Amiri is just able to dodge the bites from the two snakes. In a panic, she enters a rage and swings as hard as she can at the snake directly to the south of her.

    She has Greater Trip, her trip attacks provoke from all allies including herself; other maneuvers such as Reposition specifically say it doesn't provoke from the person who does it but Trip just provokes from everyone, including the person who did the trip.

    Lol, yes. But she's only got one level of diviner and seven levels of fighter. She already used true strike and her only other spells are shield and identify. She's wearing armor so she had a spell-failure chance anyways, which is what I rolled last round.

    Ha, I feel bad because you've been trying to get that spell to work forever and you really didn't really slow her down much. Although, don't forget Storming the Diamond Gate: you got it off then and he didn't even have a dagger to cut his lips open.

    The cool thing about True Strike is that an arcane caster can still use it without failure while Full-Plated, since it has no Somatic Components. True Strike is literally just yelling something magic and having a little archery model. I've long been pondering a Paladin/Sorcerer/(Possibly DD) that uses that spell exclusively while being a melee powerhouse.

    Ernest casts Grease at the now-visible lady's polearm! (Inital Reflex DC 19 to negate entire effect.)

    In her rage, Amiri is able to shake off any ill effects of the snake's bite, but winces at the pain.

    She unleashes two powerful attacks on the snake with her large bastard sword.

    Damage: 2d8 + 12 + 6 ⇒ (6, 7) + 12 + 6 = 31

    Power Attack 2: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 10 - 2 = 24
    Damage: 2d8 + 12 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 12 + 6 = 23

    If I'm lucky enough to kill Snake 1 with that first strike, then please use attack #2 against snake 2. 11/18 rounds of rage used.

    Shin turns invisible so that he can stand up without fear of further injury not realizing that all enemies have constant See Invisibility, mwoo oo ah ah ah!.

    Ernest coats the woman's weapon in grease and Durra drops it! Amiri quickly finishes off the two snakes.

    Because scenario writers aren't smart enough to give NPCs backup weapons Because Durra is an Aspis agent and did not come prepared with a backup weapon, she reaches down and tries to pick up her guisarme.

    But she is unable to pick it up from the ground.

    That's pretty much how my sundering fighter/Living Monolith shuts down fights too. Adamantine polearm that can one-shot most weapons + NPCs rarely have backup weapons = NPCs surrender or stand there and let you slaughter them.

    "Guys! Let's just try to take her alive! She'll know things!" Ernest, realizing Lipstitch was cast successfully, adds on a little more to the Aspis agent. "Just, uh, wiggle your hands like, uh, like this if you give up! I mean, you, uh, want to live, right?" He makes a weird, meaningless hand gesture as his Standard.

    Plus, Sundering doesn't destroy wealth in PFS. Double-win!

    Durra gives Ernest a middle finger and begins to raise her foot to stomp on an egg. With perfect timing Sahar puts the Aspis agent into a deep slumber and she slumps over (luckily not on any eggs).

    Out of combat!

    Her morale was to fight to the death and start crushing eggs out of spite if things were going badly, which can of course affect the success of the mission.

    Durra's stuff!:

    There are 30 lizardfolk eggs in this chamber, gathered in the corner near the door.

    You also find a half-composed letter she was writing, apparently in response to the discarded letter you found earlier, as it was addressed to Aglorn Desimire. It promises riches beyond imagining to pay off the Consortium’s debt for the portal and offers wry well-wishes for setting up “a lasting base of operations in the middle of a glacier.”

    This massive iron door is pocked with evenly spaced holes in a roughly square pattern. Mithral rods are placed in a strange pattern in the door, with five other rods lying on the ground in a small stack directly in front of the door.

    DC 15 Linguistics or Aklo:
    The random assortment of rods is actually the Aklo character for the letter “K.”

    Inside the room (the door code was already cracked by Durra) is a mummy with lots o' stuff! Most of it was perishable and either did not survive or is not worth much. However, there remains a platinum coffer worth 5,000 gp. Inside are four scrolls of remove curse and a treatise on the worship of Ydersius written on a series of serpentskin scrolls.

    After examining the treasure and taking good notes to return back to the Society, you find that the entire Muckmouth tribe has gathered to determine what to do next. This includes a group of five warriors just returned from a patrol. The Muckmouth tribe invites you to a feast to honor your valor and accomplishments.

    At this feast the clan reviews how you conducted yourselves during the adventure. Lizardfolk come forward and give their opinions about the party, whether for good or ill, and discuss whether making an alliance with any outside group, Aspis or Pathfinder, is worth the bother.

    One person is allowed to speak on behalf of the Pathfinders to try to ally with the Muckmouth. There are bonuses and penalties that I will factor in later depending on certain things that have happened so far in how you dealt with the lizardfolk and the Aspis.

    I've got a pig (+3 diplomacy) and a Shirt Reroll. Let's DO THIS. Though I have to ask, is there preparatory time? If so, I'd learn both Eagle's Splendor and Tongues to use to speak more directly with them. Can't think of anything else to use in this (since I don't think I own the source for Enhanced Diplomacy, nor do I like "I cast every minute while talking to people."

    "Good lizardfolk of the Muckmouth, I'm Ernest Kalthet, Certified Pathfinder Agent. I understand your hesitancy to ally yourself with anyone outside of your realm of control, but I implore you; the outside world is not a place to be ignored or rejected as purely evil! While you may think that your current locale is 'good enough', surely it can't be made better? Sharing ideas between cultures is what makes peoples of any kind grow! The Society is one such kind of people, not unlike a tribe. We are of many backgrounds and ethnicities, but we all share common goals. We gather knowledge for the safety of everyone. We try to make friends everywhere we leave, so we can return later in peace. We counter against the despicable Aspis, for obvious reasons I'm sure you're already aware. We of the Pathfinder Society, would like to be your gateway to the outside world, if you would agree to be ours to your realm. Besides, isn't having real friends better than being alone?"

    After Ernest's speech the Muckmouth discuss among themselves for several moments before one of the elders stands up.

    "You must understand our hesitation to ally with the Pathfinder mongooses, for we were so recently taken advantage of by other smooth-skins such as yourselves. They gave us similar honeyed words and then at the slightest hesitation they stole our eggs from us and forced us into slavery to save our children."

    "So you will forgive our mistrust of the smooth-skinned. Despite this, the Pathfinders have shown to be a tribe wholly apart and different from the Aspis scum. The Muckmouth," he motions around to the many lizardfolk who have gathered around for the great feast, "have thus agreed to take your words as truth and signs of friendship-for your actions have spoken words enough that you will be faithful allies. The Muckmouth will holds these lands and welcome any future Pathfinders to join us in feast and friendship."

    Yay! Secondary success condition! Also, lizardfolk allies!
