Jim puts up his hands to indicate no intention of harm. "Hey, look guys, maybe this isn't the best way to handle things. Jace, I don't think he's lying to us. Aldern, what happened at your Sandpoint mansion was some dark magic, and it seems to have ties to the murders in this city. How about we all put down our swords and try to solve this thing together?" Jim looks to Jace. "What do you say, big guy?" He then turns to Aldern. "It would really put a lot of people at ease if you could help us out a stop to this Skinsaw cult, especially since Jace here saw someone who looked just like you turn into a 'skinsaw man'. Some kind of botched lich ritual?"
He paces to be between the two men, though not directly. He looks back and forth between them, his eyes gently pleading. "Let's not let bad situations get the best of us, eh?"

"It is as Jim says. There was a man at the Misgivings who claimed to be you, and suffered from a curse that came from your ancestor Vorel. Now we come here, only to find you alive again and apparently in possession of all your senses. What are we to think?"

Jace stows his blade back into the sheath but he does not back down as he believes his word to be true to this point.
"Explain yourself Aldern or we can take a trip down to the local Wizards and have your mind scryed. Your choice. It is one or the other as something is going on." His anger begins to take root little by little once again which clouds his better judgement.
Careful Jace. You are walking a fine line."

"Clearly, good man, we have been grasping for straws for a bit now, and these murders have us perplexed. We were quite surprised to find you and the missus here, and so we are not at out best. I think if we all agree to sit and talk, no one needs be worried. You ok, ma'am? We didn't frighten you too much? Please, let's sit..." looking at Jace, "on our hands, if need be."

Aldern eyes you warily as Iesha seems to feel less threatened once the sword is sheathed.
Ssshink.
Aldern sheathes his blade as his eyes narrow. "Fine. Let us head to the study and we will deal with this matter since you seem so insistent on doing so." he says as the man ushers you through the doors behind him. Iesha quickly retreats into the room and places herself in the far corner as Aldern waits at the door for you to enter.
