Yes, you are the most fiendish person in existence :P

I want the ring too. Would you be happy with the cloak and the scrolls? If you are dead set on the ring though, it's yours.

You shall fight to the death over it! Since my drow were worthless...

Oh you kids.

They weren't worthless. Worth impaired maybe, but mostly just horribly unlucky on saving throws.

I'm hoping the final encounter isn't as anti-climactic.

That costs money.

Mortimus has the bugbear lead the way south.

You head south into a large columned hallway. A myriad of slender pillars, carved to represent human warriors clad in plate mail and holding a battleaxe grounded in front of them, hold aloft this chilly hallway's sagging ceiling. The air is barely above freezing here, but you see an elven woman clad scantily standing at the end of the room. You see no floor beyond where she stands but you can hear muttered voices coming from the darkness.

GM Rolls:
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

"Ah, Mortimus, it is about time you came. I see you have delivered what we asked of you," the elven woman says in a sultry voice as she holds up a thick tome. "The knowledge you sought to gain from Chalandra is contained within. We shall complete the promised exchange. But there is one minor thing left to do...kill them."

Make a Will Save, Mort. Everyone else can make a Sense Motive check DC 12.

Initiative:

Mortimus: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Ylrhea: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Drago: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Nicatha: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Vaeleus: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

And the enemy rolls for crap again...

Round 1: Drago, Nicatha, Ylrhea, Mortimus, Vaeleus

Nicatha stretches out her hand she opens up a tiny rift above the elven woman and tiny, burning meteors fall through the rift onto her.

Meteors!!!: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Fire Damage, DC 16 (Reflex, to avoid)

Mortimus does not fall prey to the elven woman's charms and Nicatha is fairly certain that this woman is lying about such an arrangement.

"The woman lies about the sleazy necromancer, Ylhrea. She is the more immediate threat."

Mortimus scowls at the magics attempting to cloud his thoughts. ”We had no such arrangement and your attempts to convince me otherwise are poor.”

”Kill her”, he says coldly as he gestures to his minions.

Once again, his bloodlust rose to uncontrollable levels. Summoning up his power, he spoke with more force, "Qeelak Rifstejar." A wind whirled around him and he faded into nothingness.

Cast Invisibility and moved to P - 17

Unsure of who is really friend or foe, fires at the elven woman.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11; miss

The attacks go through the elven woman and the image disappears. Her echoing laughter can be heard in the room.

"Did you really think I was that stupid to not have a plan?" the woman says. "I think it's time for one of your friends to say good-bye."

A vague ghostly shape appears in front of Ylrhea.

Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

The gnome's face contorts in fear as she is reliving some unspeakable terror, but she manages to keep herself together to survive.

Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1) = 7

If that was phantasmal killer doesn't she get two saves? One will, one fort?

Nicatha begs the spirits of the night to shield her from the elven woman, casting Sanctuary.

Can Mortimus use the nearby drow corpse to create a Relentless Zombie.

No, I'd only allow that for a creature which had the scent ability in life.

"Yes."

Mortimus readies to disrupt the witch if she tries a spell within his channeling range.

As you ready your actions, you hear the muttered words of another spell echoing through the room.

Perception DC 20 to determine exactly where. Nicatha, Mortimus and Ylrhea, make DC 19 Will Saves.

Ylrhea readies her bow to fire at the first sign of the caster.

She's in L-17

"She's in the corner over there," Ylrhea exclaims as she fires her bow.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 4 = 14 ; miss

Following the gnome's directions, Mortimus holds his holy symbol aloft and calls on his dark god.

Will (if the spell still goes off): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

She's not in your burst range.

Channel is 30 feet right?. She's within it.

With the burst centered on you, if you don't move, she's still outside of it. I wish there was a better template out there that I could reference. If you know of one, give me a link.

Alright I think I see it now, if the area in aqua is correct.

You also have to make a will save for the sleazy necromancer's channel.
