The DC to make them friendly is higher than that of the Gargoyle, not impossible though. I'll let everyone make diplomacy checks, and we'll take the highest and consider the rest aid. I won't penalize the bad rolls.
Rah'im |
While in bestial form, a skinwalker takes a –4 penalty on Charisma and Charisma-based checks when interacting with humanoids that lack the shapechanger subtype.... Oh hey, probably not humanoids so I have a 0 instead of a -4.
/Amelia Rose/ |
I have to agree with Kaspar.. thats pretty astounding!!
Amelia looks about the room and is torn.. all life is sacred, even the evil races. But these are orcs!! She steels herself for the inevitable, but gives the conversation a good try..
"We are not crusaders, and we had no knowledge of your presence. I am sure that we can talk this out like civilized people? There is no need to resort to violence!"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
GM Batpony |
I'd like to give my players some info from time to time to help them fill in some gaps. So how it works for diplomacy in this game, you can avoid all combats with diplomacy, starting with a DC20 check, if time you pass the check the next time you want to diplomatically avoid combat the check increases by +5, so to pass the gargoyle it was a 25. Because the main boss is a orc though, they've decided Orc's don't trust adventurers, so it's an additional +5, making this check DC30, which I don't think at this point you guys will pass. So Combat it is!
/Amelia Rose/ |
Yea, I figured it was a lost cause, but Amelia would always give it a go to try and talk her way out first.. I suppose a few ranks in Diplomacy wouldn't hurt... lol
GM Batpony |
The room tenses as the Orc's consider your words, however well you sound though, they decided that you are lying crusaders, the smell from being too long in the crypt must have got to them. One of the orcs, whose body is cloakdd in an aura of flames, looks to be the leader screams at you. "You lie! There never be explorers! You're lying ceusaders! I can smell it." They begin to draw their weapons as they prepare to engage themselves for a fight.
As you glean closer in the room, you noticed that far behind them, a sarcophagus is noticed half open, with a body of a skeleton lying outside it, the skeleton appears to be wearing tien armor, similar to that in the picture found in the tome.
