Whilst we wait, this mission assumes you are in Absalom. Feel free to depict thyselves, the trip back from Oppara for most of you, etc. etc.

Players from the Dalsine Affair were recalled to the headquarters since the Society's foothold in Oppara is rustled at best, and the lodge has been temporarily closed for investigations.

Grand Lodge

Ok... have two PCs I can play for Mists.

A divine Jackbooted Chelish Paladin (yeah - its a weird one)... I am not locked into the Chelish thing as yet but its an Aasamar Paladin

OOOOOORRRRR

A Demon Blooded Sorcerer of clearly Abysmal descent.

Any preferences from the Gallery while I faff around with both Characters. I am not leaning any way at the moment as neither has developed a personality.

-------------

Everyone apart from Hiram should have their chronicle. I am having issues with getting Hirams credit logged but you can take it that he has the same 501 gp and 2 PP that everyone else got.

Hiram, I'll scan your chronicle to you later today as the scanner isn't at my house.

Grand Lodge

Hiram is reported on the Session log now.

Everyone just check your character sessions on My Pathfinder society - you all should have 2pp showing.

that sorcerer sounds like fun - either will be interesting I'm sure.

back to Absalom it is, then.

Harboth buys a flask of something strong and looks for passage back with his new mates. He wonders aloud, Why do they keep jerking us about - Absalom, then here, then there...seems expensive, and it's hard to get used to a place.

Hiram is now level 2. Woot!

The trip back to Absalom was long and somber for Hiram. Seeing his faction leader, and possibly friend, killed by a member of his own family was a shock. Political intrigue was one thing, but outright murder? That was something entirely different. It shook his faith and having to return both bodies to the Dalsine estate was something he did not wish to dwell upon.

Standing on the deck, his thoughts dark and brooding, he heard Redacre muse aloud. In an effort to lighten his own mood, he responds, "Perhaps the Society has more money than sense?"

Harboth turns to Hiram. As he offers Hiram a drink, he muses Maybe - you saw what happened at the Dalsine mansion. That illusion of Chalfon Dalsine makes me wonder, though - did that murder really happen?

A tall thin woman, just under six feet, enters the Grand Lodge mess hall. Wearing violet robes with sleeves that terminate in a bright red flame motifs, and stark white hair that gradiently becomes red at the tips, she strikes an obvious arcane appearance.

Chelsea makes her way to one of the serving tables and picks up a cup of tea. Sitting down at a nearby bench, she takes a sip.

"Cold... what do these servants get paid to do?"
She thinks to herself while conjuring a small flame under the cup to bring it up to an acceptable temperature. Seeing a nearby server scurry by, she sends him a fiery glare to convey her displeasure.

Locking in with these players here. See Discussion Tab for more info and tier voting.

Unless anyone has anything else to do, the boat docks in Absalom. Upon landing, Ernest (in more than a few words) bids farewell to the group and heads to the Ruby Prince's manor to ensure the arrival of the king of Osirion's new assistant. Whenever you would individually return to the Grand Lodge, you are given written orders to be "on-call" issued one Drendle Dreng.

You are all sent a summons in the dead of night by one Adril Hestram. His large and often goofy grin matches his booming voice. He personally offers each of you a glass of Pre-Secession Andoran recipe whiskey and a seat as you enter. Once everyone arrives, he starts the briefing.

"I apologize for the late night call, but we've got a call from an old friend of mine; Nigel Aldain. It turns out the Blakros Museum is up to something again. The Venture Captain stands up and starts pacing around the room. "I'm betting some of you believe the rumours; that the Blakros Museum is cursed. I do, personally. This time, some darkness has descended upon the place and those who enter are blasted with evil and left raving through its halls, more beast than men," Adril says as he assumes another goofy grin and an ape-like stance and plods around a few steps. He then returns to his regular posture and continues. "The curator, Nigel Aldain, is an old associate of the Society, though he chose to leave our organization some years back after a... disagreement." Adril face contorts into a sheepish frown, as if remembering some distasteful incident from his youth.

"Since his induction as curator, Nigel has long denied the Society access to the Blakros Museum’s considerable collection of relics and scrolls, using his extensive contacts to nab several excellent finds right out from under us... he always DID had a nose for the hunt. Whatever is past between Nigel and the Society, he needs our help now. Perhaps if we can come to his aid, he may think on rejoining the Pathfinder Society, or at least offering to share his discoveries with us."

"Apparently the trouble at Blakros Museum began this morning, shortly after a now-wayward Pathfinder named Lugizar Trantos returned to Absalom after months spent in the Mwangi Expanse. Supposedly, instead of coming straight to the Lodge to report in, he went to Blakros, sold his finds to Nigel, and then disappeared with a hefty sum of gold." Adril pulls the skin on his face downward to give his face a slimmer look to emphasize his next point; "The few who glimpsed Lugizar claimed he was much changed by his time in the Mwangi... gaunt, his eyes yellowed and unfocused, a strange rasping cough that seemed to wrack his now wasted frame. Whatever he brought back with him, we believe it is the cause of the Blakros Museum’s ills. Root it out."

He also hands you some information on the Museum's layout and current exhibits (which I need to get set up online. Entering Muddle Phase 1.)

Harboth sips his whiskey, savoring every delectable drop. This is clearly distracting him from Hestram's briefing. At last, his glass nearing empty, he turns to the Venture Captain, though his eyes frequently return to the bottle.

Cursed? Do we have any clue as to what this "curse" may be about? Some magic? A disease?

"Now, of course!" Hestrum states as he clasps his hands firmly on Hiram's and Chelsea's shoulders. "There's no time like the present! While I don't want to stop you sprouts from asking any questions you may have, I don't want to have to wrestle whatever thing it is Nigel has awoken from its deep slumber THIS time!" This time? Oh, that doesn't sound good.

As they prepare to head out, Harboth comments to Hiram, Doesn't sound like any disease I've ever heard of. At any rate, if it works that fast it would be more widespread. This must be some sort of - he waves his thick arms about - arcane magic thing.

"I'm sure the Quartermaster has anything you guys can afford," he says while picking up the hand from Hiram's shoulder and pointing his thumb in a direction. He then puts on a proud smile. "While time is of the essence, good Pathfinders like you guys should always ask about what's gonna be at the bottom of the pit their resident mage or walking tin can is likely to fall into," he says as he inadvertently, yet single-handedly shakes Chelsea while getting yet another laugh. "I don't know more than I've said, but you should have a little time to knock down some doors for info and buy some stuff." He then releases the Chelish woman.

Muscles protrude from the layer of blubber Hestrum's built up over the years of deskwork as he flexes his arms and bellows a little to loudly for the hour; "Don't dally too long or you're gonna have to see ol' Hestrum climbin' up the Spire of Nex to save some maiden from Ruthazek! You know there'll be Scarni throwin' bets on that ape fight!" Hestrum then almost doubles over in laughter at his own joke.

About the curse.

Chelsea brushes off the shoulder of her robe, looking slightly disgusted, then asks Hestram curtly.
"Is that all?"

Male Bear Burglar 1

"Eeyup."

He offers his hand to help Chelsea up (nearly picking her up out of her chair) and ushers you all out of his study for some rest, unless you've got any final questions.

Chelsea:
The Book of the Damned reads a little about a demon lord worshiped in much of the Mwangi’s darkest interior; his name is Angazhan, as a thing of primordial darkness, a foul-breathed demon who grunts prophecies of blood to apes and madmen whose heart is the beating jungle. If apes and the Mwangi are involved, then so is he.

Hiram:
Lugizar Trantos spent the better part of a year in the Mwangi Expanse. At first he wrote letters to his brother and wife, but after a few months these stopped coming and most gave him up for dead. His letters spoke of a lucrative find at one point, three idols of dark wood carved in the shape of bearded monkeys.

Ander stands as Hestrum dismisses them. One last question if I may, this Trantos fellow, his Venture-Captain can't shed any light on what he was exploring? Also where might we find Aldain now? Is he still at the museum?

Male Bear Burglar 1

"Lugizar was a Venture Captain in his own right, and reported directly to the Decemvirate," the Venture-Captain says as he shakes his head. "Never a good idea to go it alone, but he insisted."

"But if I know Nigel, he'll be at the Museum, whining his elven little fanny off." Adril thinks to himself, then looks to the the lot. "If he's NOT there, then he's as good as done as the LAST curator they had."

I have had much trouble with Blackros Museum before, says Kyoshiro slowly. It has great many things that should have remained hidden and forgotten.

It is no wonder that they keep losing their curators. While straight faced he gives a shake of the head as he speaks.

We have full permission in Blackros Museum to act as we see fit? I have been twice. Both times I was careful to know how much damage we could do if needed.

I think too that maybe we need to visit quartermaster for supplies

Hiram and Chelsea, are you sharing your knowledge?

Being suddenly ripped from her seat on the bench, Chelsea looks started at being manhandled like a doll. She then openly glares at the venture captain with magma colored eyes. With much restraint she says aloud to the group.

Chelsea then makes her way to the door.
