The style of the game is pretty dependent on the player, in my experience. If the players ore on board with the plot (taking hooks, going along with it, etc.), then a plot-based game can totally work.
Personally I like an adventure were I can really get into my character. If I cant make an interesting character then their is no point to playing for me.
I have never run anything published. My RL game always plays HB. I would love to play Skull and Shackles or Kingmaker. I avoid the AP spoilers because I want to try them at some point.
Before the creation of Epiphany, the various viels of existance were terrorized by infinitly powerful creatures called the Old Ones. While creating Epiphany, the founder gods with the help of the god of Time, Cronus, sealed the old ones inside the Star Prison, which is actually Epiphany itself. So you were in essence, living and walking on a prison for the Old Ones. If they got loose, they would unmake time and existence as you know it, and destroy Epiphany in the process
Who are the Old Ones, well, to make it easy, think Cthulhu
I like icebergs, hopefully I get in. Never played a ranger before as my wife always played them and I got stuck playing the fighter or cleric. On the flip side, I know fighters and clerics really well!!!!!!
Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5
Personally, I want to play Carrion Crown. I've tried to get into it every time it's come up as a PBP on the boards and I've been turned down every time. I'm not really surprised. My concept is a secondary fighter type. Hard to fit into most parties.

see, I'm a fan of horror stories in all mediums. not the new torture-porn films like Hostle (though the first Saw was actually pretty darn good), but anything else that gets under your skin or makes you jump.
my favorites are usually the ones with the classic monster themes done well, like Let The Right One In and Ginger Snaps.
my current favorite horror movie is Beneath the Mask: the rise of Leslie Vernon.
I dont know horror never really did it for me. Too predictable and repeatative for my taste. I like movies that make you think and cant be figured out until the very end. I tend to get that more in tv series then movies. So I really only see movies when their comedy and action, both never get old to me.
