I've been posting from my phone for the whole darn game until now. Finally back in front of a real keyboard.
Soris, thanks for the suggestion. I didn't have a wrist sheath before, but I sure do now. :)
I've never played a gunslinger before so I don't know those little tricks. Any suggestions are more than welcome.
GM, thanks for the catch. I'll fire next round.

I'm having a blast, actually. I know some people like that in real life, and it's nice to be able to actually respond for a change. As you can see, Isaac values aren't fully defined yet, either. He's young and loud and naive with everything to prove. Of course, he doesn't know what he's trying to prove just yet.

Hey Tierce did my sense motive roll pick up anything, like maybe an enchantment?
Oh yeah no one answered my kobold meat question too. Sorry if I seem like a pest but I dont like missing loot or a hint of things to come. Granted the kobold meat thing is utterly pointless yet still I asked. ;D
Edit- DM ninja'd me.

I think, assuming it's alright, that I will change Isaac's alignment to LG for now, under the assumption that it will change to CG as he develops. It hasn't mattered yet, and I feel like that's more appropriate to his attitude right now.

Didn't you just try to leave a bunch of unconscious people under branches at night near a bunch of corpses just because they were our competition?
I'm not trying to start an alignment argument, but that doesn't sound much like Lawful Good to me. Maybe chaotic good or neutral good, but even that's a stretch.
Honestly, it sounds Lawful Neutral to me. (concern for rules over the welfare of people)

He's really up in arms about this adventure competition. He gets really wrapped up in whatever "quest" he's working on right now. I don't view the LG alignment as "lawful" as much as "orderly." Isaac's definition of orderly is "doing it Praetor's way," and his definition of good is "what Praetor wants." He is under the impression that Praetor wants him to go on this "quest," so that is good in his book. Although, in the minds of others, he probably does come across as LN. I guess it's up to the GM whether or not his alignment is in his own eyes or those around him. I'll leave it up to Tierce.

Yeah you don't really want to get into an argument about alignment, especially with me as your gm as I feel quite strongly about them. Jacob, stick with lawful good for now, a lot of people do not realize that an LG person, especially one of a religious nature can be quite twisted. I've seen justification on how an LG person can massacre innocent people and yes even abandon people in the woods, all because they were following the law of their god and were acting as what the felt was "good". Being a cleric of praetor is a prime example of how things can become twisted

Thats where I go for answers on that kinda stuff. It makes sense to me, so going by that Isaac is not LG but the GM overrides that so I guess he is. Still clerics alignments are connected to their god so really it would be a question of what is Praetor's alignment and does LG fall with in range of it.
P.S. Seems everyone is an early bird around here >.<

Only my favorite comic ever. (Just barely edged out xkcd after a 4 day archive binge when I first discovered it.)

That's an interesting take on alignment.
I find that the core issue with alignment misunderstandings is that in order to make Alignment work as a mechanic, it must be Objective within the game world (i.e. have clear definition on a cosmic scale which is indifferent to what people think is right or wrong), but still be Subjective from a player-perspective (I.e. open to debate between the people playing the game.)
It's one of those yin-yang dichotomies that people often reverse, which causes the whole concept to fall apart.
Personally, I think scrapping the whole concept would be good, except that it's tied mechanically to a few very important spells and abilities.
Now that I understand the GMs perspective (morality is relative to the moral agent's perceptions and biases) I have a much better understanding of both the culture of the world, and the roles and motivations of the world's gods. My guess is the gods are more like Greek/Norse gods than, say, Egyptian. (representing aspects of humanity rather being metaphysical caretakers of reality)
This has been helpful, thanks.

Here's an interesting rules hiccup ranged characters can take advantage of:
You can move into and through an ally's square, but you can't end your turn in a shared square unless you're grappling. If you do, you get bumped back into an adjacent square (back the way you came).
Two characters can choose to share a square but suffer Squeezing penalties.
What that means is that a ranged character can 5' adjust into a square an ally is in, (getting rid of the soft cover they provide enemies) take their shot/spell, and then get bumped back into their original square at the end of their turn. This can be described in game as firing over an ally's shoulder.
The only danger is that if the ally you decide to share a square with is in melée you would risk an AoO from firing while threatened (casters can make concentration checks, guys like me just have to take the risk)
The only area where it's unclear is if the attack incurs Squeezing penalties. Generally it's up to the GM. What I've seen in the past is a check to see if the frontliner is able to cooperate with the and releive the penalties (I've seen this done as a Dex check, a balance/acro roll and a CMB roll against the CMD of the creatures threatening them)
What do you think?

That's a good house rule and I'd love to see it in this game.
My main issue is that I use an AoE weapon primarily. Even if adjacent allies don't provide cover, they'd still be caught in my blast.
The rules I sighted above originally came from things like Bullrushes moving a character into an ally's space against their will, but they also work to provide benefit by removing an adjacent ally from your field of fire by starting the AoE in front of them rather than behind them.

Well if Darius lets on that he is a half vamp. Soris will let on that he can use magic scrolls and look at that he happens to have one that will heal Darius. ;)
Be aware I only have one. They are not cheap, a wand of infernal healing is on my list but for now scrolls is all I can reach gold wise. >.<

Absolutely! I love the characterization and relationships everyone is developing, the combat is quick and smooth, and I can't wait to discover more about the mysterious world of Epiphany. I want to find something really cool in this dungeon!
