Whoops. Seems I forgot to post. Anyway, yeah, assume Chaise handed it to Spectrum.
Chaise continues past, carefully looking around.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Chaise hears nothing peculiar.
A red marble statue of a strikingly beautiful but, at the same time, monstrously enraged human woman stands in the middle of this room, her stony expression twisted in fury. The woman wears flowing robes, and her long hair is held back from her face by an intricate headdress of hooks and blades. In her left hand she carries a large book, the face of which is inscribed with a seven-pointed star. Her right hand holds a glittering metal and ivory ranseur.
Anyone who wants to identify her, roll K. History. You'd better roll high.
To the east is a long passage heading down; to the north there is a door.

Chaise Zikaldiru |

What about if I take 20? (Lore master 1/d) Also, everyone still about? Not sure if it's alright if I take point, since Wyam or Noro might not be too interested in history or whatever, but they're supposed to be going first.
Knowledge (history): 20 + 11 = 31
Chaise peers at the statue, not going close enough to touch it yet.

Spectrum |

Spectrum moves up beside Chaise, also examining the statue.
Bards can take 20 on Knowledges? That's awesome. I'm going to give Chaise an Aid Another for +2.
Knowledge History: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Chaise Zikaldiru |

Hah, wow, such a huge DC. And if they have Lore Master, they can take 10 for knowledge checks and take 20 a number of times a day. They're very knowledge-y.
"I'm not familiar with it, but it's of Thasillonian make. Spectrum, would you happen to recognize it?"

Spectrum |

"I do not, but I will in time."
Spectrum brings out thin parchment and a small flat glass surface with small pressure clamps and a long tin attached to it. He attaches to paper to the glass so that, with the paper over it, it resembles a frosted-looking window. Then he holds it up, looking through the paper at the statue and opens the tin. It is full of small pots of different colored charcoal.
He concentrates and number of colored dust clouds and a small wooden stylus float out of the tin and begin tracing the statue, slowly recreating every shadow and line onto the page.
Spectrum repeats this from different angles, quickly having an amazingly detailed artistic representation of the statue.
When finished he places another sheet of glass over the first, pinning the parchment between them and clamping them together before putting it into a metal case in his satchel.

Chaise Zikaldiru |

"Ah, of course."
While they're discussing the ranseur, Chaise checks the doorway for traps.
Perception {take 20}: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Spectrum |

Spectrum hands the ornate weapon to Wyam. "In the future, this weapon will be prominently displayed in my museum. Until then, I know you can be trusted to treat it with the care such a relic deserves."

Isme |

I just noticed that I said take 20 but I seem to have rolled the dice and got a 1. HAH.

Chaise Zikaldiru |

"Let's continue on," Chaise says, heading into the doorway once he figures it's untrapped. "We can come back later."

GM Arkwright |

Understood.
Chaise pulls open the heavy wooden door and gazes into what lies beyond. The door opens atop a tall wooden platform ten feet above a low stone floor, the walls studded with cells filled with bones and barred by iron bars. Atop the platform are two wrathspawn similar to that which you encountered before, however these ones are growling at eachother and tearing into their skin, wounds slowly re-knitting leaving them covered with scar tissue. Hearing the door open, they turn as one and stare at Chaise.
COMBAT TIME!

GM Arkwright |

As Spectrum prepares, the Sinspawn turn and run towards Chaise, the one in front letting out an animalistic roar, contorting its face, revealing sharp teeth. It tries to bite into Chaise.
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
The bite connects. Similar to Wyam, Chaise feels a surge of anger, but he is able to throw it off.
Everyone else is up!

Chaise Zikaldiru |

"Should have went East!" Chaise says, withdrawing from the front of the door.
Withdraw as full action to the nearest available space at the back of the party.

Wyam Marshaal |

"Chaise!" Wyam shouts at seeing the other man attacked so suddenly. Seeing that they were content to charge forward, Wyam acted by stepping to the side - opening a pocket into which they could attack that would open them to attacks by Noro, Spectrum, and himself while only one of the could attack them at any one time.

Spectrum |

Spectrum's blade charged with energy and he waited.
Readied Action: Spellstrike- Shocking Grasp, attacking the first enemy who reaches me.

Noro moves up to the first creature hoping to bottle the second in the back preventing it from flanking.
Not quite angry enough yet she simply walks up and lays into it with an uppercut.
attack - unarmed strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
crit confirm roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
damage: 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
crit additional damge: 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Spectrum |

I did. That was a readied attack to hit the first one that came close. As far as I understood, Wyam's last post was a tactical analysis (and a good one) that indicated he was going to wait for them to approach us. I assumed it was easy to tell his intent and had Spectrum follow suit.

Spectrum |

Actually, it isn't up to me. It's a readied action. If the enemy enters my threat range, it triggers and I hit them before they do anything else. If they don't, I lose the action. It's a gamble. I'm betting they're going to attack us and get close enough that I can hit them in the face when they run up to me.
So I've stated 'If they do that, I do this.' It's up to you if they do that.

Spectrum |

oh well. Waste of true strike, but shocking grasp is still charged.
The only sign of Spectrum's annoyance was a pursing of his lips. Inwardly, his wordless frustration was blaring.
Holding the electrical charge as a cracking coil around his hand, he sheathed his sword and drew his bow from it's case on his back.
Notching an arrow, he fired at the rear Wrathspawn.
Attack, cover: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 4 = 16
