Veldyriana the Captain of the Mermaid Sword pulls the ship away from the Ghost Ship. As she does the Pirates of the Ghost Ship realize their own ship is leaving because this ship was not an easy mark.
As the Ghost leaves most of the Pirates jump off the ship or they are taken captive. The strange mist also leaves as the Ghost Ship sails away, swiftly to the west. The crew of Mermaid puts the captives in the hold, then the 1st Officer asks the Passengers to meet in the cargo hold.

your out of combat now before you go to hold what did you want to do?

Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3

"Seems like Tymora favored you all, are any of you in need of healing?"

"It would seem that Tymora did favour me, as I have come out of this fray unscathed. I do not think we have met, I am Varis Liadon.", he says to the wood elf.

Male Wood Elf Ranger 1, AC 15, HP 13/13

"Why would we need to meet in the dank, cramped hold, instead of out here in the fresh air"?

The First Officer looks at Kolfax and says Come to meeting and you will know.

Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3

Lynore nods to Varis, "I am Lynore of questionable parentage. I am from the streets and alas do not know my true name. Luck has helped us this day we might as well find out what is going on."

As the crew makes it way to the hold, you all hear the Captain say Someone sold us out. The crew gasps and starts to yell about then years of loyalty.
Then some yells What about those guards? The ones for the cargo?
The Captain puts a hand up. No they fought with us & have shed pirate blood. In fact their Wizard saved us. The Captain says and looks the party.
What about Helso? The last passenger ? Some one yells.
The Captain ponders and the says I have not scene him, maybe the hired guards could find him? What say you she looks at the group waiting for a response.

"I think maybe we should ask this Helso a few questions. Where should we start looking? Was he boarded in the same area as us?"

Try his cabin Someone yells.

Male Wood Elf Ranger 1, AC 15, HP 13/13

Without another word Kolfax, grabs his hammer and heads towards Helso's cabin. (Assuming he knows where it is).

Varis follows behind, keeping watch to make sure the fellow does not slip by them.

Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3

Lynore follows as well.

As you make your way Helso cabin you must cross the deck. It is night time still and there is minimal crew on deck.

I need perception check

As each move across the deck you hear the water the ship. As Varis looks over the side of the shiip, he can see some creatures moving crawling up the side (2 rounds till they get on deck). What does the group do ?

Varis yells out

"Alarm, Alarm! We are under attack again! Creatures climbing up from the water!"

He also aims a firebolt at one of the creatures.

Attack-ranged: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 1

Figures...great hit, crappy damage..lol

Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3

Lynores nocks an arrow and lets it fly at the creature lit up by Varis's flaming bolt.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23, 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Vairs manages to hit one of the creatures and it fall back a bit but then starts climbing again. Lynore arrow sticks in the creature it slides back a bit and continues to climb. There are about 6 creatures coming up the rope.

The rope are foot and half thick, each of the creature continue to climb. The alarm bell is going off because of Varis warning. The 1st mate is trying to direct the crew to releasse the rope.
The party has one more round to attack.

Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3

Lynore whispers a prayer to Tymora and blesses across her companions.

Casts Bless, it works on 3 people, (Rolen, Kolfax, and Varis) concentration, up to 1 min, whenever an attack roll or saving throw is made by these three they can roll an additional d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw

I am continuing to hold the readied action to attack the first enemy to show its head above the rail of the ship.

Male Wood Elf Ranger 1, AC 15, HP 13/13

Kolfax tries to steady his aim against the rocking of the ship, and shoots another Crossbow bolt at the raiders.

1d10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Bolt

Then growls in anger, and tosses the useless weapon to the deck, drawing forth his more familiar weapons.

Varis again looks for who he thinks might be the leader before he fires a bolt of fire at the climbing creatures. If he succeeds, he aims at that creature, otherwise he shoot the same one as last time

I was hiding and firing a bow as a readied action for the first to pop his head above the rail of the ship. (See rolls made above) Did that attack and damage get resolved above before the undead creature closed to attack me? Also, is the undead creature that I now need to engage within 5 feet of an ally for sneak attack damage?

Round 1, Blessed, Sneak Att???

Rolen draws his rapier and attacks the undead before him.

Att: 1d20 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (18) + 5 + (4) = 27
Dam: 1d8 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 5 + (4) = 17

Yes Rolan the first creature that popped you hit. The next try to swing at you.

Rolan arrow fires into the undead creature causing it to drop to the deck. Another creature struggles up the deck. Rolan is ready to act again.

I did attack again, in the preceeding post, 27 to hit and 17 damage. Or, did you mean that I took down two of them and am now in position to attack a third time?

Your attack was the ready attack. You can attack again now
