Pelkin Norwind |
Do I get another AoO vs. Yellow or is that an old statement?
Pelkin will wait until he is enlarged before acting.
Rogar dwarf |
Rogar fires off a magic missile. at red
"Take that!"
mm: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 3, 1) + 5 = 14
The bralani azata swings at red again.

Amarthecthel |
Kalamardian's spell finishes, enlarging Pelkin.
Delay to see if Lamare hits me again with Touch of Luck.
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
@Pelkin: Yeah, that one should be removed. But Qilfobber just blasted Yellow away, so no worries!
@Professor: Whoops, yeah, keep on forgetting you're tiefling :P
Qilfobber's magical assault finishes off the wounded elemental, leaving only two remaining!
Pelkin grows to ogre-ish heights as Lamare gives Amarthecthel a touch o the good stuff :)
Unfortunately, Rogar's summoned allies forgot how to use their weapons as they flail them uselessly around their target. At least his magic missiles were useful.

@Amarthecthel: Thank goodness green is paralyzed ala the Hold Monster!
The elves make short work of their targets, all of them fading away as magical steel cuts into the forms!
Almost instantly, various pipes and vents begin whistling as the entire compound begins to rumble. Various monitors begin flashing various symbols and speak in a strange language and various sirens blare out warning sounds.
AI Isirah shouts from her side-pocket on Qilfibber. "Oh no! The compound's failsafes are being removed! In 90 seconds, this entire area will be flooded with acidic gas! You gotta get out or here!"
You have 15 rounds to get as far as you can! Luckily, you still have 5 more rounds of haste :) So what do you do?
Pelkin Norwind |
Acidic gas? That doesn't sound pleasant. Pelkin will make sure everyone is able to move before taking up the rear guard.
Hmm, is there anything left to accomplish first? Just trying to remember if there isn't any reason to simply leave.
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
Not really... the point was to explore; time is just getting cut short now.
Amarthecthel |
"The area is still likely filled with dangerous guardians," says Amarthecthel. "Grab what you want from this room and let us run."
Rogar dwarf |
"I can dimension door some of us away if needed" Rogar adds but otherwise let's get the nine hells out of here! Oh friend he says turning to the azata "Can you help my friend?
The azata casts cure serious wounds on Pelkin.
csw: 3d8 + 6 ⇒ (7, 8, 8) + 6 = 29
Rogar hurries along with the party.
Lamare |
I can cast this spell too. This mission is a failure. unless we know how to disable this IA.
Qilfobber the Risen |
"Gentlemen, I'm protected from whatever fumes that might be produced, so you can retreat to a safe distance while I take a last look around."
That scroll of life bubble sure was a good investment :D
Pelkin Norwind |
Are you sure you'll be safe on your own? I'm not comfortable leaving someone in this place alone.
Professor Trey Hurtubize |
"If ve are to accomplish anything further, ve should move vith purpose." Trey brushes off his coat. "And vhat off Miss Isirah? Surely ve cannot just leaf her here."
Qilfobber the Risen |
"I can handle myself, Pelkin. Now, get to safety!"
I can cast Dimension Door and/or Invisibility if things go south.
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
Between haste and magics, the party heads out of the area basically, off of map area, where you came from, gathering what armfuls of tech they can find, leaving Qilfobber behind to take a more casual examination through the area. The area is saturated in a sickening green gas that swallows the chamber and surrounding rooms as it spreads through the gas synthesis labs. Unfortunately, while its initially a gas, between heat and concentration, the gases begin to condense!
Ie, now it's just acid damage, so life bubble is not kicking in.
Acid damage: 10d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 1, 6, 3, 1, 1, 5, 6) = 30
And as the gnome realizes that the caustic fluid is strong enough to overwhelm his magic, he follows in hasty retreat! For the sake of it, I'll assume there's a plan in place to use DD properly and quickly to escape.
Qilfobber also hears the sound of creaking, dissolving metal as area slowly begins to collapse upon itself, destroying the historical alien technology inside.
You're now in a non-descript metal hallway between the rooms you were currently in as well as the first area you explored inside the ship where you found Isirah.
"Thank the stars for your mah-jeek! Being able to move through walls like that, truly amazing!", the AI program happily conveys to Qilfobber, not showing any sign of loss for the gas labs' destruction.
The area beyond still creaks as explosions can be heard deep inside as you can only imagine what pipes have bust and fires set from the damage caused by the acid flood.
Anything you wish to do before returning to the surface?
Qilfobber the Risen |
@GM: Sounds reasonable, and with resist acid 30, I even escape unharmed.
"That was unfortunate... Well, let's see if we can find anything else of interest."
Are there any doors or hallways we haven't been through yet?
Lamare |
When we will came up, our friend will see our Isarah. What should we do?
Lamare looks also if anybody have been poisonned.
Professor Trey Hurtubize |
"Perhaps ve can hide her amongst out eckstra-dimensional storages, and sneak her out vithout incidence." Trey suggests, cupping his chin in one hand. "Or perhaps ve can convince them off her status as a living being?"
Lamare |
We can at least say to them what is inside and the danger. I am pretty sure that now she wish to destroy Mankind. Saying that she is a evil spirit that use sound, poison and Acid should help them.
Lamare looks around for some camera.
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
There is one place you can explore... made easier since you already took care of the final boss :P
Back at the haunted intersection, there is one more path to go: west.
The party heads down the corridor; the chamber's western end is shattered, revealing a wall of collapsed soil. The earth is loosely packed, and te air circulates gently as if stirred by a light breeze.
Map updated!
Qilfobber the Risen |
Qilfobber takes a look at the room from the safety of the hallway.
Petception: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (16) + 32 = 48
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
Rogar elemental ally travels through the rubble and returns, informing the dwarf that it is surprisingly clear.
Qilfobber notices a slender piece of metal sticking out of the tumbled earth. Examining it, is a wand!
It's a wand of fog cloud!
Isirah chirps up again as Qilfobber looks around. "This was... once crew chambers. Hmm.... wonder if I lived here." Unfortunately, but nothing of interest remains in the room, rust covering much of the metal and everything else shut down and thoroughly inoperable.
Unfortunately, that's it! Anything else you wish to do before you head out of the ruins?
Pelkin Norwind |
If there is nothing left to investigate we should be on our way.
Amarthecthel |
"Only? We've recovered a person more than nine thousand years old. I cannot wait to learn about her and her home."
Yeah, let's bounce!
Qilfobber the Risen |
"Let's leave, then. At least before another bout of deadly gasses hits us..."
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
"It is nice to have someone to talk to!", Isirah smiles from her screen.
The party makes their way topside, were Jala and his fellow Ghost Wolves are waiting for the party with concerned looks on their faces. "What in the totem spirits happened down there? We heard some rumbling and a green gas seeped up top in the hill.", he asks.
Professor Trey Hurtubize |
"Vell, I am unhappily certain that you vill be pleased to hear of ze complexes utter collapse, along vith all attendunt technology." The professor grips his walking cane tightly, obviously disappointed.
Amarthecthel |
Amarthecthel smiles. "You don't care for technology? Well, we just broke a king's ransom's worth of it down there. I think your people will be safe from that complex now."
Lamare |
"Yup. That was a hunted place. " says Lamare. f$#&.... Pollution.... I fear for the next month and could be seen by others.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Pelkin Norwind |
Pelkin simply waits, glad to know that the party was able to make it back to the outside world.
Qilfobber the Risen |
"Ah, yes... Nothing but leaky pipes, crushed machinery and rubble."
Bluff?: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (17) + 25 = 42
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
"Well, we'll still be staying away from this place for a bit while, at least while that gas my be seeping... but I'll take your word that things are clear here. Xol-Namag will be pleased to hear of this, and I'm sure she will see you as a true friend of the tribe for your thorough destruction of the site.", Jala then presenting a box to the party. "As honorary Ghost Wolves, I have been allowed to gift you the following." Inside the box are several mithral shirts, potions of invisiblity, a wand of technomancy, and several other pieces of effective equipment, with a golden-metal greatsword hanging next to it.
"Come, I shall guide you back to the Sellen River so you may return home."
Any last lines for Jala?
And Day Jobs please! Professor, would you please message me your email address so I can send you your chronicle!
Professor Trey Hurtubize |
"Capital, friend Jala, simply capital. I hope ve can be off service to ze Ghost Wolves again some day."
Craft Alchemy Day Job: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (17) + 25 = 42
Amarthecthel |
"The true reward is putting an end to evil, wherever it may rise," says Amarthecthel. "Remember us when some hapless traveler enters into your lands. Treat them well and send them onward in safety. That is what I ask."
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
"Very well, let us hope that our future guests are as lively and interesting as the lot of you!", Jala smiles at Amarthechtel.
Arriving at the Sellen river, a boat is there, awaiting our arrival before departing. "Farewell, friends of the Ghost Wolves!", your new barbarian ally waving to you as the party boards the vessel.
The party returns to Tymon, where Venture-Captain Smine greets you warmly next to his forge. "Aye, Pathfinders! So how was the expedition?"
Just doing some RP to conclude thing; Chronicles should be out by Thursday if I canhelp it.
Lamare |
[B]We have a new field agent! But it seem she is smaller than a halfing.
I suppose we should have tries to trick this big bad and putting our friend inside.[/]
Professor Trey Hurtubize |
"I may need to research a construct vhich could be programmed to facilitate her transportation, however." The professor absently produces a journal and begins making notes, appearing to forget the venture captain is still waiting for reports.
Qilfobber the Risen |
"The limitations put on us by the Ghost Wolves were chafing, but we managed to retrieve the aforementioned thingamajig while staying on good terms with the tribe."
Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |
Smine looks skeptical at first looking at the device until it activates, Isriah's smiling face looking at him. "Ah, another du-warf! I am Isirah Tannis, pleasure to meet you!" The venture-captain jumps back in shock first until his aged, wrinkled eyes looks on with curiosity and interest. "Uh, greetings. And what are you, lass Isirah?"
