Alright! I only got to this a day late and therefore have plenty of time to throw up what i want :D
So far i have built up 5 high level (and mostly gesalted) haracters and am currently playing in a god campaign where we are building the world from scratch :) fun times.
(including a goblin riding around in a freaking tank!)

For this one, i have 2 ideas.
First one is a minotaur/asterion/human ragechemist/barbarian. I would literally give him as much str as i possibly could. He would be green and wear purple trousers (jk), but he would be based off of the hulk. I woukdnt care if he could only punch a single mook at a time, as long as he punched that mook so hard that he broke the crust or sent him into the stratosphere :)
Oh, would you be ok with jumping via accrobatics being str based and not have a cap of your ms? I imagine i could get a pretty high jump at that kind of levels :)

The second idea is, of course, a goblin :)
A goblin alchemist/druid. He would be fire incarnate, using just about every fire ability i can think to give him from discoveries, mutagens, extracts, divine spells, wild shapes and whatnot (and i can think of PLENTY).

These are just the very basic bones, but i will flesh them out tomorrow (its 3 am right now :p)
Btw, if you wanted to see them, here they are

High level characters:

Kommandar Killjoy
At the bottom of the page. Gunslinger/synthisist. A tank driving goblin with the ability to shoot cannonballs around corners. Never got to play :(
Crash of the Hammer
A lvl 25 Two handed fighter. He had insane vision and a perchant for a particularly large hammer (2hammers actually, i dont remember why)
Mr. Ziggles
Hobgoblin Barbarian/cavalier/mamoth rider 20. He was insanely scarry, and had an insane mounted trample atop his rhino. Actually overran Petrikov upthread once...
Wreaker Ralph
Barbarian 20, oracle 5. His very touch would destroy things, his every footfall would crack the ground. As such the only thing that he could use was a hammer with 46 hardness and even then it would crack over time :S every cup and silverware he had needed so much extra hardening, just so he could eat XD he never got finished, but he is a favorite :)

There are more, including sparky the insane goblin, Joseph Bonkers the unkillable abomination (healed 40+ hps a round), Midiotoziggeroto the Raksha Master illusionist, and one more (forgot his name), a human who switched minds with a titan to be ruler of his kingdom (back from 3.5)
:)

After looking around at suggested gods so far, I think I'd like to go with something along the lines of a god of ruin, revolution, war, and physical strength. Sure, the more savage races would mostly be attracted to him for the emphasis on martial prowess, but those who actually sought to study his portfolio and understand his purpose would know that he is the enemy of tyrants; the spark that lights the flame of rebellion in the hearts of oppressed peoples everywhere, and the intimidating figure who demolishes every statue, structure and memorial to those he dethrones in order make way for a new era of freedom without haunting memories of past oppression.

Portfolio would be ruin, revolution, and glory in battle, with domains being Destruction, Strength, Liberation and War.

Titles:
-The Thronebreaker - Encompasses His distaste for tyrants and destructive habits
-Freedom's Fury - Those who pray for success in open revolt revere this aspect, who seeks liberation for the oppressed through violent means.
-He Who Knocks But Once - A reference to His combat methods; the "knock" is actually the sundering of the front door.

Build: Barbarian 1/Two-Handed Fighter 16//Cleric or Sorcerer (haven't decided which). Here's the interesting part (in my opinion): He'll be throwing a two-handed weapon as his primary combat tactic.

As for the Sephira related to him...no idea.

The rest to come.

Der's a Gobber! ^_^ Those ideas are hilarious! Those characters seem so bonkers they may actually work. I will say though, in the name of fairness, others will have a little more consideration because you are still playing in an epic god gestalt. That does not mean you are out of the running, however! ^_^

Sar Xeng, the Sephira are mostly about how you can square them with your personality. You could even make a case for the Sefirot of Rulership, since it also encompasses rulership of oneself and respects the rulership of others (That is, each person's divinely-given authority to control their own lives).

Thanks for the assist, Jazzai! ^_^

JUST LETTING EVERYONE KNOW, I WILL ALLOW UP TO 3 SUBMISSIONS PER PERSON! REMEMBER, FLUFF IS ALL THAT MATTERS AT THIS POINT BESIDES RACE, CLASS, AND ALIGNMENT!

Good lord this thread took off and while I understand that crunch is not considered the most important thing right now, but some people pull inspiration from the crunch. I happen to be one of those sorts most of the time.

Short Story:

As the drow archmage prepared his teleport spell, he looked across the burning city and paused to think of the recent events. Izomorphban had stood for thousands of years, and before the turmoil, it had been secure, at least for the elite, the noble matriarchy. That had all changed with the birth of one Naga Is'dur; the boy had been a runt at birth, a deafened child cursed by the gods and demons for his mother's unholy deeds as priestess. Although tiefling drow were often honored is Izomorphban, the deafness had been seen as a fatal weakness, and he had been left out to die in the tunnels outside the city. But the child had not died, and he, Ros'tar, had found him surrounded by dead duergar, a smile across the small child's face, revealing two fangs, dripping with poison.

He should have stopped there, killed the welp when he saw the destruction he had laid as a child of naught but two. But he had been intrigued by how the boy could have possibly survived this onslaught and took him into the magical academy. Although he had not been the most talented wizard, he seemed to have innate power and progressed in magical capabilities far beyond his peers. He had been adept at most spells he set his mind to, but had preferred to use enchantments and transmutations to get his way, resorting to necromancy when brute force was required. He had always been a loner and often spent his evenings in the seedy underbelly of Izomorphban. What Naga had done down there was beyond Ros'tars understanding originally, but now Ros'tar realized he had been planting these seeds for years. The mage looked out his window again, and saw many of the lower drow houses fighting the previous ruling ones, along with themselves. The slaves of each house poured across the streets, freed by some unknown magic, slaughtering all the drow they could find. Thankfully, Ros'tar was protected by powerful magics...wait what was that?

With a shuddering creak, the magically sealed sealed door slowly swung inwards, and a cloaked figure walked in. The distinctive cloak gave away the humanoid's identity even before he lowered his hood, revealing a handsome horned drow. Naga smiled at Ros'tar, showing his fangs even before he spoke. "Good evening Ros'Tar, the city sure looks bright tonight.". Ros'Tar knew he had one chance to destroy this man before his centuries-old life was ended. To the left, he knew his rod of quickening was within arms reach. As he lunged towards it, he felt his limbs grow slow and knew that in his old age, he had been too slow. As the icy sheath grew over his limbs, he was surprised. Naga had not ripped the air from his lungs and suffocated him, which was his favored way to end enemies.

At the same time, the icy prison he was now encased in was preventing him from moving and observing the outside world. Ros'tar stuggled for a few seconds before deciding to wait out the duration, and it was then
that he heard in his mind the tieflings' voice. I have no desire to kill you Ros'tar. I just wanted to make sure that you realize the position I am putting you in. The city's previous elite has been put to the swords of the slaves they have opressed for thousands of years. There are no more powerful clerics in Izomorphban, meaning there is quite the power vacuum. All of your rivals have been...eliminated. I want you to turn this city into a city of knowledge, a meritocracy in which a person's rank is determined by his ambition and power, not birth. I may visit the city occasionally to check up on you. I may test the stability of your city. I may not. But know this; I will be observing you. The very fabric of this world is being rewoven; when it is finished, I will judge you on your merits.

As the last words faded from Ros'Tars mind, the Fanged Lord dissapeared into nothing but shadows.

Titles:
The Fanged Lord
Breath's End
The Shapeless
Thought-Seeker
The Deafened One
Endless Riot

Domains:
Scalykind, Chaos, Magic, Trickery, Knowledge, Charm

God of Magic, Trickery, Secrets, and Snakes.
CN Tiefling (Drow) 1 Oracle/16 Sorcer/17 Wizard

Servitors: Dragons, Yuan-ti, Magnetars (not super related, but the flavor sounds so awesome)
Realm: Lives on a plane made up of liquid darkness (Black quicksilver), which he morphs to make all of his buildings and such. The noise on the plane is so great that all beings are deafened upon ariving on it.

Liquid Darkness: A cloak made of a substance like quicksilver, except a metallic black.
Sefira: Daat

This character seems like a lot of fun, and seemed like the best-way to play of god of magic icarnate. Due to his association with snakes, I figured that trickery and the pursuit of hidden knowledge would be the best aspect of magic to focus on. I think that the deafness plays an interesting role in his develepment, and why he is so obssessed with hidden knowledge (because originally, all knowledge was hidden to him).
He brings a powerful arcane spellcaster to the party. All of his offensive spells are cast through his sorcerer levels, while all of his buffs and utility spells are through his wizard ones. Due to his mythic shapechanging feat, he is also a powerful warrior when polymorphed, but he prefers to cast spells and get others to mix it up in melee.

3 submissions O.o. not sure what I got to top my other.. buts lets see.

TarXT and I are working on a joint backstory. I'll let him post the full story but sum it up we are basically two aspects of a wilderness deity, before ascension we are just brothers with powerful ties to the natural world. He is a priest or a shaman of sorts, while I am a protector of the wilds/warrior of the woods type guy.

Oracle/Paladin 16 advanced Angel kin Aasimar

The shining Light, The Avenging Crusader, The shield of Hope, The blade of wrath,

Divine crusader, Constantly combat evil wherever he may find it, Heralds all calls to combat deamons and devils and any evils of the world. Protector of innocents and divine judgment bringer.

Diving portfolio- Good, retribution, Honor, War, Light,

Domains- Fire, War, Good, Strength, ???

Divine plane- The Shining city, beautiful floating city made of material similar to marble, yet shines with a light of its own.

Servitors- Angels

Keter(creation/light)? Not sure.

So many ideas floating around in my head, I really should choose one to focus on and I hope I don't step on anyone's toes with it and is in fact similar to the one Darien just posted. The mechanical basis is as follows:

Advanced Aasimar Paladin 6 / Holy Vindicator 10 | Purifier of Life (Oracle) 17

Throughout his life, this particular Aasimar has always felt a strong urge to protect the weak and shield them from the evils that inhabit the planes. By dedicating his life to such a righteous cause, he has started his path to transcending mere mortality as more and more begin to believe in him and his ability to help those in need.

These titles are subject to change if I happen to find a better one.

  • Once nicknamed "The Righteous Flame" for his burning passion to remove evil from the planes.
  • His willingness to act as a shield for others has garnered him the name "The Holy Bastion".
  • While his divine power to heal has granted him the title "The Healing Light".

He is known for his near unmatchable ability to heal and his impregnable defense.

Billybrainpan and Tark, your idea is pretty cool! I have a template for supernaturally linked twins, if the two of you are interested!

Attropos, pretty cool! What sorts of noises on your divine realm? What powers for your cloak? And how would you explain Magnetar, who are LE? You use your magic to create them yourself? One of the default 'shells' for a Magnetar looks somewhat like a suit of armor with a cobra-like 'helmet', so it could fit thematically.

Captain Fremont, you may do crunch if you want, but my main concern is fluff.

Also, has everyone thought about what their godly appearance will be?

Cool beans, Captain Fremont! Any specifics on relic, Sephira, ect.?

Malkuth (Rulership of One's self, and respect for another's authority) or Chesed (Kindness and compassion) seem to fit best to me.

Favored servitors could be one of a few different choices including Angels, Archons, and/or some kind of dragon considering I'm planning on giving him steel wings (Although I'm considering having them reworded as Mithral wings).

His relic will likely have to do with his shield since his main domain will likely be that of Protection.

Will we be starting with these relics? I would go back to look to see if such has been answered already, but I am a bit pressed right now.

Captain Fremont, Chesed fits really well and would give bonus salient divine powers which fit your role. Those are fine choices for servitors. You may reword Steel Wings if you desire. Any ideas on the shield's name or abilities (Maybe it defends against not only literal attacks, but figurative ones as well, metaphysically?). See below for my question on relics.

EVERYONE'S RELIC BEGINS AS MERELY A LEGACY ITEM, AS PER MYTHIC RULES. ONCE YOU ATTAIN GODHOOD, IT BECOMES A MAJOR ARTIFACT AND GAINS AN ARRAY OF IMPRESSIVE POWERS. ONCE IT BECOMES SUCH, IT CANNOT BE FORCIBLY REMOVED FROM YOU OR MADE TO ACT AGAINST YOU BY ANYTHING BUT THE MOST POWERFUL OF MAGICS, BOUND AS IT IS TO YOUR ESSENCE.

Oh, and posting the intro soon!

EDIT: Yes, you begin with the relic as a Legacy Item.

Will our relic be built with the Legendary Item Mythic Rules than?

I'm looking at taking abilities that will allow him to add his shield to his touch ac, fortitude saves, and reflex saves as it is. As for what other power it may possess...it will become unbreakable and bonded to him. Perhaps the ability to reveal hidden dangers and grant protection to those around him.

Captain Fremont, yes, though you do not have to purchase the tier ability for it, as it is free. As for the abilities, those are fine, but there will be more. If you need help, I can make some suggestions.

I don't mind suggestions at all. It might even help me think of something more as well. I know he'll be taking shield focus and mythic shield focus so that he can make better use of his shield. I foresee it being a +5 Mithral Heavy Shield at this point in time. Perhaps with some other abilities.

Perhaps it will grant access to some other shield feats as well.

I need friends :( Gotta find a way to connect ole Ice King to some other PCs...

Not sure if I will or not, but would it be possible to take the Legendary Item path ability, to gain a second such item? If so, thinking my Witch Dagger.

Reposting the idea as requested.

Given I was thinking of a mayan theme it would actually work out well if we were brothers.

The Alchyshaman comes from a jungle culture ruled by a hierarchy of priests who perform a monthly human sacrifice (often a prisoner of war or criminal but often a willing volunteer) to keep demons from the jungle from harming the city and to keep the sleeping vampire emperor demigod sleeping soundly in his pyramid with fresh blood.

You would be a proud warrior sworn to continue bringing victory and prisoners to keep the sleeping demigod sated. I would be the priest who opened up stomachs and ripped out hearts.

However unlike the other priests content to discard the bodies or burn them as tradition demanded our friend here took the bodies and studied them, experimented with them, learned about life and death from them.

I don't have the details altogether but I was thinking ghoul fever eventually nearly destroys the city and eventually our priest friend exposes the demi gods tomb to sunlight killing the creature in its slumber. This ends up freeing them from tyranny (and effectively destroying the jungle demons) but annihilates their civilization. We strike out into the jungle becoming essentially one with it before venturing into the world proper adopting the world itself as our beloved jungle city. Where your character is the savage protector, the parent who rends apart all who threaten their young, the priest represents the hunt itself, whether for knowledge, food, or mates the alchashammy is the one who waits, finds, and removes rather than destroys.

How does that sound as a start?

Scarab Sages

If anyone wants to have a connection to Ythir, it should be a simple matter. He has been exploring the Planes for some time, so it would make sense that he would have run into others doing the same.

Edit: Tenro, could he have met your character at some point? I find him fascinating and I think the two would get along well, even if they never really understood why themselves.

Haha, yup. I be GOBO!!!
Sadly I am not in any of those campaigns anymore except This one. Which is a world builder campaign (tecnically not even pathfinder).
Most of my ideas are built around an idea or concept, then I seee what else i can fit into the idea :)

If i can have a third idea, I would have to say i would go with the goblin gunslinger riding a tank XD

for now, Heres some more concepts about the gobin fireball :) I figure getting stuff written down, then sorted out later will work best :)
(lets you be more a part of creating it as well.)

He is a goblin Alchemist/Druid (archetypes tbd). he will be in a permenant fire elemental state and will never switch out of it. Of his feats, and mythic feats, I am planing on taking the mythic lightning stance feat, every time he moves, he gets 50% miss chance, representing a massive blaze of fire that is rather difficult to pin down. he will be both proficent in melee, ranged and spellcasting, able to do all of them to some degree or other. i am going to take the rocket bombs and inferno bombs discoverys to fire off long ranged KABOOMS, the breath bomb discovery to breath out explosive short ranged blasts, fire brand, so that I can set my fire on fire XD, and eternal potion with the fire trail spell, so that wherever I walk, there is a trial of fire following me everywhere :)

apperance:

This goblin is a constant raging inferno, he is roughly goblinoid in shape but can range everywhere from 2 feet tall to 30+ feet. he is fire incarnate, blazing with the heat of a sun. His jaws alight with an even deeper fire and a wreath of fire surrounding his entire form (He can literally set his mouth and fists on fire (My fire is on FIRE!!) and be constantly surrounded by a aura of fire). Everywhere he treads, fire springs up and even stone can be scortched from his passing. If he sets his gaze on you, marking you for destruction, you can expect it to come from many a different way. his touch can cause you to explode from the inside out like an obscene and gory firework. his breath can incinerate small units at a time, and for those far away, he hurls forth a mighty fireball, scortching entire armies in a never ending inferno. Those that wish to track him should beware, for anywhere the Flaming Inferno walks, the ground is scortched.

Random tibits that I have yet to place somewhere...
He would be called: The Raging Inferno, The Burning Gobo, and Pyroclasim.
As for the relic, I havent looked into it much yet, but if i could get something that would allow me to deal with fire immune creatures, that would be great (fire immunity/resistance is the most common..). Not sure otherwise yet...
His Divine realm would be the elemental plane of fire of course!
I imagine he would embody Hod, as he sees fire as the ultimate glorious form and a certain calmness and serenity in the purifying flames. Or Tiferet, as the flame is the ultimate beauty to the goblinkind and its destructive traits as the most graceful of ways a goblin could destroy something. (essentially preverting the two ideoligies and bringing them to a more base, gobliny form).
Oh yes, I will take the implant bombs feat so that I can implant as many bombs into my self as possible, (and possibly my pet) When I die, a local appocolipse goes off with a miniture nuke XDDD

Thats what I got right now, I will bring more, update it, and orginise it better and more as time goes on :)

Oh, I imagine i could have quite the connection to Petrikov, since i am the polar opposite to him (bad pun) :)

who wants to be friends with the eccentric inventor :3

If I create the goblin gunslinger riding a tank, then yes, i would love to be a friend of the eccentric inventor, you know, considering I have a tank and all...

@Tark and GM - Hmm... supernaturally linked twins? Could you post a link? it sounds interesting.

The way my character is done she can be friends with everyone. Even and Icy King so I am up for ideas ^.^

Alistair Mithralvein (?) makes for an imposing, yet noble figure. Standing near six feet tall, this angelic being is bedecked in a set of mithral full plate that is accompanied by both a mithral shield and sword. However, all of this pales in comparison to the six mithral wings that unfold from this divine being's back with an impressive wingspan of 12 feet.

Often has Alistair been mistaken for a being forged living mithral by the Gods as constructs are forged by wizards.

Edit: Is there some kind of template that turns a creature into a construct?

The great Kobold approaches!

Character Creation: Charis is a white-scaled kobold, clad in a blue robe. A single sword lies on his hip, but his tail is augmented by a separate blade, always flicking back and forth. Fueled by destiny, the drake carries himself well, standing just as straight as any other humanoid would, proud of what he has achieved thus far, and will continue to achieve.
Classes: Wizard 17/Urban Barbarian 7/Duelist 10 | Not sure what Mythic to pick though.
Race: Kobold (yes you read that right)
Traits: Will be decided.

Divine Portfolio: What would the Lord of Kobolds hold dear? His kobold followers. He follows in the vein of Cayden Cailean for the advocation of freedom, but specifically freedom through taking it. The taking of power is what he advocates, but keeping the freedom of one’s self. He does not advocate for “deals with the devil”, but instead advocates for his followers to take their own path to freedom, developing their power to reach their own stars.

Domains: Charis takes the Liberation Domain for his own, having been liberated by himself of his own limitations. He also grants the Scalykind domain, a gift to his scaled brethren who are still yet imprisoned. The aspects of Glory (in the dreams of such), and Protection (of those who cannot protect themselves), are the final two aspects of himself exemplified in his Domains.

Favored Servants: Charis’ favored servants are varied. Some dragons have decided to serve him, mostly metallic dragons, though a few chromatic may join him. However, the Magnetars have also become quite enamored of him, and the star beings find it interesting to work with Charis.

Titles: The Kobold Lord | The Defiler (by chromatic dragons) | Brightstar (by kobolds)
Deific Relics: It is rumoured that Charis has created his own weapon, though whether it was found or not is unknown. It is said to be an amulet set with a single multifaceted jewel, both all colours and none, flickering between the eternal rainbow of colours at it’s whim. Charis is said to be able to empower the hearts of his followers with this gem, granting them their deepest desire should Charis find them worthy.

Divine Realm: A realm of contradiction is Charis’. For those who come with hate and anger, the plane is filled with the defiled remnants of draconic culture, torn and scattered in messy piles. But for those who come in peace, it is a beacon of a new culture, that which brings many closer to the stars they seek to reach.

Background: May be edited to include other members, but early history is as follows:

Spoiler:
This is the story of that which was craven, and now seeks a place among the stars.
This is the story of Charis.

---

When one looks to where the great come from, no eyes turn to the scaled folk. Yes, one’s eye may turn to the great beasts who rule them, the dragons who grow to monstrous sizes and tear apart mountains with their power, but not their servants. Charis is one such servant, a Kobold with nothing. His white scales hid him in the snowy regions as he would stare down at groups of humans seeking to sate his master’s appetite, blue eyes watching as his master gathered up his hoard from everywhere. Why do I bother watching? Charis would think as he watched the hoard grow ever larger. Is it some strange respect for the jennu sho’vathar? Could it be hope for something better, some reality where Charis was the one in control?
It couldn’t be. Everyone knew that Kobolds were the lowest of the low, weak in body, weak in mind. All that they had was natural cunning, and for many that cunning was barely existent.

But Charis had a destiny yet to be realized, a tale yet to be told. Fate had chosen this small creature, and he would follow it to the bitter end.

Fate’s call was not quiet, nor was it calm. It shouted out in a cloud of violence, giving Charis the first tool he required, the inherent magic in his blood. It all started in a dream, all began in the secret corners of Charis’ mind. Images of war, of combat, of death. He saw the countless kobolds, saw the slaughter as humans tore their way through his kind like so much chaff. He saw the draconic lords simply toss them aside, killing them for fun, throwing chaff to the wind. And no one did anything.

No one cried out on behalf of the kobolds, no one looked down and tried to save them. The great draconic gods looked down on their servants and smiled, but their gaze never turned to those underfoot, to those in the shadows. The magnificent beings ignored the twisted failures, those who were too weak to lift a blade, those too weak to cast a single spell.

”What was it now that burned in his belly” Charis thought. ”What is this feeling of pain? It was pain, it was anger, it was more than Charis had thought possible for a being like himself. A voice called out from the shadows, a union of a million scaled throats all crying for a saviour.

And lo! A figure approached! A white-scaled kobold, clad in magnificent armor, magic darting at his fingertips! A horde of dragons leapt up to meet him, reds and whites, black and green, the blues flying fastest of all. But all fell beneath the glory of the Kobold Lord, their wings stricken, burned and blasted, falling from grace. The kobolds came out of the shadows and shouted in a cry of joy, “Who is our lord!”
And they cried again. “Charis the White, may he reach the stars!”

It was there the dream ended, and Charis’ journey began.

Leaving under cover of darkness, he moved to master every theory, every scrap of knowledge he could imagine. For the day he had prophesied would come soon enough, and he would reach the stars as the kobolds had wished for him.

His journey was difficult, but even now he stands at the edge of a cliff, drawing ever closer to the stars that glinted in the sky. Now a paragon amongst his kind, he knows that there are still greater cliffs to climb, and that he shall make it to the heights that no kobold dared dream of, until now.

This is the story of a man who takes a dream and makes it reality.
This is the story of a man who knows nothing of true limits.

Sefira: Yesod is what Charis seeks. He seeks to allow his kind to transcend their feeble bodies, and to reach the goals they have set out to achieve. He seeks to give them and in a way, himself, liberty to break through the chains that kobold society has been placed under due to their weak stature and rejection. Though he recognizes the injustices of the past, Charis faces towards the future, wanting to allow kobolds, and eventually all oppressed, to be able to reach their stars.

Group Background: The Thronebreaker is one he can recognize, though their methods differ slightly. Charis seeks not destruction of old culture, but freedom for those below. The Ice King, though similar in theming, may or may not have actually been in contact with Charis. The other potential gods are not as closely tied with Charis, though it is possible that the others have met with the kobold, though interactions between them would be unclear.

What I contribute: I contribute a surgical strike. A Wizard specializing in teleportation, Charis can easily get to where the party needs him, and dealing precise amounts of damage to enemies via Dimension Dervish. However, that is not all he is. He can also utilize the rest of his vast array of spells, though he prefers to act as the surgical attacker. Charis also may possibly become the “heart” of the party, trying to keep them together in their goals and stop them from falling apart into their separate domains.

Scarab Sages

This might work for the living construct idea, requires no LA.

Captain Fremont, I will think about some abilities for your shield.

Petrikov, yes you may!

Tark and Billy, I will post the link as soon as possible.

My apologies Gobo Horde. This will not be weighed against you! :)

Looking good everyone!

ALSO, LIST OF PLANES IN THE CAMPAIGN INFO TAB! IF ANYONE THINKS I AM MISSING SOMETHING, LET ME KNOW! YOU CAN USE THESE IN YOUR BACKSTORIES, EXCEPT FOR THE PLANE OF RADIANCE OR THE DEADLIER/HARDER TO REACH PLANES!

Would it be possible to come from Earth, and end up wherever the game is to be set, officially?

Baba Yaga is a big part of my character's background, and while the Great Crone can and does travel the planes with ease, having him from Earth would be kinda cool and fun.

Also, he would need a "ride" to where the game starts, which could be how he ties to another PC.

Petrikov, yes you may, though we will likely not be adventuring there.

What does everyone think of that list of the planes?

Scarab Sages

I like the list, but you may want to bold the names and space between each one for easier reading. Ythir would be born into the Underworld at first level, most likely, so maybe a mountain of bones for the mountain; a way to escape the Underworld?

Edit: The Far Beyond is probably the place he would inhabit/reside in as a god.

Planes are fun!

I'm not going to use one as part of my Divine Realm though. Being a Wizard, he made his own personal Demiplane for his Divine Realm. It probably would be nearby Avidarel, and potentially Charis may try to ressurect the dead plane with his deific power.

And in case people may wonder why there is no plane specifically for chaos, how can something so formless have definition? The Far Beyond is the closest thing to it, because venturing into the actual chaos would prove fatal. Too much quantum physics theory! >_<

RVT, can you say a bit more about attributes for characters with monster levels?

To use examples, one of my ideas is an Oracle of Time who, in his planar travels, has taken on an aspect of the Great Beyond and will become a God of Time and Space. He would use a Gravity Elemental for some of his levels on one side of his gestalt. Of course, Gravity Elementals aren't typically mental powerhouses, e.g.

Large (CR5): Str 16, Dex 23, Con 18, Int 4, Wis 11, Cha 11
Elder (CR11): Str 24, Dex 31, Con 20, Int 6, Wis 11, Cha 11

Knowing more about how attributes will work will help me determine if this concept makes any sense. (e.g. a low Cha will really cripple a high level oracle, and these mental stats in general would really change the concept for my god-to-be.)

Thanks again!

Ya, they are neat :)
The fire gobo or Pyroclasim (im spelling that wrong, i know it) would obviously be from the realm of fire while the Great Kommandar would be from the martial plane, and having visited or lived in the Rusty Gears or Carrigmoor plane where he "aquired" his tank then went to the Plane of Spears where he gained his fame and rank. You did say we were planes hoppers ^-^

Scarab Sages

One thing people might want to consider is that most monsters have base stats of 10/11 physical/mental or mental/physical before racial/level bonuses. With the flex stat style of character creation that RVT is using, this could mean very different stats from the original creature.

Gyrfalcon, the large gravity elemental adjustments would be: STR+6, DEX+8, CON+10, INT-6, WIS+0, CHA+0. For the elder gravity elemental, +14, +16, +12, -4, 0, 0, respectively. If you still want to play a similar character, but don't like the way the stats are looking, I have plenty of cool monsters that are similar. ^_^

Gobo, indeed I did say that!

Kios, you speak true, except what is flex stat? Never heard of it! O_O

Scarab Sages

You said that points for stats have a 1-1 ratio, meaning that if someone needed to alter their stats for character creation, they could subtract from one to add to another in equal amounts. I'm not sure if it's a recognized term, but I always call that flex stat.

Edit: For my own character creation I moved every stat to 13, then moved stats away from that center point.

Rough draft for starting crunch on my character. have yet to finish skills and gear and feats are still iffy, but I think this covers the basics of it.

Here's Freddy's backstory.

Backstory:
Faerdorcha's parents were both magical academics, devoting their efforts and abilities toward the furthering of magical knowledge and innovation. As a result, Freddy grew up with a wealth of knowledge and resources at his disposal. Private tutors to foster his innate magical gifts and, when he became an adolescent, he was sent away to one of the most prestigious academies in the land to learn from the best.

But he had little patience for the very fundamental and academic approach that he was taught with. The books, like the ones his parents wrote, were so dry and uninvolved, boiling magic down to a cold and unfeeling form that he had no interest in. When he used a spell, he cast from his heart and soul rather than his mind. It just felt right to him, but they tried to teach it out of him. He knew that the right space for him fell somewhere in the middle, knowing the fundamentals of magic but letting the caster shape and impart themselves upon the spell.

Instead of letting them, he began seeking knowledge in the city, sneaking out during the night where he knew there would be street magicians and self-trained mages who may have more for him. In the process, he found a jovial old haf-elf named Thaliel who spoke his language. Thaliel was a bard who moonlit as a con man. Under his tutelage he learned a style of magic that felt much more natural, marrying knowledge with feeling through magic. Found within song was a magic of its own, both figuratively and literally.

It wasn't as strong as the traditional magic he learned in the tower, but it flowed more naturally, and he learned other useful abilities from Thaliel; how to use weapons, how to pick locks, and how captivate people. More importantly, he taught him to use his magic for more clever and creative things than merely hurling fire. As a musician he could a talent beyond the dull fate of being locked away in a tower writing. He could see the world, earn coin with his voice and with his blade, and when he came of age, he did exactly that. Bidding Thaliel farewell, he graduated from his tutelage at the academy having learned more outside the walls than in it and set out to see the world.

Wanderlust carried Faerdorcha far. He would play in taverns and act as a mercenary to adventuring parties in need of somebody with his skills. As a jack of all trades capable of sneaking, all manner of spells, handling locks, inspiring allies, and stabbing things when they weren't looking, he had many things to offer, and in exchange for a fair share of the treasure would gladly accept any offer that seemed worth his ability. Sometimes he would stay for a while with a group if he took to them and they had enough lucrative goals in mind, but he never let anything get personal.

As he traveled singing the praises of others, his deeds began to stir up stories of his own. A wandering musician who drifted from town to town, tricking creatures larger and tougher than himself into their downfall. What he couldn't beat straight-on, he fooled, and what was too dumb to be fooled he simply struck from beneath a veil of invisiblity.

His greatest achivement was the slaying of a wicked Fae queen who threatened a small hamlet with the intention of turning it into the beginning of her kingdom on the material plane. As part of a small army sent to reclaim the city, Freddy was paid handsomely for the invaluable ability of his song to strength the resolve and guide the blades of warriors who stood with him. With his Cold Iron Rapier, he ended up delivering the fatal blow to the wicked queen, earning the fear and respect of the Fey who fled with their monarch slain.

Songs that sang his praises began to call his blade the Fairy Feller, but he didn't rest for too long on those laurels, departing once again to travel. He had glory, but the glory didn't fulfill him. What he needed was a tavern he could call home, a place that could click with him for longer than a week before the audience grew bored of his performances and he grew weary of the sight of the same faces in his crowd.

Personality:
Freddy is a very loud and jovial man, reveling in ale and song. He actively cultivates a vain, unserious persona to be taken as less of a threat. Jokes and sarcasm imply he takes nothing seriously and underestimates his threat, but it's only to lure them into security and leave an opening he can swiftly exploit. He is genuinely as amused by his own cleverness and pranks as he seems, but is more grave when the moment requires it and there is no time for laughter.

He adores the arts, and though he ran away from knowledge, he embraces it as well. To him, the two are not mutually exclusive. Pursuit of his craft is his greatest concern, and despite his wanderlust he wants nothing more than to find somewhere to call his own. "Home" was not right for him, neither was the academy, and he cannot stand to stay in one place for too long, but his greatest wish is to find a tavern or even a city full of taverns that will just click for him.

Along the way he ended up becoming a Bard 17//Rogue 7/Arcane Trickster 10 by accident. I also rethought him a little bit from the deity fluff before. "He of Rapier Wit" is replaced by "The Jester Prince" because that fits the idea of a trickster god and isn't lame. His domain will be in Faraenyl, perhaps constructed on the kingdom of the fairy queen he slew, and his servants will be Fey instead of Azata. This fits the chaotic feel better, and they constant shifting means that his labyrinth is a little easier to explain.

For his relic, I'm thinking that The Fairy Feller, the cold iron rapier he used in his backstory, would make a good one. The best mythical weapons are those that have some manner of deed attached to them. Still not decided on what it should do, but at least I now have something in mind.

As for Story Trait, he'll be taking "Thief of Legend".

Hey RVT, I think I understand what you mean. Let me confirm with some examples:

To start, one has an 8 in each stat, and can use 30 pts, divided however they want. Yes? So, as Kios says, the "Jack of all trades" character might divide that evenly to have a 13 in each stat (before level adjustments, and etc), and someone else might have:
STR 8+4=12
DEX 8+2=10
CON 8+2=10
INT 8+6=14
WIS 8+4=12
CHA 8+12=20

If I started with those stats and took the adjustments for the elder gravity elemental, it would become:
STR 8+4=12 +14=26
DEX 8+2=10 +16=26
CON 8+2=10 +12=22
INT 8+6=14 -4=10
WIS 8+4=12 +0=12
CHA 8+12=20 +0=20

...and if that had the advanced template it would get an additional +4 to each of those score.

Is that correct?

And yes, I'd certainly be happy to see some other monster suggestions. Thanks!

EDIT:
Also wondering how monster HD work. Suppose a character's base form is a CR 17 Cervinal. What will the character's HD be? And how will you calculate their HP?

Scarab Sages

Look at your Cervinal's HP in stat block under defense. They get 21d(10+con mod).

Hey Gobo, wanna play the fire god to my ice god, and be twin deities of flame and cold? I seem to recall a myth like that irl.

A look at our friend so far.

I don't think I want a template. Mainly because I like having full caster levels on all my stuff and Mythic tiers just give me more. ATM I'm looking at permanent divine power and a permanent potion of some sort before I even think of buff rounds.

I also came across this while looking for mayan names. It rather supports the idea of mine and brian's character being twins and having a legendary sort of background.

I just had another great idea! Second submission is going to be a god of war based on the Makhai from Clash of the Titans. Half-Elf Synthesist 17/Cleric 17 :P

Hey Kios, I know how regular monster HP work. I'm asking how they work in these gestalt rules.

In this example, I could see:
* Saying the character keeps the monster's HD (1d10 in this case) but at 17th level would only have 17 HD. OR
* Saying the character gets all 21 HD at 17th level.

Then, if at 18th level this character took [Wizard | Rogue] does he:
* Gain +1d10 (his monstrous HD)?
* Gain +1d8 (the rogue's HD)?
* Gain nothing until he gets to 22nd level (because he's already got 21 HD)?

EDIT:
...And cuz I'm in a wondering mood, a CR 10 Couatl says "casts spells as a 9th-level sorcerer". Would you allow one side of a gestalt to be Couatl 10 + Sorcerer 7, and have the two stack for spellcasting (so they cast as a 16th level Sorcerer)?

Scarab Sages

Ythir's Pre-God Description:
Ythir appears as a large body of mist "colored" a variety of grays which create a vague semblance of skin and veins surrounding a thick bleached skeleton. Where his eyes should be are instead empty sockets emitting a faint glow of divine power. He wields a large Siangham (basically a shorter short spear with a dagger blade tip or an oversized arrow without the back end.) made from a smaller creature's spine. His jaw is slightly parted, and his head is somewhat tilted, as if he is considering what he sees.

Sorry, gyrfalcon, I misunderstood you. I would hope you'd keep the creature HD at level 17, then advance as your classes, but of course I defer to RVT for confirmation.

Edit: Also, does anyone want their character to have met mine during Ythir's travels of the planes? He spent at least some time in the Underworld and Material Planes and could have traveled to many of the others. I wouldn't be offended if they thought he was undead at first and attacked him based on his appearance.

Kios, Trazzle spent a significant amount of time wandering the planes, himself. He and Ythir might have met at one point.

Freddy stayed on the material plane, but he's spent his entire adult life traveling and working for hire, so it's possible he may have run into some people.
