After sending your report(s) of the previous level your team of experts in once again send to explore the Emerald Spire and you make your way further down the stairs.
The stairs descend to a small chamber of smooth, hewn stone lit by a dim greenish light from two strange, torchlike devices on the walls. A metal door with a simple latch mechanism glows with a dim green light in the middle of the north wall. The walls and ceiling are decorated with drawings and writings in bright colors. The depictions are abstract but somehow alien and disturbing.
In the middle of the room is a reptilian humanoid He wears a colorful leather garment and carries a walking stick.
He greets you in common “We welcome you to Godhome. You wish to make sacrifice now, or visit? Take holy grub maybe?”

"We are exploring this tower, and collecting information for others. What is this place, and what is this holy grub that you speak of? Who are you suggesting that we make sacrifice to?"
Revvy Bitterleaf

The troglodyte seems quite friendly towards you and impressed by Torrag speaking to him in draconic, but he keeps speaking in common since the others have addressed him in that language
"Visit, yes, visit good."
“This is home of godbox"
"Godbox gives us holy grub. Things to eat, things to drink. The god gives them to us! I can take you.”
"Follow me, follow Slargh to the place to make sacrifice and offer a gift to the Godbox,”.
“Give the god some iron-metal, and it will bless you and send you on your way! All good visitors make gifts of iron-metal to the god!”

" Yes, any iron-metal. More iron-metal, more better. Give enough iron-metal and god will bless your passing to deeper down."
Torrag's only information about the godbox he can recall is that it's somewhere inside the Emerald Spire, it for some reason wants sacrifices/offerings of metal and is attented by at least one troglodyte.

Curious creature. I'm not sure I have any metal I'm willing to give up. Maybe this dagger.

Maybe I do have something. "Well let's go see him, I've got a whole bag of metal for Godbox right here.

Once everyone has some metal to offer, I think we're good to go.

You thanks Slaag for his kind offer to give you a tour of his home and promise to return quickly with lots of iron-metal for the Godbox.
You quickly make your way back upstairs to the goblin armory and pick up an assortment of crappy made goblins weapons and make your way back towards Slarg who greetz you warmly and then motions you to follow him as he opens the door leading out of this room.

The first room you enter D2
Two light-sticks are mounted on the walls of this chamber, and every surface is adorned with crudely rendered paintings. Passages lead north and east. A short corridor in the north wall leads to a larger room. In the middle of the south wall, there is a large door made of a copper-colored metal. It glows like the light-sticks.
Slaag gives you a few moments to look around before continuing the tour towards the north.
Revvy Bitterleaf
|
This room D3 contains a large stone vat in the middle of the eastern wall. It seems to be filled with a pasty, pink substance.
Just north of the tub, a tall door made of lustrous, coppery metal leads east, and passages exit the chamber to the north and south. Three
torchlike devices in the wall glow with a soft green light, as does the metal door.
"You want to taste holy grub?"
Slaag indicates the pasty, pink substance.
He scoops a bit into his hand and eats it, seemingly enjoying himself a lot as he savors his bites.
the vat is freshly ground meat of an indeterminate nature. While this is wonderfully tasty and nutritious food from the troglodytes’ point of view, the meat is nauseating by other races’ standards, and any character who eats it must succeed at a DC 13 Fortitude save or be sickened for 1 hour.
He waits a few moments again for you to try a bite if you want, before continuing with his tour.

Slaag motions you to follow once you are ready to do so and leads you down a corridor - while explaining that the side doors here leads towards the troglodytes living quarters and those are private and not on the tour - towards;
This room D6 is illuminated by two light-sticks mounted in wall sconces. To the north is a large door of strange copper alloy, which glows much like the light-sticks. The walls and ceiling are covered with indecipherable troglodyte scrawling and paintings. In the northeast corner stands a tall cylindrical bell, made from the same alloy as the door.
Slaag opens the door and shows you the room D7 behind it;
A tall troglodyte statue stands in the center of this otherwise featureless square room, its arms outstretched.
Light-sticks are mounted on the east and west walls, providing dim green illumination, augmenting the stronger glow from the door.
"If your offering of iron-metal to the Gobbox is accepted, this is where down door will appear as blessing from Godbox"

Gunnar brings forth a sack of metal from the Goblin Armory. It's almost as heavy as a Goblin so Gunnar is mighty pleased at the opportunity to dispose of it in the god box.

That grub looks suspicious. I have a bad feeling about this. Hopefully none of us ends up as Holy Grub.
Torrag will take a somewhat closer look at the scrawlings and paintings on the wall in D6 before entering D7.

Devices in the wall sconces produce greenish light. Each device, is a 2-foot-long stick with a glowing sheath of metal at one end. It doesn't specify anything about it (not) being the same shade of green as the emerald spire....so going with; to a man, it's the same color -> green, to a woman it's one of a thousand different shades of green
The scribelings seem to depict everyday troglodyte live, which seems to involve worshiping something a lot.
The statue looks like a troglodyte with it's hands clapped together above it's head, it's a crudely made stone statue.

"We go visit water supply now, you follow. Then we go give many iron-metal to Godbox"
A stone tub filled with water stands against this chamber’s western wall. The water is clean, fresh, and safe to drink.
Three glowing light-sticks illuminate the room. A door of copper-colored metal stands in the western wall, and passages exit the room to the north and south.
Three troglodytes are here, burbling and hissing a nonsense chant that passes for worship of their deity.
For those able to understand the language...still nonsense
"Through that door lies the Godbox, we visit now. Offer lots of many iron-metal?"

Upon seeing the water, I half expected it to be red. . .
Then turning to Slaag,

"We go now"
Slaagh opens the door to reveal:
A hexagonal, metallic structure about ten feet wide and almost twenty-five feet tall looms in the center of this high-ceilinged room, emanating a greenish-white light. All kinds of gears and armaments are stuck to its silvery sides, including dozens of weapons, shields, and pieces of armor, as well as lanterns, buckles, and tools. To the north and south of the object stand two large stone statues, each depicting a troglodyte with its arms upraised in adulation. Four copper-colored metal doors lead out of this chamber, one from each corner of the room.

Gunnar a bit busy with the heavy sack of Goblin junk metal notices that his might hammer seems to be attracted to the Godbox and holds it tighter.

As soon as the coin passes through the door way it seems to pick up speed and moves faster as it comes closer to the center of the room, then it hits the hexagonal, metallic structure with ringing sound.
"See Godbox accepts offering. offer more for door down to open"
I don't think that copper is actually magnetic..but chalking this up to magic..or the coin contains a lot of iron impurities
