Brallenera finds two small bottles of...something, on Ting's unconscious figure.
After checking the others, comparing the shade of pale of their skin, she'd figure out Carr's most likely to wake up after administration of healing...if those bottles are healing potions.

![]() |

Carr is also the most likely to not die if you accidentally pour acid down his throat... yay resist acid

![]() |

Aww, too bad I can't even know if these are magical potions. Maybe it's some beak polish?
Brallenera tries to administer the potion to AngelFace
Awww. Let's hope for the best. That's what you got when your comrades in arms aren't dwarves.

GM Chyro |

1 & 2 healing, 3-6 acid?: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Acid dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Carr is very much unharmed...but not yet conscious.

GM Chyro |

1&2 healing, 3-5 acid: 1d5 ⇒ 1
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Brallenera took the right one this time, and Carr comes to, to the scene of butchered bugs, Scorpions, and only Brallenera standing....although she didn't come out unhurt either.

![]() |

Awww, come on, sleepyhead! Do you know how to use this? It's supposed to heal the wounds.
The blonde weapon of mass destruction puts a wand with authority into the aasimar's hands

Carr rises slowly and unsteadily. "Ow... I think perhaps we should not cast spells near the statues. I'm also certain we should go talk to the person who hired us and give him a piece of our mind... OH! After we help our other friends." He starts with... J/J, because the bird is a bird and not a people. Much love to Ting Tang.
First he actually stabilizes each of them in turn, just for safety's sake, because he's not going to take the time to heal check them, then he goes back to J and casts a cure light wounds.
CLW: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Assuming that is enough to get a reaction out of the bardish one, he goes over to the bird and decides he doesn't want to directly touch what might be a dead bird. He takes out a wand and cautiously pokes the bird with it.
CLW Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Then he actually will check that the bird is not DEAD and merely MOSTLY dead.
Heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Figuring out that bird-brain is probably going to live, he taps him again. SO MANY DICE I'M ROLLING!
CLW Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

GM Chyro |

Joseph wakes up at 7 hp, and Ting at 4 hp, after 1st taps.

![]() |

(Well, I still tap him a second time! I can't tell he's not a zombie bird!)

![]() |

ting looks up at the pretty human, "Oy, just keep's tappin wit 'at pointy stick, wroight, I's'l feel's better when tha bloody bleedin' stops wroight."
Carr, do you want to roll them or do you want me to? When were done I will subtract the total from tings wand, oh and next time I will make sure ting marks his vials.

![]() |

You can roll your own, assume that Carr is agreeable to wanding you.

![]() |

:)

clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Ting stands patiently on one foot as Carr, at arms length, continues tapping him with the wand. Smiling his tengu smile he thanks the shiny human. "T'anks, yer shiny-ness! I's feels a floggin' ton better, wroight. So's what's did I miss while's I was out?"
anyone else need heeled go ahead and use tings wand!

![]() |

Awww, I need some healing too! Uses my wand on me, SongBird, and then use it on you. No, use it on you first, you deserve it, you healed me so many times..
Songbird healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Songbird healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Ting nods his head in agreement as Joseph heals himself and Brallenera, Once everyone is finished he asks "Well's is we's goin' after the bloddy bugger 'at set tha' Caty-pillars on us, or is we's done wit 'im?"

![]() |

"I think, unfortunately, that he did not intend to attack is with giant bugs. Roughing him up would be impolite. You may though, I won't stop you for your pain and aggravation you deserve a little stress relief." Carr starts healing himself.

GM Chyro |

Varij had fled at round 3, when the scorpions arrived.
You've 2 targets left.

GM Chyro |

When you've recovered, a fallen wooden box catches your attention.
The wooden box Varij was carrying, before his early exit.
- A potion of barkskin +2
- An oil of bless weapon
- A potion of cure light wounds.
It also contains a piece of paper that looks much like a shopping list of
arcane items with notations next to each one. Halfway down the list is noted “Osirian statuette—GT"
There is Buri Buri-ban and Saldin Marifi left.

![]() |

Are the statues still with us?
Ting toddles over to the box left by the fleeing wand-waiver, opening it up the waive the contents around. "Oy, potions and oil's wroight? So's is we's goin' After Buri Buri-ban er Saldin Marifi?"
can ting replace the potion of clw he drank with this one?

GM Chyro |

No statues on you now, you retrieved 1 statue from Nafir, which turned into the Scorpions when Joseph cast his spell.
- And yes on the potion.

![]() |

No statues on you now, you retrieved 1 statue from Nafir, which turned into the Scorpions when Joseph cast his spell.
- And yes on the potion.
I assumed the statues were a one use type of thing, but I just wanted to make sure, and thanks on the potion.

GM Chyro |

Brallenera deserves a spanking for that lousy pun.
(Table tennis racket impact)
After you leave, it takes a little while to navigate the alleys to avoid the worst of crowds, but you get to your destination, the Fetching Fan café on Sengali Square.
Patrons are chatting, and one bald athletic looking man in humble clothing is sitting at a table, a small cloth package with him.
He sure fits the description of Buri Buri-ban. Someone approaches him and speaks to him, upon which he immediately rises and uncorks a flask, starting to move as he does.
Setting off three steps further with his package, he turns invisible.
Small puffs of dust can be seen, they head for a refinery building.

![]() |

Awww, and that's when you're happy your DR is doubled against non lethal damage ^^
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
The lovely blue eyes of everyone favorite dwarfess can't be fooled so easily.
Awww, follow me, he's going this way..

![]() |

perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Toddling along behind his Dwarven friend, Ting sees a man matching the description of Buri. Nodding toward the fellow with his beak. "Oy, Mistress o' Mahem don't 'at looks loike tha bloke Wroight over pause for effect Where tha bloody ah, do you's see what I see's" Seeing the same puffs of dust as Brallenera, Ting follows along behind her, one talon resting comfortably on his chakram pouch the other on his bastard sword.

GM Chyro |

As you make your way towards the building yonder, a passerby is shoved aside.
The building is large, approx 100 feet wide, just at the front.
It's about 2 floors high, no windows are to be seen.
A sign with text hangs above a door, a large flame with an X on it.
No Open Flame!
You have 0 continues left, proceed into [Level: The Refinery]?

![]() |

Ting looks up at the sign and shrugs his shoulders and smiles his tengu smile, "If'n it was important, they's would'a put's it down in Taldanies wroight." He then quickly checks the door for traps assuming its untrapped and unlocked and walks in taking a look around.
take 10 (22) on perception for traps, if it's locked or trapped he will take 10(29) on disable device, take 10 (20) perception for the room

GM Chyro |

There are no traps on the refinery door, as why would there be?
As Ting, and team, enter through the main door, they find themselves in a very large (100 by 100 feet) factory-like hall.
The place is full of vats, wooden stairways and catwalks; chains and rope hang from elaborate pulley systems and the lamps are continual flames completely enclosed in glass globes.
Every vat you see has the same sign on it as outside.
As well as the same text in Kelish.
Refinery workers are busy all over the place, moving vats, checking boards with text and various other things.
The refinery is lit only by natural light that spills in throw large windows on the ceiling and upper walls.
20 feet from where you enter, you see the small puffs of dust.
------------------------
Some of the workers, including what looks to be a foreman, yell at you, making gestures to back away.
"Siz burada ne arıyorsunuz? Çık dışarı, tehlikeli burada, hareket ettir!"
"What are you people doing here? Get out, it's dangerous in here, move it!"
Alright team, your move.

GM Chyro |

Linguistics doesn't mention anything other than writings and learning a new speech.
You would at least get the idea that flames are dangerous in this place.
Them making gestures to go away is pretty obvious, but without trained Kelish it's all Chinese to you.
Let's call Sense Motive 16, which is 20 for hunches, minus 4 with the danger signs, that you get that they are trying to get you away for your own safety....and theirs, should you carry fire.

GM Chyro |

And so?
The puffs indicate Buri Buri-ban, but the workers yell and gesture you back.

![]() |

And so?
The puffs indicate Buri Buri-ban, but the workers yell and gesture you back.
The puffs? Is the map up somewhere?
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17Ting looks around, "So's lets fine 'is bloke an' bloody well get's out o' 'ear, wroight." if ting can see him. Ting follows Buri Buri-ban.

GM Chyro |

No map is given, and it would take me some time to fabricate one.

![]() |

No map is given, and it would take me some time to fabricate one.
that's cool, ting will follow the guy, until he stops or blows himself up, I assuming the puffs are something he is smoking, or is he like 'pigpen' from 'peanuts' and a cloud of dust follows him everywhere?

![]() |

Ting, toddling quickly after the puffer, answers "We's could just run faster, wroight?" Turning and looking down at Brallenera's short legs, he smiles his tengu smile and continues. "Never Minds. How's about's a blunt arrow an' we's knock's the bugger out?"

![]() |

"Unfortunately I don't have anything available for someone invisible, I only have something to make us less visible, which seems... unhelpful." Carr says while trying to keep up.

GM Chyro |

@ Ting:
No, the puffs are the bits of dust moving where his feet are.
Anyway, let's get to init for the chase!
Brallenera: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Carr: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Joseph: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Ting Tang: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Buri Buri-ban: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
The chase, round1
Joseph & Ting
------------
Buri Buri-ban
------------
Carr, Brallenera
Okay, the situation is:
You guys are at the entrance, inside.
Buri Buri-ban is 20 feet away, and has total concealment.
At the other side of the building, there is another exit, so roughly 80 feet ahead, but he can be moving into non linear ways, keep your eyes sharp.
He can try to hide, as well, calling for a DC 15 perception when he does so, to spot his location.
![At the start of every round, you make a DC 10 fort roll, or you'll be sneezing like mad from the dust & spice, causing the nauseated condition for the duration of a round.]!
That said, go for it.

![]() |

DC 10 Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Not sure if the +2 dwarf bonus agaisnt poison would apply there. It would be funnier if it didn't. ^^

![]() |

Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Carr starts hacking, wheezing, and otherwise appearing infirm. "Go on... without me." Ever the drama queen is Carr.

![]() |

fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Ting looks at Carr, cocking his head blinking his eyes, which in his goggles magnifies them, so I'm sure this looks really awesome but hard to define ;) dangling his tongue in his tangles smile, "Yeah I was gonna stops and smell tha spices me self. But we's 'as work ta do's wroight." Keeping an eye on where he thinks the invisible person is, he double moves toward the door. "I's'l block tha doors, so's he don't escapie, you's blokes tries and grabs 'im, Wroight."
If blocking the door doesn't help, ting will come from the other side and try and flank him.

![]() |

Awww, AngelFace, stays there near the door. I can handle the spice. We just have to block the ways out, and his spell will fade away, right SongBird?

GM Chyro |

The chase, round 1
Ting double moves towards the other side. Now 60 feet distance.
Joseph stands, as per request, at the door.
------------
Buri Buri-ban Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Double moves towards the exit, and with his head start, is there...maybe? He's not left the building, that's for sure, as the door didn't open yet.
Curse their 40 feet speed.
------------
Carr feels bad, sneezing a lot.
Brallenera is feeling fine, for now.

GM Chyro |

The workers, and the foreman, seeing you either do not understand, or simply don't comply, ring a bell.
(DING...DING....DING...)
"Those fools are running around in here!
They'll be a danger to themselves and us!
Get them out of here!"
A group of factory guards arrive at the scene, and will move after Buri Buri-ban.
