As the day wears on Lux makes a point to keep an helpful eye on Mik's work.
Sail check to appraise Mik's work: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Bohd Stormcaller |

"Aight mon, well, luckily I be good at improvisin'!"

Heal Check #1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 SUCCESS
Heal Check #2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 FAILURE
Heal Check #3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 SUCCESS
Well at least I succeeded in most of them..

Terz "Lux" |

Lux over the next few minutes points out those above deck, Mael, Skaldi, and those that as far as he knows are still friendly. He also makes not of who to avoid. "There are a couple others below deck or in the kitchen likely. The peg-leg woman that assisted the chell is Satinder."

Bohd, You succeed at saving one man's leg from an amputation by cleaning the wound with some spare rum, excising some dead tissue, and stitching the wound closed. You save a man's eyesight as well by applying an ointment to his wounded eye, which will aid in the healing process and reducing scarring. The last man you work on is not so lucky, for in trying to excise necrotic flesh from a deep wound on his shoulder, you slip with the scalpel, nicking an artery and causing the man to bleed to death in less than a minute's time. Quarne lets out an exasperated sigh, Ah well, two out of three isn't bad. Shame about Maddog McGuffin, but thankfully for you, no one will miss him. Think you're up for this work, boy?
Terz, Mik's eyes flash with a sudden flash of emotion, Satinder, eh? I'll have to give her my thanks later then. How did she get her peg leg anyway?

Terz "Lux" |

The inter webd stole my post.
Sense motive: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
Lux forces back a snarl, " she's a sly you know. Favors the ladies herself. Threatened to castrate the last man tried to sweet talk her. " Lux conveniently leaves out he was the last man she threatened to castrate.

"Well mon, woulda been nicah if I 'ad prep'd mah 'ealin' spells, but ja, I can be doin' da job."

Bohd Stormcaller |

"Righto mon.." Not happy that he let a man die, Bohd's mood has quickly soured. He had never been a particularly good healer - he was better at keeping people alive with food and water, not medical attention. This day had proven just how his skill at non-magical medicine was inefficient. Hopefully the next day he can prove himself more useful.
As per his orders, Bohd leaves the medical cabin and heads below deck towards the Quartermaster's office so he could get properly fitted, not to mention retrieve the supplies his new mentor requested.
Didn't realize I was still in the spotlight. >.>

Cap'n Jackson Sparrowshank Esq. |

Bohd, you retrieve the surgeon's apron and 5 healer kits, as well as a scalpel that functions as a war razor. And yes, I know the issues with that weapon, but still, it could save your life one day! Also, you did the standard meet-n-greet with Grok. Figured it would be best to just brush over this to get the campaign flowing smoothly.
Terz, your tutelage proves to be valuable to the new recruits. This grants you a +5 bonus to CHA based checks made to influence them or a +2 bonus when using aid another to help influence them.
Maeleg, you succeed in performing basic swabbing work, making repairs to some of the storm damaged ship.
Skaldi, you succeed in performing basic swabbing work, making repairs to some of the storm damaged ship. Also, the NPC attitudes are changed to reflect actions that were either unnoticed or ruled out by the last DM. Now for me to get the Google doc up so you can see it!
Satinder, you succeed on your cooking check and cook a savory meal of pepper-stuffed crab cakes.
Jake, you clean the kitchen and improve Kroop's attitude to Friendly.
As you all finish your jobs, you notice that the golden evening sun which lit the sky in alternating hues of orange, pink, and red, has set. The Wormwood bustles with activity, with pirates singing sea medleys, gambling, and more than likely pilfering other pirates' stashes. You ponder what you want to do. After a few moments you decide what you want to do...
Nighttime activities!!!

Night time action Influence Mik
Terz hangs close Mik keeping up his hospitality. When the rum rations make their rounds he mentions, "You will want to drink it whether you fancy or no. We are being watched." He points out Jape and Fibbs and others he is sure are in Pluggs clique. Over the course of the first part of the evening Terz introduces Mik to Skaldi, and Maeleg. "Oh yeah and you already met Satinder."
Influence Mik: 1d20 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 1 + 5 = 25
As Terz introduces Mik to the others he points reminds the others, [b}"Keep an eye on Scourge and his lackies. They have been turning folks again us while we sleep."[/b]
"Mik perhaps you an introduce us to the others that you were at sea with. Except the chelish lady I have met one or two many of them."

Satinder Morne |

Since I can't see the google doc, I will influence someone, but can't decide who yet :P
Sing: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Influence: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24 > (cha+song)

Bohd Stormcaller |

Where are the stats for a war razor?
After a hard day, Bohd gets to bed early, tired and frustrated due to the day's events. He plans on getting up early in the morning and needs his shut eye instead of drinking and talking with the men.
Early in the morning, he intends on meditating and preparing his spells.

Capn Jack the link to the crew's attitude is broken should we use the old one that is still on the original campaign? Sat remember that we also just got a influx of newbs including your chellish lady friend and the old Varisian in addition to Mik whom I have been hanging with and influencing.
Second Night Action
influence Mik: 1d20 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 1 + 5 = 26 hopefully this brings him to all the way to Helpful
Knowing Mik's infatuation with Satinder Terz keeps being friendly with Mik and enjoys the song stylings of Satinder. Assuming Satinder keeps singing for the second night action.

Cap'n Jackson Sparrowshank Esq. |

Glad everything appears to have went well with your surgery, Satinder! Or at least, I presume and hope that it did!
Thanks for providing the link, Terz!
The link I posted is not showing. I will work on getting that up. Also, has anyone heard from Skaldi? For reasons your Cap'n is withholding, I would prefer he post and be ready for this event. Sounds mysterious, but it will be revealed soon enough. :)

Satinder Morne |

Skaldi hasn't rsponded for ages on any of the boards. I fear we have to go on without him :(
And yes, surgery and recovery went amazing. One more week and it should be 100% :)

Cap'n Jackson Sparrowshank Esq. |

To run the risk of spoiling everything, there will be an encounter in place of the 2nd night time action. I did not want to start it without him, because I wrote it for the full group of 6. I can easily adjust it for a 5 person group, but would still like him to at least have a shot. After having people wait patiently on me, I at least want to return the favor. At the very least give him until tomorrow night. I will be looking online every few hours to see if he has posted. Also, excellent news Satinder! Very glad to hear it.

Satinder Morne |

I'd love for him to return, but his last post was on the 31st of July. I fear it will be in vain... :-(
