Isabella Deschain |

Silent through Zedekial's goading & subsequent beating, Isabella nods as Lukasz explains his plan.
"Excellent. Although, given our current timetable, we may need to actually set ourselves up outside the cell and draw the guards to us. The best time to move is still as close to the start of their shift change as we can safely get. If we can take care of those two guards in here quietly, we should have a bit of time before the others question their absence, having just changed posts."
She turns to Zedekial, frowning. "Giving us plenty of time to check out your heavy-breathing friend. Without drawing more attention to ourselves and informing the guards we know there are other prisoners here." She shakes her head slowly, "I swear that guard either hit you too hard, or not hard enough. From this moment on, with the exception of our gambit during the next changing of the guard, we want absolutely no attention from any of the guards here."
Bleepos, you need to make a disable device check with the thieves tools to unlock your other manacle.

Bleepos Droppo |

Disable Device (MW TT): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Bleepos will insist, if needed.
Disable Device (MW TT): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29

Isabella Deschain |

Watching Bleepos' frantic attempts to catch anything scurrying past, Isabella recalls both goblins' cries for food over the past couple days. Leaning forward, she watches as Bleepos finishes freeing himself, and looks both goblins over closely.
Heal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Determining Leekoo & Bleepos' overall condition, given their lack of food & evident hunger.
"I am one of the finest smiths in the realm. If all they are willing to pay for is work of low quality why should I give them my best for a pittance?"
Turning to Dexter, she nods once. "Then I hope we soon have the opportunity to show these stingy Talingardian officials the true quality of your work, that they may beg you to take the gold they were too greedy to pay in the first place."
She sits back as comfortably as she can, head against the stone, eyes closed, and waits for the small pirate to free them.

Korak The Boisterous |

Despite the food he's been able to catch you know it's not really enough and that within hours they're both going be having a very bad time.

![]() |

Leekoo hungrily gobbled down the rat, slurping the tendons and crunching the cartilage. When all the meat was done, he snapped the bones in half and sucked out the marrow. "Leekoo Weekoo eats the rat. Leekoo Weekoo slurps the fat. Leekoo Weekoo drinks the juice. Leekoo Weekoo needs the boost," Leekoo said in thanks to his fellow goblin.
Leekoo looked at the female long legs in confusion as she studied him, his head tilted to the side. "Leekoo Weekoo sees long legs. Leekoo Weekoo dressed in dregs. Leekoo Weekoo tries to hear. Leekoo Weekoo has no fear."
Translation: Leekoo sees the woman looking at him and is wondering what she wants.

Korak The Boisterous |

Zoop. You again catch the shift change but a difference has happened. The guards leave before the new ones have come.

Isabella Deschain |

After taking a moment to puzzle out the goblin's rhyming speech, Isabella smiles softly at Leekoo. "I'm only worried because the stvarno loše kune guards didn't feed poor Leekoo or Bleepos; we need to keep up your strength to pay the bastards back." She glances around at the others. "I'm afraid we don't have much time before their recent malnutrition starts to show in more ways than crying goblins and messy rat-snacks."
Are we all freed from the shackles, or do we need to roleplay/roll for that yet?
Pausing, Isabella turns her attention to the hall outside their cell.
"Speaking of the šupak guards, it seems our previous wards left their post without waiting for the proper relief. This could be our golden opportunity..."

![]() |

Leekoo nods emphatically at the thought of more food. His poor tummy still feels empty, though it reminds him of when he was just a little goblin fighting to survive until taken from his cage. Other little goblins were so tasty...
Shaking his head to get rid of that delicious thought, Leekoo replied, "Leekoo Weekoo needs more food. Leekoo Weekoo not so good." As he sat and looked around, trying to see if he could find any more tasty bugs, he realized that, yes, there were no guards. The female long legs was right! "Leekoo Weekoo leave the cage. Leekoo Weekoo is of age. Leekoo Weekoo will get free. Leekoo Weekoo needs to pee..." With that, a slow steady trickle of a yellowish fluid slides down his leg...

Lukasz Alazario |

Lukasz nodded his head in agreement at Isabella's words, glad to have something to focus his mind on besides the sight of goblins devouring rats. "Yes, it will be easier to distribute the items once I am free."

Bleepos Droppo |

Bleepos sneaks as much as he can, trying to move in silence.
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 Dayum!
He then proceeds to free each one of his companions with the masterwork thieves' tools.
Shhhh! - he whispers to each one of the members of the party - Be silent!
Do I have to roll all disable devices separately? Or can we assume he moves carefully and delicately gets out, one by one?
To Isabella, Dexter and Zedekiel, he points his hurt fingers and makes a face as he's about to cry of pain. He's clearly exaggerating.
To Lukasz, he points at the veil and at his belly, then whispers.
Once we get all toys out of mancloth, can Bleepos eat it? Bleepos is still very hungry!

Bleepos Droppo |

Assuming I have a Disable Device of +8 +4 (MW TT) +2 (bonus from GM)
Isabella: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Dexter: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Lukasz: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Leekoo: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

Korak The Boisterous |

Well you are now all free of your chains and locked in a cell, goodbye + 2. what do you do now?

Bleepos Droppo |

Can I try to open the cell door with Disable Device and the tools as well, so we can then sneak for the guards' room to take care of the "warning drummer" first and gut everybody?
Disable Device: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

Korak The Boisterous |

You mean one of the two guards who left early? Or the signal horn? you've opened the cage.

Bleepos Droppo |

I meant to go for the horn before it's honked. I will let the rest of the party come with their two cents now. Bleepos will proceed to silently move towards the guard room (assuming the party is coming with me) to surprise them and get rid of the horn guy first and quickly
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23

Dexter Quigley |

Dexter stands to his full height of 6'6" cracks his neck, flexes his fingers and grabs the dagger from Lukasz, "Tis time to feed the Goblins I think".
He steps out from the cell and swiftly moves to position himself behind the door to the guard room (assuming it swings in).
Stealth 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
He then peers around the room to get bearings of what else is there.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Korak The Boisterous |

You all do get they left the cell block altogether right? They're not around. They skipped out on their last few minutes of shift.

Isabella Deschain |

Lithely slipping from her shackles, Isabella pats Bleepos on the head as he moves past her to free the next prisoner. She takes a moment to stretch her slender, well-toned frame, looking not unlike a cat rising for an evening prowl.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
She retrieves the other dagger, with a nod and a crooked smile for Lukasz, before following Dexter, moving into the corner on the other side of the door. She pauses, listening intently, before whispering,
"Are we going to try to lure them in here, then?"
"Shall we check on the other guest Zedekial heard here, or wait for the guard shift that's apparently coming in late?"
She stares intently across the doorway at Dexter, poised, ready to strike should the door open unexpectedly.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
What's the lighting like? How many other doors are there in the hall? Are there any other obvious cells? Are they clearly occupied? Are there any other things in the hall? With my 12 perception...

Zedekiel |

Zedekiel merely smiled at Isabella's retort at his attempt to strike up a friendly jail conversation with whomever shared their jail with them. She had a point, but he'd rather not surprise the jails' other guests. Last thing they needed was a potential problem.
He continued to sit and listen to the goings on outside their cell, relaxing and biding his time, recovering from the beating he took.
How many hours passed? Need to know how much nonlethal I've got still...
When the time came, there was something... Different. The guards skipped out early... His eyes narrowed... They can't have let their guard down that much...
When he was free, his arms fell limp and lifeless to his sides. A vile smile crept its way slowly onto his thin lips. He stood slowly, his body rolling, in a fashion, to his full 6'6" height. His head remained leaning back and to the side as the smile widened into a full grin.
"It is time... To show these pitiful weaklings of Mitra what real mercy is..." As his head rolled into a typical upright position while he spoke.
Long, slender digits flexed with anticipation as he made his way out of the cell. But first... Zedekiel would glance up and down the row of cells... Then proceeded to make his way down the hall, looking in each cell as quietly as he could, in attempt to find that potential ally.
stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Now that's more like it...

Korak The Boisterous |

What did you do to leekoo you bastard! The cells are arranged around an L like path, Zedekiel sees an ogre in one of the cells.

Zedekiel |

I made him go Fwoosh. It was quite delicious. Don't worry, he got better :p.
Zedekiel's eyes widen slightly when he sees the ogre. He was expecting an orc... What the hell is an ogre doing here? He must have done something pretty vile to wind up in prison instead of on a knight's spear....
He smriked a bit, and placed a hand on his hip, just out of arms reach from the cage. "Hail and well met! How would you like to squish the people who put you in the cage? I could use some help in twisting off their limbs one by one and shoving them down their throats. Answer me quietly, I'd like to make it a surprise for the captain here..." He pointed back down the hall
I'm offering a break out, do I need to even roll Diplo for this?

![]() |

The moment Leekoo was free, he immediately pounced on a particularly juicy cockroach he'd been eyeing that was just out of his shackled reach. Biting down hungrily - 'Slimey yet satisfying.' - he was quick to swallow all he could before following everybody else's example and sneaking out of the cell.
Sneak: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 Yeah, I don't think anybody noticed Leekoo leave the cell }:->
Popping up next to the female long legs, Leekoo whispered, "Leekoo Weekoo out of cell. Leekoo Weekoo cause some hell?"

Lukasz Alazario |

Rubbing his riss as the shackled came free with Bleepos' help, Morgan says, "Yes, we can work to find some food for you, so long as you keep that noxious breath away from me." As the others sprang into action, he uses his increased maneuverability to pull the pouch from the veil and investigate its contents. He does this as he moves to the door, keeping an eye on the guard room as Zedekiel talks with the ogre in the other cell.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Korak The Boisterous |

Little 'un talks big, he grunts out in a pained and slurring voice.
Luckasz doesn't notice anything.

Isabella Deschain |

Wait.. something happened with Leekoo? And there's nothing in the pouch Lukasz pulled out of the veil?
Suppressing a startled jump at the goblin's sudden appearance, Isabella rolls the dagger over in her hands and holds a single finger up to her lips, signalling the need for continued quiet.
"Very soon, Leekoo. We still need to be careful not to raise the alarm, or the guards will put us back in the cell. But hopefully we'll be able to pay the guards back and get you some food at the same time soon." She gives the goblin a wicked smile.
Turning at the sound of the ogre's voice, Isabella's eyebrows raise when she sees the large creature.
"I suggest we wait for the next guard shift to arrive and deal with them quietly, before we let that big fella out and move on... if we let the big fella out.."
She shakes her head, the thought of becoming an angry ogre snack today just as appealing as facing the headsman tomorrow.

Korak The Boisterous |

We refer to when I said Leekoo when he asked who he had to sacrifice. Also sorry, my brain skipped the sack.
The pouch is not actually a pouch but a sack holding basic spell components and common clothes for all of you. The coins are 100 pieces of gold the rope is hempen and the lantern is a hooded bullseye lantern filled with oil and shuttered. The potion is labled as a healing potion, and there's a silver unholy symbol of Asmodeus. Did you take the window out too?

Zedekiel |

Zedekiel nodded twice at the ogre's words. He noticed the pained voice plainly, and decided to give him a quick appraisal. "So I do, so I do..."
Heal check to get a feel for Mr. Ogre's health.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
While he was looking him over with a physician's eye, he decided that it might be better to speak more... Plainly.
"Would you like to hurt the people who hurt you and put you in here? I can make that happen."

Lukasz Alazario |

Keeping the window patch on the veil, he quickly passes out the clothing in the sack and gives the healing potion to either Dexter or Isabella as they are the ones to see the brunt of combat until the group could get more weapons. He puts the silver symbol around his neck, tucking it underneath his clothing to keep it out of sight for now. It was heavier than the broach he use to have, but strangely comfortable around his neck. After that, he goes back to keeping watch while Zedekiel continues talking with the ogre. He felt as though they would need to hurry however, before the window of opportunity disappeared.

Korak The Boisterous |

He could definitely use healing, he'd be little more than a hindrance without it. Yes.
Lukasz hears steps.

![]() |

Leekoo bounces back and forth - quietly, of course - in anticipation. Soon they would have a really long legs helping them, and they would get revenge, and he might possibly make a big boom! Today would be a good day as far as he was concerned.

Zedekiel |

Zedekiel grinned. "So be it. You have to be quiet until I tell you, otherwise they'll hurt you even worse and cage you again, alright?" As soon as the ogre agreed to his terms, he snapped a finger for attention as he turned to his comrades.
"If anyone can think of a way to fix him up, he'll be of use to us in the escape. In any case, Bleepos, unlock our new friend would you?"
Perhaps the healing pot, since we now have a meat shield, unless Lukasz has a curative prepared as an adept?
Then, he thought it better to keep the ogre as a potential ally throughout most of the prison break, in case his plan of getting the ogre to distract the guards in another direction while they snuck out failed. "What is your name strong one?" After he recieved the ogre's name, he smiled in as friendly a way possible. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Help my friends and I get out of here, and I'll personally guarantee you a spot in our group."
Diplomacy roll?

Bleepos Droppo |

Bleepos prepares himself to charge as soon as he sees the horn and bite it. The goblin had been dreaming about the juice hard leather of the warning instrument, its intricate mechanisms being well chewed like a bag of rat bones, and the small metal parts a little oxidated and salty. Hmm, he can almost feel it already. No one is calling reinforcements.

Bleepos Droppo |

Init: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Korak, I don't mind if you roll my initiative for me to speed things up, my friend. In fact, if the party is okay with it, maybe in the future you could roll all of us directly ;) just my two cents.

![]() |

I'm fine with that, a few of the other games I'm in has the GM roll initiative for us.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Leekoo stares manically at the guard that just entered, but a slight hint off sanity somehow got lodged into his head. He had no weapons, what was he to do?! So he moved under a table and hunkered down.
Total Defense action after hiding under a table for Cover. Total of +8 to AC. Well, assuming that there is a table to hide under. If not, then it's just the Total Defense action for a +4 Dodge to AC.

Zedekiel |

Indeed, I'm fine for my initiative being rolled for me as well
Zedekiel's smile fell when the guards entered. He ran his hand over his face with a sigh. "Sit tight Grumblejack, I'll be right back."
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Is there anything around that I might be able to pick up and throw at them on my turn? Or something I can pick up and use as an improvised weapon?

Korak The Boisterous |

Leekoo. Man he's officially my whipping boy for this isn't he. Probably because his name rolls off the tongue.

Isabella Deschain |

Korak rolling initiative works for me; it's probably easier to set our posting order & whatnot then too.
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Surprise Round:
Taking just a moment to look the guards over as they step through the doorway, Isabella lunges at the horn-bearer, dagger sweeping low in a quick slash at the back of the guard's knee.
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
She grins as she sees the small blade come away red. "Leekoo bite him if you can!" She calls softly to the goblin, knowing that failure here would leave them no more chances for escape, and the longer the guards remained standing the worse their odds became.

Korak The Boisterous |

Initiative still matters in the surprise round Isabella, Just not to the people who are surprised.

Dexter Quigley |

Surprise Round
Initiative 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Dexter strikes the same target as Isabella, the horn bearer.
Dagger Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
I assume whoever goes second gets a +2:flanking bonus
Dagger Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
