You all turn to the direction Keita is pointing and you note that the thing on the horizon is moving fast. You estimate it will be at your position in minutes. Is it friend or foe? The Many-Eyed did not mention any friends coming to welcome you upon your arrival. But she did mention your rival had probably wormed his way into the high echelons of power within the hive. Could this be him and his minions? You are not certain. Do you stand and wait for the newcomer to decide your fate? Or do something else?

The chronometers inside your chests beep to remind you that you only have eight days left before the big event.

Whoever it is, they are travelling fast. We can take cover around the drop pod, then take whatever vehicle they are using to get to the hive faster. Otherwise it will be a long walk, and the clock is ticking.

"I would prefer better cover, but if nothing else..." Xaman looks around the area swiftly to try to find good cover or a place to set an ambush.

The sudden noise of others, alarming of possible enemies approaching, was mostly ignored by Rhud has he focused on his own things as he went through litanies of binary codes to check the status of his machine spirits conditions. Equipping his las rifle and moving a bit around to see if he could hide somewhere before being spotted and prepare his aim towards approachers.

Belros moves to take cover behind the drop pod with his bolter aimed at his welcoming party.

Andronical replaces the helmet on his head and seals it. Looking over his shoulder as he places the helmet on his head, he can see the left-most tine of his trophy rack. The one that holds the pierced helmet of the hated Ultramarines. The two center tines hold the held of an Eldar, and an Ork. The last, right-most spike, has the desiccated remains of a human head. Amid the hiss of his armor sealing itself he checks the biomonitor for operational awareness (Blood pressure increasing slightly, nothing to worry about...) and draws his power sword. There is a distinct basso hum coming from the sword as it powers up...

Andronical takes two steps from the drop pod (no more) and waits for the vehicle to approach.

Keita takes a moment to pull a bandolier of grenades from her crates, then takes a position just inside the door of the drop pod, observing the approach of the 'visitor' through the sights of her lasgun.

If he sees nothing better, Xaman opens his crate, takes the bandolier of grenades, and takes cover, his cannon at the ready.

Andronical swings the power sword around in a windmill arc, more to stretch his muscle than to display any facility with the blade; then scans the horizon for the approaching vehicle

A truck full of PDF troopers has arrived to investigate. The lasgun-armed troopers file out of the truck -- several squads you think. Their commander -- a commissar in a heavy trenchcoat -- directs them to the drop pod.

Can you all roll concealment?

I'd love to, but I did make it a point to stand away from the drop pod. I'm a bold (read= stupid) mofo! LOL. Judging by the way rolls are going, concealment might be out of the question!

As the truck approaches, Keita twitches her cloak around herself, the settles in .

Keita smiles a little at the commissar's reaction , understandable as it is. She reaches down and activates her conversion field, it's protective barrier surrounding her with a low ,comforting hum.

She settles a bit, leaning into her las, keeping the commissar in her sights, waiting for the right moment....
