Inira and Xavian join in the fight, they manage to hit the sandman, however they do little effect to it.

One of the sandman turns into the ground, completely into sand, and moves towards the bigger party. No AoO for Glorin, but AoO for Xavian. But before that AoO everyone who has not yet made the will save against confusion needs to do so now. DC14

The red and green hued sandman attack Glorin and Jian Sheng respectively. Jian Sheng is able to dodge the attack with ease, but Glorin feels a brunt of sand pushing against him and his eyes start to feel a little heavy.

JIan Sheng punches the final sandman into oblivion.

"That took longer than I expected, but I supposed it would do."Claims Iyasset, who maintains a watchful eye the whole time from the skies.

He briefly explains, but does not elaborate, to you what to expect next and waits for you further down. "You land creatures will soon have the pleasure to experience the air like how it is on our native plane."

You don't have to immediately rush to the next area.. but I'm posting the information to help keep things going smoothly. i.e. you may heal prior.

When you reach the mouth of the next area. The roar of swirling winds becomes overwhelming at the entrance to this depression. The ground drops away at the entrance, leaving a sheer 30-foot drop. Debris floats through the air, moving in a never-ending dance conducted by extremely localized winds. Chunks of rock, several of human size or larger, hang in midair, openly defying any laws of gravity. A large, sealed treasure chest floats near the center of the debris. Halfway up the northern wall of the depression lies an opening that leads to a tunnel beyond.

Iyasset makes a high-pitched roaring sound that almost matches the noise of the wind and states, “You must retrieve the chest in order to proceed beyond, but enjoy yourself upon this voyage. In this chamber, we are all of air!” He then flies into the maelstrom. He arcs toward the chest, gesturing at the you meaningfully before continuing through the area. He waits further down once again.

Rules of the area:

We will be moving in Combat rounds.
Where you stand right now is considered 0ft, the floor is at -30ft. There is no ceiling.

You can take two possible actions:
1)If you are on solid ground, you may JUMP
* Jump from rock to rock at same elevation with acrobatics DC19, but no jumping up or down due to funky gravity. I/.e. maintain same elevation.
If you fail the DC, you are randomly thrown into a direction (I'll do that for you)

1)You can attempt to "fly"

* "Fly" North, South, East, West, Down, or Up with two will save DC16, If you successfully make the first will save, you move in the direction of your choice. (You can only move in one direction as specified above) If you fail the first will save, you are randomly thrown into a direction. Up or down is elevation.

If you pass the first will, you must try to stop yourself with another Will, you may stop yourself at any square in the direction you travelled, maximum 60ft. If you fail the second will, you move the full 60ft.

* If you end your motion adjacent to the chest, we can just grab it as a standard action
* If you are just moving past it (At an adjacent 5 ft cube (think 3D!), we need a CMB check DC16 to grab it.

Korez uses his own wand to remove his nonlethal wounds.

clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

The shaman decides to trust in the spirits of the air and attempts to fly towards the treasure!

will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

He sails through the maelstrom, attempting to stop just under the chest.

will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

I would like to go straight to the square labeled A4 from the ledge, which if the treasure is only 5' up from me, would make it diagonally adjacent. Am I seeing this correctly?

"Armor hurtss usss here. Please help me take off." Yliss begins removing his mountain pattern armor.

@GM: Would you allow me to try pushing the chest with a gust of wind? Also, spending one infernal healing wand charge to heal.

Xavian, there is an entrance to the area, I've moved everyone to that part. When it comes to jumping, you are allowed to jump to adjacent rocks so I moved you to the first point.

Yliss, Thematically it makes sense for gust of wind! So I won't disallow it.

Korez, you are absolutely correct! But just remember the chest may move before you have a chance to grab it in your next turn!

The Rogue feeling confident in his jumping skills immediately hops onto the floating rock. The shaman on the other hand, decides to test his ability to fly, and surely enough he seems to be getting the hang of it!

Are we starting right away, or waiting until armor is removed?

You can do whatever you want until you jump into the area. I'll only start treating your round 1 when you jump/fly into the area. You have more than ample time to prep yourself before going in, however you want!

The sandman defeated, Jian Sheng quietly prunes some of the strange flowers for safekeeping and examination later.

After Iyasset explains the next challenge, Jian Sheng hesitantly steps into the room, trusting herself to the winds and attempts to navigate the winds
will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

To her amazement and delight, she is able to control herself (barely) and maneuvers herself next to the chest...

Do I just grab it? Or is a CMB required?

if CMB required:
CMB: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

You can grab it as a standard action. But if you move past it you can CMB to grab it, so by the rules you can CMB in the same turn.

Jian Sheng, similarly brings herself to the same spot as Korez by manoeuvring through the funky gravity. With some good amount of reflexes, she is able to grab the chest before it floats away.

The emissary looks very impressed at the groups ability to manoeuvre through the air.

So.. the other group had a lot of trouble in this area. It took them about 4 rounds before someone got remotely near the chest. But I'll give you the same options I gave the other group for exit. You may make the rolls you require to reach the exit (each failed rolled you take 1 dmg). Or accumulatively you can take 5 dmg and say you've successfully passed this part.

Can I just use my ring of feather falling to 'fall' to the ground and walk to the exit?
