(object reading) Finally he stands and says, "It is called a boro bead. It allows an alchemist to recall an extract drank and reconstitute it."

Looking to the south, he says. "Perhaps we should examine the room to the south before proceeding north?"

The Goblin with the glasses is subdued and bounded for future questioning, but he will unlikely wake up on his own. He is far too injured to recover within the day.

Forgive the lengthy posting and responses to some speculative future happenings. Due to some commitments I am not sure about the consistency of my posts in the next 24 hours or so - in terms of frequency, not the usual uncertainty of consistency of quality :)

Tad's face visible pales, with a faint greenish hue, and his jaw clenches upon Armik's comments on the tail-like growth. "Hnnn," he gives a slightly strangled sound in response. Oh gods, I've got to get rid of this thing!

Standing, he draws a dagger from a belt sheath and, squeezing his eyes tight, he attempts to remove the unwelcome addition to his body. (I realise that from the earlier statement about the remedies this will likely have no effect, but figure he'd be desperate to get rid of it and try this method)

Tad tears a strip of cloth and binds his arm (depending on the outcome, as part of the treatment for the self-inflicted wound or to hide the tail or perhaps both!) before turning his regard back to the group.

He is withdrawn following the (attempted?) surgery and waits on the group to decide their next course of action.

Should they decide to interrogate the goblin, he approaches whoever is going to speak, touches them on the arm, and says, "Find out if there's a cure." Casts guidance (+1 to a roll of your choice)

You may continue to question him if you want. But i'm going to go ahead to open room A5 just to keep the game moving.

As the group awaits for the goblin to come to consciousness, Hironaki leads a few more to take a peek into the room south of the current one. Eventually with Dolvin's help, the poor fool is conscious.

In the other room (A5), smooth work surfaces line the southern wall, and a single door to the west leads to a large room filled with broken, empty boxes that have been smashed to bits. A large stove takes up the eastern half of the room. Cupboards along the walls near the stove have been left open, and scattered cookware and crockery litter the ground. A vaguely sour-smelling, beige puddle covers much of the floor near the stove. The same substance is splattered all over the floors and ceiling of the room, and small footprints are clearly visible on the floor and counters.

Survival DC12:

These are definitely goblin tracks, and the goo is nominally edible, if unappetizing.

Two goblins sit in the corner of the room, they look to be conscious but completely out of it. Their bellies are filled impossibly. They don't pay any attention to you, and make simple grunting noises. "Ughhh"

Heal DC15:

They are stunned from the overbloating from eating, maybe for another 2 hours.

The now conscious intelligent goblin looks shocked in dismay at the Pathfinders. "Did you not hear me speak your mother tongue? What do you take me for? An uneducated uncivilized goblin?"

Armik's hostility provokes the little fella to a point he starts spilling the beans. He maintains the calmest demeanor as possible, exhibiting his civilized manner.

"If you insist. We stumbled upon this place by accident really, we don't truly understand it but we know we're given some form of magic powers. I have been experimenting with the vile of ooze like substance there. It has the most awful and grotesque results at first. But soon I learnt how to harness the power of fleshwarping. We planned to build an army of mutant warriors, world domination being the end goal of course."

He apologies for the unwanted effect on Tad, but does not know of any remedies.

While the others interrogate the surprisingly wel-spoken and eloquent goblin, Hiro moves to the northern door and listens at it, and checks for traps. "Can our friend tell us about the layout of this area? Like, what is past this door?" He asks.

Hiro determines that the door is safe to be opened and continues the exploration. This room looks to be where someone has been residing. The western side of the room is lined with wooden doors fitted with iron bars. Many of the doors are open, revealing bunched up piles of filthy rags heaped in what must have once been cells. A single metal door opens to the east, and another passageway leads south.

There is nothing of real interest in this room as you scour around. However, as you listen carefully, through the metal doors (from room A8), there seems to be more awful screeching singing. Could the room be no longer empty?

Goblin:

As we fled, sure we were dead,
We rolled the boulder before us.

Yes, we rolled the boulder before us.

Then suddenly, as Gugnack sneezed,

Tad continues his silence, following while the southern room is explored and the questioning of the goblin scholar commences. He winces as the goblin reveals that he is unaware of a remedy for the mutation, but gives little else in the way of reaction.

His withdrawal continues a short time after the interrogation concludes. Drawing a deep breath, he exhales sharply, seeming to have reached a decision. "Well, it seems that, although this one may be unusually smart, he has little knowledge of this place," he gives a small wave of his hand to indicate their general location, "or the... substance."

"Let's keep going and see what else we can learn about this place."

Upon hearing the sound of goblins chanting, Tad pauses, listening intently, a wary look on his face.

Unable to understand what the goblins are saying, he hoists his crossbow, raising his eyebrows in query and turns to Dolvin, awaiting the dwarf's recommendation.

Sorry about the extended radio silence, currently in the process of moving house.

Now that you've thought about it... A PC who spends 10 minutes investigating the pits and succeeds at a DC 15 Craft (alchemy), Knowledge (arcana), or Knowledge (engineering) check gains rudimentary insight into the pits’ design and function that she can report back to the Pathfinder Society, such as information on the pipe design and basic facts about the liquid’s composition.

Dolvin happily translates for the group what the goblin "singing" is about. "It seems to be some sort of Goblin tale, about how the they stumbled into this place by chance. Cause of one boulder. And how they are calling it home now."

Hironaki is able to discern a few key components of the liquid goo inside the pits. It is an early form of alchemy, which relies heavily on magic. The concoction seems to be very unstable and requires a lot of refining to get you results that can be predicted.

Rishh moves North into the room with Tad and Armik and opens the door leading east At A10 since he is of no further use to the South....

Rishh and Pig confidently move into the adjacent room. There, in the stadium like training ground, they are met with creatures most foul. More goblins! With two of them being mutated with wings.

It seems that the winged goblins are listening intently to the performance of the singing goblin, but that all comes to an abrupt halt as they noticed Rishh and Pig walk towards the battle arena.

They scream unintelligibly at the pathfinders, and look very hostile. Battle is seemingly unavoidable in the moment.

It is Kn local DC10 to identify each (i.e. two rolls), every +5 you may ask a question regarding the creature.

The horrible songstress resumes her singing, but it's not the familiar tune you heard earlier, this time the song seems to be one of a raging anger. Dolvin exclaims that it is a battle song!

Hearing the sounds of conflict, Hiro dashes into the room, drawing his bow along the way, and positions himself south of Rishh. Drawing back, he fires at the southern flying goblin.

Going to bot the other two since it's been more than 24 hours.

Armik moves to the front lines, casting a spell of protection. Tad attempts to take a shot at the goblin, but the mutation gets the best of him, and distracts his shot. Hironaki, on the other hand, is much more focused and fires a shot accurately pinching one of the goblin's wings. It screams in pain and falls unconscious.

Regarding cover, you need not to make adjustment to your attack roll since it's not a penalty to attack. It is a bonus to defense, so I'll take accountability to remember that.

Rishh throws his hunga munga at the other winged fiend. His shot grazes the goblin enough to hurt it, but not enough to put it unconscious. Dolvin approaches Tad from behind and takes pity on the lad, touching him with a bit of luck.

The winged goblin retaliates and swoops right on Armik, unleashing a fury of claw attacks. Unfortunately, Armik's defences doesn't hold the goblin back and it deals him a world of pain.

The singing goblin moves up the edge to engage pig, she swings a heavy flail at him. Pig finds himself, also, in pain as the flail knocks him right in the stomach. Impressively, she maintains her horrendous singing.

Thanks for the clarification, I did wonder how best to account for it.

Hearing Dolvin's prayer on his behalf, Tad reloads his crossbow and, not wishing to squander the granted blessing, takes aim upon the blue mutated goblin.

"I'll need all the luck you have to give, Lady Dreamer," he murmurs as he pulls the trigger.
