GM BPC |
"I-I-I dunno! I mean, I was just as surprised as you are, honest!", he stutters, sensing Marduk's underlying hostility.
Raevin |
"Let's not going and making accusations without any reason for suspicion... Raimondo's done nothing to cause such suspicions as far as I can tell."
GM BPC |
"Yes, thank you.", the driver feeling more assured as so far, half the party seems to be on his side. "Let's just keep on going, before any more of them decide to try you."
Benson Gangtee |
Benson looks as if he will charge after the fleeing caster, but thinks better of it. "'Tis not sporting to hunt game that is fleeing. I suspect we will meet again. By the way, she had some kind of magical armor protecting her, just so you know. I suspect the lizard was a familiar. Anyone recognize what kind of spell she cast?"
"She was wearing a badge of the Aspis Consortium. She knew we were Pathfinders, perhaps because we are heading toward the ridge using a non-consortium caravan. But it worries me that she knew about the key.
As the group continues the trek, he sheaths his sword and keeps his bow in hand.
GM BPC |
Raimondo, on edge between Marduk watching him and the Aspis, takes the reins again and moves on forward.
In her haste to run, Xeanja happened to drop a single wand.
It's a wand of inflict light wounds with 21 charges remaining.
With that... you guys have completed part 1 of Before the Dawn! Woo! It won't be until tomorrow before I can get Chronicle sheets out, so just for bookkeeping, here's your rewards: 1XP, 2PP, 506gp, and a few interesting loot items. In particular, you can purchase a single dose of greenblood oil, the wand noted above, or a potion of invisibility. You also earned a boon from your time assisting House Cartahegn for 10% off any mundane purchases in Garundi settlements of 5,000 or more! If you wish to purchase any mundane items with that boon, I'll allow it as the next scenario takes place only days after this one... with no real stop in between. In this case, whatever you wanted is assumed to be part of the supplies you ordered.
Heal yourselves up, reset those daily abilities, and prepare for Before the Dawn pt2... Rescue at Azlant Ridge!
Wyeth Riceak |
Wyeth thinks back to her hand movements and what he could hear of her casting.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
"It wasn't any spell I know. Not that that means much," he adds with a chuckle. "And whatever it was, it didn't seem to have any effect."
Raevin |
woot! sounds great - look fwd to part 2
Benson Gangtee |
"Hmm, however with her fled, she's in a position to tell the rest of the Consortium. That might complicate our mission."
"Perhaps, but there was something hinky about that ambush. If the Consortium knew about us and wanted to get the key so badly, it seems odd that they would send a second rate sorcerer or whatever she was plus a few goons. They had some indication of our ability to fight from our exhibition against the summoner and her her eidolon. I suspect she was a small fish who got wind of us and saw it as an opportunity to grab some glory or perhaps she is working at odds with the Consortium and wanted the key for her own ends. I guess we will find out soon enough."
Marduk the Pale |
By the way, we're shipping off some 'undesirable cargo', unless someone knows of a better destination, i'd like to go with the destination opted by the bartender. Ilrissen ^^
I'm positive nobody's been shipping off NPCs before.
Benson Gangtee |
Do we make a Day Job roll?
Benson makes 3rd level with this XP, so I'll be working on the next level. Plan is to focus on fighter levels so he can get to the good Swordlord stuff. I took a level of rogue to round out his skills and give him some extra options in melee with the sneak attack.
He wants to buy the Scabbard of Honing (from the last adventure loot). Not sure if he'll get anything else except maybe a sap.
GM BPC |
Oh yes, please day job! Thanks for reminding me Benson!
I printed Chronicles, just need to finish filling out and scan. Hoping to do that before I leave work (the scanner is better here!)
Raevin |
day job craft alchemy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
woot... can't get better than that! 50gp!
Kerastes |
Tsk, a few days without posting (because of table gaming) and you finish the scenario! Well done guys. Kerastes won't be joining you for part II, I have already played that. I am sure you will have fun, it is one of the most memorable scenario's I have played. BPC: If you haven't played part II I am willing to take over again so you can play Saitama.
Also, wasn't this a gameday III PBP? Then BPC needs to do some boon rolling.
GM BPC |
Ahh yes!
Actually, I have played it, too. I could use a star replay though. Not a bad idea; I like 5 person tables for pre season 4 scenarios. I have GM this before, so if you want the credit Kerastes, I won't mind.
Kerastes |
BPC: your call who will be the GM. I won't use a star replay and also don't mind stepping aside until this one is completed.
GM BPC |
Downside: Saitama is in another PbP! I do have several other appropriate level.
Kerastes |
OK, seems like I will GM this then. Give me a few days to prep, we will likely start on Wednesday.
GM BPC |
D'oh! Forgot Boon rolls!
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Benson: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Kerastes: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Marduk: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Raevin: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Wyeth: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Congrats Benson! I'll PM you later and let you know what boon options you have :)
Raevin |
awww, I missed out on getting a boon ... by one? oh well.. congrats Benson...
GM BPC |
Chronicles have been emailed! Let me know if there is a problem!
I'll probabl be a quiet for a couple of days until I submit my next RPGSS entry.
GM BPC |
@Marduk: It won't until the PbP GD III reporting is done; I submit the info to them, but until they actually go to Paizo and enter the info, it won't appear.
But as always, the Chronicle is the most important thing, Steely Glare Apprentice!
And you're welcome! And thanks for GM G for covering the next round :) We'll go over options again after this, but I have a couple in mind!
