Korrum's gaze begins to turn to the furred speaker when an unsettling whisper reaches his ear.

"vengeance..."

The disembodied whisper sets Korrum's hair on end, and all thoughts of food vanish in an instant. In one swift motion, he whirls, leaps from his seat, snatches the spear leaning against the bar, and braces himself, eyes darting to the source of the sound as best he can figure; a low, rumbling growl issues from his throat.

Who, if anyone, would be good at putting out the fire/organizing the staff to put out the fire?

I'm going to accept all nine remaining characters into one giant party, but if there's attrition, I won't be replacing immediately. I'll start up the play thread once we know about Daisy one way or the other (or Jan 1).

No offense to any other applicants or you, DM Wrong, but if you intend to make the party that large then I will bow out. I've seen PbP's try to get parties that large moving and I just don't care to try that again.

I can't help but notice that I'm not on that list! Am I out?

I hope Daisy spots this before she runs out of time. I was enjoying her character. If I the group was to be split into 2 I'd vote to be in the group with Daisy, Shinrin, Korrum, and Delara. We seem to have formed a natural, balanced group and we all posted regularly

As a regular poster with slight connections to various characters (conversations with Korrum, Shinrin, Ashtari, Thorgrund) I have no preference as to group. Though I'm sad to see Ashtari go...

The group Samwise posted looks good and somewhat balanced. Would the second group also be balanced? Two groups can be interesting with the actions of one affecting the other - not necessarily affecting them immediately but at some point in the future. One large group can work as well, under certain conditions.

When we first started phase 2 and all the female characters posted first (I know Shin's was ooc and Thorgrund posted in character before she did, but still), I thought it would be funny to have an all female party and an all male party, maybe in competition. But I guess now that Tamis and Ashtari are bowing out, that wouldn't really be feasible . . . Oh well.

Let's get this party started! Delara is going to be so relieved if it's just a bunch of goblins :)

I am not quite bowing out yet, simply stating that if we decide to have one huge party then I will bow out. Apologies for the miscommunication.

My posting frequency should increase now that the holidays are mostly over. I'm OK with splitting the group, but if the DM feels he can run a larger party, I can go along too.

There's been enough character development that I think I'd enjoy whichever party emerges, be it 9 or 4. 9-man party gonna have some hefty encounter maps, though...

not yet, not that I know of. Think we've hit a lull is all, new years festivities still probably winding down for some people.

When are we planning on getting started? The lack of GM interaction on this thread since we started RP is beginning to worry me...

Sorry about the lull, folks! I was caught in the travel snarl through the weekend. I was going from airport to airport looking for a way home. Well, I'm back, and I'll get things caught up and started.

Yikes. Closest I came to that was having to detour on my greyhound route cross-country once. Nerve-wracking as hell so I feel for ya. but yeah, let's do this RAWR.

So is that just the four of us then? Shall we continue with just us four? Delara? Perhaps if we start in on the action, others will be inspired to post.

I'll be the last one posting until I'm sure everyone's given up and gone away. If we're still doing this, I think we're waiting on GM to describe the results of initiative and what's actually happening.
