The Morlagrammaw is a morlamaw, and just wants everyone to play nice with each other. Other than than, the only unusual things I can think of are more of meta things, in that I GM'd this special at this tier at Origins, and that this will be my first PbP experience.

Character name: Twitch
PFS#-character number: 20941-701

PFS#-character number: 105807-702
Faction: Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo)
Starting EXP: 3
Starting Fame: 5

Ceolor needs a day to do his level up! But he's a more ranged focused solarion with some good social skills on the side.
Also for the first week or so, I will not be near my computer, though I should have stable wi-fi access and a phone with which to post, but if Ceolor hasn't yet acted, feel free to bot him! I'd actually rather login to find someone moved him for me, than find the game is on hold for Ceolor!
Ceolor Xusha
|
Okay Ceolor is ready! If the adventurer's armory gets approved for SFS use before the game starts, Ceolor might be selling and buying some weapons, but otherwise, he's ready.

Hi all,
Seems everyone who should be at the table (according to the sign-up sheet) is here and checked in.
We'll be starting in 5 days so feel free to make an introductory post in gameplay so other people know what you look like.
You can assume that you were all summoned to a large gathering with lots and lots of different Starfinders and your party just happens to be the people closest to you.
And since this scenario does have a starship tag maybe get started on what roles everyone wants (or can) fill aboard a starship so it won't take up extra time during this (time sensitive) special.

And since this scenario does have a starship tag maybe get started on what roles everyone wants (or can) fill aboard a starship so it won't take up extra time during this (time sensitive) special.
Vchk is best-suited to be a gunner (BAB + Dex = +4), but in desperate circumstances he could fulfill the role of pilot (Piloting = +3) or captain (Diplomacy = +1). He is not trained in Computers or Engineering.
Looking forward to experiencing this special!
Hido
|
Hido can do engineering or science officer and possibly captain in a pinch (+9, +10 and +4 respectively)
He also has the Solar Power Weapon boom for the starship, basically gives a laser a +1 dam or +4 for a round for a resolve.
Ceolor Xusha
|
Welcome Revvy!
Ceolor can shoot a bit and secondary captain if needed! He's not massively skilled in either though, so he should probably take over the less important gun!
Vchk
|
In that case, Vchk is going to pick up the infrared sensors armor upgrade and a pair of mk 1 serums of healing.
Vandor Draak
|
Vandor will make the following purchases, and sell his old armor:
- 2 Shock grenades I (260 credits)
- 2 Smoke grenades (80 credits)
- Freebooter armor I (750 credits)
- Hacking kit (20 credits)
- 2 mk 1 serums of healing (100 credits)
TOTAL: 1210 credits
- Selling Second Skin armor (25 credits)
NEW TOTAL: 1185
Hido
|
Did some shopping too.
Couple frags, couple serum, spare std battery. 230 credits
Boons:
Faction Dataphiles
Starship: Solar Weapons (if anyone doesn't have a better one, and if our ship has a laser)
Revvy Bitterleaf
|
@Hido; I'm not sure what you mean with if anyone doesn't have a better one but everyone can have their own Starship boon and you can even have multiple solar weapons I think..just not on the same weapon.
And if your ship would have a laser; Unless there is a special ship provided by the scenario (I haven't seen that happen outside of an Adventure Path or a player has a boon that offers a custom ship) you have the choice out of either the Drake or the Pegasus (both in the Players guide, but) for reference:
DRAKE TIER 2
STARFINDER SOCIETY DRAKE TIER 2
Medium transport
Speed 8; Maneuverability average (turn 2); Drift 1
AC 12; TL 12
HP 70; DT —; CT 14
Shields light 50 (forward 15, port 10, starboard 10, aft 15)
Attack (Forward) coilgun (4d4)
Attack (Aft) gyrolaser (1d8)
Attack (Turret) high explosive missile launcher (4d8)
Power Core Arcus Heavy (130 PCU); Drift Engine Signal Basic;
Systems budget medium-range sensors, crew quarters
(good), mk 1 trinode computer, mk 2 armor, mk 2 defenses;
Expansion Bays cargo hold, escape pods
Modifiers +1 to any three checks per round;
Complement 4–7
PEGASUS TIER 2
STARFINDER SOCIETY PEGASUS TIER 2
Medium explorer
Speed 10; Maneuverability good (turn 1); Drift 1
AC 12; TL 12
HP 55; DT —; CT 11
Shields basic 40 (forward 10, port 10, starboard 10, aft 10)
Attack (Forward) light laser cannon (2d4)
Attack (Port) light laser cannon (2d4)
Attack (Starboard) light laser cannon (2d4)
Attack (Turret) coilgun (4d4)
Power Core Pulse Green (150 PCU); Drift Engine Signal Basic;
Systems basic medium-range sensors, crew quarters
(good), mk 1 duonode computer, mk 2 armor, mk 2 defenses;
Expansion Bays cargo hold, escape pods, science lab,
tech workshop
Modifiers +1 to any two checks per round, +2
Computers, +1 Piloting; Complement 4–7
So the Drake at your tier has 1 laser weapon (at it's Aft)
While the pegasus has 3 laser weapons

This is my second ever scenario (well, the first time one of my characters has reached their second scenario), so please let me know if I'm doing this whole boons things incorrectly.
Exo-Guardians Champion (faction)
Starfinder Insignia (slotless)
Starfinder Society Care Package (slotless; limited use)

I do have the Hero of the Stars boon - I just reread it and discovered it only gets crossed off if we need to use it. I think it would be prudent to activate that one as well.
Thanks for catching that, GM.

@Vchk; I just noticed that you have the bodyguard feat. This feat uses your reaction to give an adjacent ally a +2 bonus to AC while you take a -2 penalty yourself.
Since due to the nature of pbp reactions tend to work a bit...let's call it strange at times. How do you want to handle your use of it?
I can't declare an attack and ask if you want to use your reaction each time and wait for your response because it could possibly add days to each round of combat.
If you use it after the fact when I've made all my attack rolls you can pick which attack it would be most effective against - which is a bit better in pbp then the feat should be I think.
How do you feel about automatically using it against the first attack vs an adjacent ally each round? Maybe with the extra factor that you won't use it as soon as you take (hp?) damage yourself? Since you might not want to lower your own AC as soon as you get damaged.
Otherwise you could post each combat round you do something if you want to use bodyguard on an attack vs <insert ally name here> if it occurs?
Vchk
|
In my last game I handled it the second way, explicitly stating that I will use my reaction to protect <adjacent ally> if applicable. That way, the onus is on me to use it, and I can decide to keep my reaction open for an attack of opportunity instead if I wish.
I think it worked decently, and I'm willing to run it that way as long as it's convenient for you, GM.

It's a little difficult to get aid another checks in in time for PbP so I was thinking, and I don't know if this is maybe min/maxing a bit to much, but just to speed things up I'm going to roll a bunch of aid another checks in advance for various skills. As long as it's all right with you Revvy, players could use them when they make their primary checks? If not, just ignore this.
AID ANOTHER CHECKS:
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Athletics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 SUCCESS
Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 SUCCESS
Computers: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Culture: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 SUCCESS
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 SUCCESS
Engineering: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 SUCCESS
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 SUCCESS
Physical Science: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Piloting: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 SUCCESS
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
So like I said, this is just so long as it works for you Revvy.

I'm used to people deciding who's going to be primary and who will try to assist by just stating before hand that the person with the highest bonus to the skill will be the primary and everyone else rolling will be assisting.
This is a tad much die rolling all at once, but the end result should pretty much be the same so I'm fine with it since you'll only be doing assists
Since there are only 6 rolls that can possibly made you could also just roll 6 D20's and we'd fit in the skill with relevant bonus at the appropriate time.

I know Twitch hasn't posted since July but he's showing up in the active players tab so I think he should be aware that we've started.
I've send an PM just in case.
Ceolor has posted last Friday so I'm assuming he's also aware that we've started (and is also showing up in the active players tab).
If neither of them has responded by the time we're actually going to start with doing combat you guys will be down to 3 players and I'll sub in a pregen to compensate.
Hido

If we dont hear from twitch you can just sub my aids for primaries, the only rolls I would have chosen Computers over Engineer were decent enough anyway.

Glad to see you Twitch, and not just because you just reminded me that I forgot to slot boon, but also because your very high Engineering bonus is likely about to be very useful.
--------------------
Boons Slotted this Adventure
--------------------
Ally:
Faction: Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) Champion
Personal:
Promotional:
Social: Faction's Friend
Starship:
Slotless:
AbadarCorp Acquaintance (Respect) (Social Boon):
During a hunt for a renegade Starfinder on Akiton, Vandor interacted with a representative of AbadarCorp. Due to this interaction, he has earned the respect of the Pact World corporation.
Augmented Affiliation (Social Boon; Limited Use):
When Vandor has this boon slotted, he gains a +2 insight bonus on all skill checks made to influence members of the Augmented (Starfinder Core Rulebook 475). He also treats the item level of all augmentations as 1 lower for the purposes of availability. In addition, you can cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet to reduce the credits cost of one augmentation by 10%.
Faction’s Friend (Social Boon; Limited Use):
[ ] [ ] [ ]
By assisting various factions of the Starfinder Society, Vandor has proven himself as a dependable asset. By slotting this boon, if he would fail to earn Fame at the end of an adventure by failing to fulfill a success condition, he can check one of the boxes on this boon. Doing so reminds his current championed faction of his past exploits, and he still earns 1 Reputation (but no Fame) with that faction as if he had successfully fulfilled the condition. He can use this boon only if he would also gain at least 1 XP for completing the adventure.
Honorbound Allies (Ally or Starship Boon):
During his mission to salvage information from the Struggle’s Scholar, Vandor engaged in an honorable starship duel with a vesk transport, the Honorbound. By following the strictures of the duel, he impressed the captain of the Honorbound, Captain Yuluzak. This boon might have repercussions in future scenarios, which you will be told prior to slotting your boons. Future scenarios calling on this boon will specify if you must slot it as an Ally or Starship boon.
Marked Field Agent (Slotless Boon):
Having met the amalgam of intelligences known as Guidance, Vandor has successfully completed his induction into the Starfinder Society. The Society offered him a subdermal implant as part of his commencement. He received this augmentation for free. (see Society Subdermal Graft augmentation above)
Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) Champion (Faction Boon)
This Faction boon allows Vandor to gain Reputation with the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction. At the end of a successfully completed scenario, in which Vandor has this boon slotted, he gains Reputation as detailed in the primary and secondary success conditions of that scenario.
Starfinder Society Care Package (Tattoo of the Starfinder) (Slotless Boon; Limited Use)
[ ]
Vandor has a magical tattoo, commemorating his induction into the Starfinder Society. As an immediate action when he is struck by a critical hit or dealt at least 15 points of damage from a spell or supernatural ability, he can check the box that precedes this boon and expend the tattoo’s magic to gain 10 temporary Hit Points that last for 1 minute. He also regains 1 previously expended Resolve Point when using this boon.
True Savior of Tasch (Slotless Boon; Limited Use):
[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
Vandor helped ensure a measure of prosperity for the Akitonian town of Tasch by enticing AbadarCorp to set up a shipping outpost in the town. He can forgo making a day job roll to instead devote time to assist with the growth of Tasch. Any time he opts to do so, check a box on this boon and make a note on the Chronicle sheet associated with that scenario, indicating he partook in this endeavor. Once all five boxes on this boon are marked, he receives 500 UPBs as recompense from the people of Tasch for helping to develop their now-thriving town. These UPBs cannot be converted to credits and must be used to craft some form of equipment.

Radaszam thanks the you for your help. Once during the adventure, each PC can requisition a weapon with an item level up to the PC’s level +1 for the duration of one mission.
Just so I understand - there are five missions, and this reward can be used during just one of them (on a PC by PC basis), yes?
Just to check, everyone is able to access and see the map link at the top the page right?
Yup!
Revvy Bitterleaf
|
@Vchk; There are 5 possible mission to choose from right now. (There's a time frame and a goal and all tables are working towards that which might reduce your current options and open up new ones later)
And you can ... let's call it "activate" the reward before starting one of the missions for the entire group so everyone picks a weapon and an consumable item to use during that mission (and give it back afterwards - if not used up)
