Hiram grumbles beneath his breath as they slog through the muck. Eventually the grumbling gets a sort of cadence and before long he's humming along to his own complaints.

Male Bear Burglar 1

@Ander:
You have no difficulty finding Crone's Tongue since the scenario only says "It's a 2-part mission, until act 3" in the first part and then never mentions it again. Fortunately for the Chelish, it is almost impossible to let it dry out when it rains like this all day. Feel free to pretend like you needed Knowledge Nature or something, if desired.

As the party travels through the boggy bog pit, Ander occasionally stops to pick a plant and study it, before discarding it. What was it? Red plant with frilly berries? No that's not it. Eventually he stops, picking a plant and begins to pace excitedly. This is it! Frilly plant with red beads hanging from it! He walks over to Chelsea handing her a fistful of the plants. Here you go my dear! You know, I'd actually read about this plant once in an old tome at the Lodge in Absalom. Botanical Species of Avistan, Eastern Region, including Taldor, Qadira, Andoran, and portions of the Verduran Forest & Five Kings Mountains, I think it was called.

    Male Bear Burglar 1

    Ander has 3 new friends, should be search, though the alcohol in his systems seems to have deterred them. Chelsea finds 2 that have not fed on her hot-bloodedness. Leeches apparently like royal (or divine) blood, because both Hiram and Opal are packing six unwanted travelers each. Four of them on Hiram have fed pretty well, and only three have eaten the blood of angels. Luccius finds two on, both having grown fat.

    After a few minutes of traveling, some of the party feels a little drained.
    Hiram takes four special* Con damage.
    Luccius takes two special* Con damage.
    Opal takes three special* Con damage.

    * (A Heal DC Opal can take 10 to demolish):
    Each leech deals 1 point of temporary Constitution damage that’s recovered as soon as the PC is healed in any way. Once a leech deals damage, it becomes bloated and can be removed with no difficulty (or falls off by itself.) Leeches can be pulled or burnt off (dealing 1 hp damage), or salted off (no damage).

    So, how are you guys handling the leeches, with all the damage and whatnot? removing them and then channeling is the least resource-heavy version, since I didn't see "salt" on anyone's list of gear.

    The path continues for about a mile and a half when it comes to the edge of a shallow bog whose waters rise above the muck, covering the tracks entirely. A patchy film of sickly colored, rubbery fungus floats upon the surface. Near the water’s edge, three moss-covered planks hang cockeyed from a rotten wooden post.

    Male Bear Burglar 1

    @Ander:
    Shrieker: This human-sized purple mushroom emits a piercing sound that lasts for 1d3 rounds whenever there is movement or a light source within 10 feet. This shriek makes it impossible to hear any other sound within 50 feet. The sound attracts nearby creatures that are disposed to investigate it. Some creatures that live near shriekers learn that this noise means there is food or an intruder nearby.

    This creature is likely obscured by the thick film of algae and reacted to Hiram's movements in the water. Nobody has actually tried to say anything yet, so I really haven't had to make them redact it.

  • Chelsea delays, waiting for a target!
    --
  • Hiram steps up and draws his whip/DEVO puns!
    ---
  • Opal delays as well!
    ---
  • Luccius steps up next to his Taldan acquaintance!
    ---
  • Ander readies his blade and thinks, though can't really tell anyone anything with all the noise!
    ---
  • The shrieking does not stop, but a more pressing matter is at hand! A big glob of purple-ish grossness swims (kind of like standing, if, say, Hiram had ) out from underneath the muck! It is roughly the size of a man, and has a lot of long tendrils! One of its feeler-y-things reach out towards Hiram to give him a tentacle slap as it inches closer!

    Tendril!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 81d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
