I am having some real life issues at the moment. I will try and get up a post tomorrow. Apologies for the poor post rate.

Hope it's nothing too severe. May the Force be with you (or whatever).

I.m going through some real life difficulties as well, so you have all my compassion, bold strider. I'll also post in the Row thread soon to explain more.

For what it's worth, confusion just says "attack your nearest ally" - it doesn't necessarily say "make a full attack against your nearest ally with your deadliest weapon and feats...."

Good point, though I'll leave it up to the GM's interpretation.

If anyone has a folio/shirt reroll or something like that to give Ennoia, now would be the perfect time.

My thinking regarding confusion, for what it's worth, was that you're not being mind-controlled in the quintessential sense so much as you have no control over your actions and are just kind of flailing around - hence your attacks might not be be as skilled anyways.

If anyone has ANY sort of stop they could pull out, now's the time.

Waiting to see ruling on Vlad's +4 aura - if that keeps Ali alive, Grim may try to save him....
If I were you, I'd still spend the turn trying to kill/neutralize whateveritis to minimize the chances of a TPK.
IF we make it out, we should be able to afford to bring him back.

@Grimdoc: Just conjecture, but I have this funny feeling our enemy is actually a kind of ooze....
@DM: If I had a character folio reroll, would it be too late to use it on Vladek's initial save against confusion, (or grant it to Ennoia)?

Sorry for the huge delay in posting. An update will happen tomorrow.

GM, I went ahead and glimpsed at the Chronicle sheet, for which we apparently have to make a choice signed by you. Personally I'll pick Eox please, in rememberance of the failures we owed to negative energy.

Would you mind sharing these choices with us, so the rest of us can make our selections known to the DM in a time-efficient manner?

Orb of a Distant World: You have recovered one of the spheres from the orrery of distant worlds. The sphere is a use-activated item that can expend a number of charges to cast a spell-like ability as a standard action (CL 11th). The sphere has 4 charges and cannot be recharged. Choose one of the following spheres when you gain this boon: Sun (searing light, 1 charge); Aballon (haste, 2 charges); Castrovel (detect thoughts, 1 charge); Golarion (resilient sphere, 4 charges); Akiton (rage, 1 charge); Verces (align weapon, 1 charge); Eox (death ward, 2 charges); Triaxus (teleport, 4 charges); Liavara (dream, 4 charges); Bretheda (restoration, 2 charges); Apostae (fly, 2 charges); or Aucturn (confusion, 2 charges).

Gotta go with Aucturn. Vladek has always been fascinated with the place.

Ali will take Triaxus for his orb.
Thanks for running, GM!
I remember running this back in Bloomington years ago when it came out and we had a blast with it. That group didn't struggle as much as ours though but thankfully Ennoia was able to join us or it might have been a TPK.

I was honestly surprised by the deadliness of this module. Usually Paizo material is relatively easy for PFS-geared players due to the higher wealth-by-level, but I think the nature of the enemies and the highlights of the players' characters didn't mesh well.
Once Joesef responds here about his orb and Grimdoc responds to my private message, I will send out chronicles unless someone is dying to move to another game with this character.
| GM Bold Strider |
I have spoken with Grimdoc. He wishes for this to be the end of the mighty dwarf, however he will expend his Prestige and gold (+ selling of his items) to fund the costs of everything spent on this mission, thus you will not have any extraneous costs for the scrolls, raises or restorations for this mission.
You should express your gratitude to the mighty dwarf in the Flaxseed Gameplay thread! ;-) Everyone should know of Grimdoc's mighty sacrifice!
Also, Aarvid. It is only appropriate that I apply to the next game you will GM. Let me know if you plan on starting one soon.
Once Joesef makes the choice, I will send out Chronicles and report the module.

Very noble choice, Grimdoc!
I've also had instances where bringing a character back just didn't seem right and I felt it was better to just leave them dead. I don't think I've done it yet because I've only had a couple characters die and none of them were in particularly heroic circumstances I felt worthy of an end. But I've thought about actually getting rid of all the raise/resurrection/etc spells in long campaigns like APs because sometimes it just seems silly (in my Reign of Winter campaign the magus died about 5-6 times at the high levels and would have died even more often if not for the breath of life).

May I suggest writing a eulogy together for him so that we can post it on the Wall of Names group on Facebook?

Does that also mean I didn't need to use Risen Guard for my bringing-back?

Thanks Bold Strider, got it!
Since it's probably the last time I post in a campaign we all share, allow me to say (or repeat for those who were in my RoW campaign) that I loved playing with you guys - these four years of PbP were a blast for me! Thanks for making that experience memorable. :)

Got it, thanks for the game! This one was very different from anything else I had played before, a lot of danger!
