Jonah fishes some beef jerky out of his belt pouch and chews on it, while ambling along with the others.
What, I am hungry. He comments with a grin.
Silian coughs and then looks around, "We should carry every piece that we are able to. Orc, Priest, if you are accompanying us out of this tower, gather what you are able to."
Silian will look for the hand, or as much of it is on one piece, pick it up, and whatever else he can carry.

Tava visibly flinches at the daylight, it's bright glare hurting her eyes.
Ripping a piece of cloth from her clothing, she fations a headband as they walk and wraps it around her head, pulled low, close to her eyes for some small comfort.

Jonah waves his arm in the general direction of the building.
Vannevar turns towards the noise. "It could be an ambush," he says as he draws his sword.
You make your way into the ruins. There are piles of rubble everywhere, it is very difficult to move around. What remains of the walls that formed this building stand no more than waist high in most places, though there are a few areas where they reach up to where the ceiling must have once been.
Honestly, there is something there. didn't you see the shine off of it?
"I did not. From where did you see this shining coming?"

Vannevar moves closer to where Jonah indicates he saw something and scans the area.
"I believe there is something buried here, beneath the rubble. It would take significant time to dig it out. I do not wish to remain in this place another nightfall."
He turns to look to Silian and Akasha, "What do you wish to do?"

"We have a somewhere to be, but if this wretched place has more to offer perhaps we could take a look. Who knows what treasures are discarded down here?" Silian turns to the orc. "Tava, help move rocks?" He speaks slowly, gesturing to the rubble. "How are we getting back up through the towers, anyways?"
"As you wish."
He sets down his bag and sheaths his sword before setting to work moving rocks.
"I do not know, perhaps we can find a way to send a message to Lady Tela and she will send for us."
"An excellent idea. The question is how to pull that off." Akasha agrees.
"Well, now we have plenty of time to contemplate that matter."
Jonah lowers his pack, and gets to work helping to shift rocks over where he thought the shiny area was.

After about twenty minutes of working together as a group, you have removed enough of the rocks that you can clearly see a dark metal... something. It isn't quite clear what it is just yet.

As they move rubble, "A glint you say, priest? Are you certain? Speaking of, we could rest with Faela at her church while we send a message onward towards Lady Tela. The priestess did offer us lodging, though I would like to tell her that the help she sent along was worthless and fled at the first bump in the night... Oh." Silian pauses, "Priest, I forgot to mention, we left a babbling monstrosity trapped in a room in that wretched tower. It seemed that even the rat-catching orcs and raving savages knew to avoid it. If you have superiors you report to, you may want to make mention of it. Saving the world from evil and whatnot..."

As for reporting to superiors, the next time I manage to find a church of the host here, I will report in.
However, yes, it was a glint, but this I don't know if it was shiny enough indicating the dark metal.
"That is likely our best option," Vannevar says to Silian.
After another few minutes of digging, Jonah uncovers a silver ring wedged between two stones.
After an hour's time of moving rocks, it is now clear that the thing you are uncovering is a warforged.
"Hmm...a warforged. Question is are they active or inert?" Akasha muses.
Decision made to seek aid of church. Possibility of possessing injury. Visual confirmation needed.
The lenses of the warforged flicker on with a crimson light.
Targets not recognized.
"Active." The voice of the warforged emanates a low rumbling whisper.
Sitting up the dark metal soldier pushes most of the remaining rubble off of it.
Quietly scooping the ring into his belt pouch until he can get a better look at it, Jonah scrambles back to grab his spear.
I see that it is active.

Tava's eyes widen as the metal man moves, then talks!
She moves her massive frame behind Jonah, cowering slightly as she looks over his shoulder.
The warforged stands nearly six and a half feet tall, his body composed of a non-reflective black metal. Although he looks plenty strong, he also looks as if he was built for speed. There is a certain grace about him that was missing with Blaze and Demise. He does not clothe himself the way the others did, nor does he appear to carry around a bag or any weapons... except for the thin metal wire entwined around his arm which Silian is fairly certain is a garrote.
You have had dealings with this kind before ? Are they hostile ?

"Warforged are just like anybody else, some are decent people and others are complete and utter @$$holes." Akasha days with a smirk.
Turning to the sleek warforged she looks up, "Well it looks like you got yourself into quite a mess at some point."
Jonah, a bit nervous, starts walking around the old building, looking around.
Jonah sees nothing other than rubble.

Two possess dragonmarks. No sense of recognition. "Warforged do not posses @ssholes. The structural integrity of this building was undermined two years, four months, and five days ago."
Vannevar moves to stand next to Silian. He says nothing, only listens, for now.
