Background
I remember the crusades. I was just an initiate during the Preaixor Campaign. I was on the field when we slaughtered countless of men to bring their world into compliance. I took no joy in what I did it was all a duty at first, but slowly I began to take bliss in the destruction of the reaping. Then became a sergeant in the 2nd great company, which ended up in the Jorgall Execution Campaign to slaughter a humanoid xeno race, We penetrated through sheer firepower and destruction their defenses and took their world’s planet power center, it was glorious planetary destruction we left nothing.
Then came the reaping of Istvaan we culled our ranks from the terran filth and then the other legions. It was truly magnificent, the destruction we unleashed upon our foes, using our dark arsenal and weaponry, I truly rejoiced in my work and that of my brothers, we were as one. Now we are as many. For all the victories and accolades the Battle for Terra was within our grasp, but the gods of the warp are fickle and it was not to be our time. Soon we were routed and splintered, but the majority followed our Primarch to the Eye of Terror.
The Company dwindled slowly but surely as we hire ourselves as mercenaries throughout the Segmentus Obscurus. A constant state of next deserving leader taking our previous one place to lead the Dark Tusks. Unlike most, we trusted each other. Our beliefs in our own prowess and the Gods to achieve and take what we want or need. I have met many of Guilliman’s sons, they have all tried to kill me, but they have failed.
Being the last of my squad has made me realize that I am doing the will of the Gods. Many think me a mad man, but I have survived this long through their blessings and skill, and now I am at the service of the Many-Eyed one which receives visions and guidance of the gods.
