Ice King Petrikov |

All hail Ice King Petrikov!!, Lord of Winter!!, Master of the Deathfrost, King of the Frostfell!!
Portfolio would be Ice/Cold, Winter, Darkness. Same more or less for Domains.
Not sure about favored servitor race, but White Dragons, Ice Elementals/Mephits, Frost Giants, and a few others all spring to mind as possibilities.
Titles are as above, or variations thereof.
Relic/Artifact would be a crown, similar to the one in Reign of Winter.
Realm would be a frozen wasteland/mountain vastness.
There's some background already in my profile, will add more if I must.
Sefria would be Netzach.

Alright, no worries. I just didn't want to assume anything, as having run recruitment threads before, sometimes I'll type up big responses to multiple people and forget something they asked. Just wanted to make sure before I went and said he excelled in dual wielding only for it to be incompatible with the bard side because of somatic stuff.

1. Utter perfection in terrible beauty, Kashe Aelmah is a master of magic from within, and a blade to match many of the great martials of the world. A gestalt Barbarian/Wizard, with the power of the Eldritch Knight, Kashe was born to a poor family, but has surpassed his family’s limitations to become a magnificent being, (if a bit egotistical).
He is an Aasimar, with a magical heritage.
Wizard X/??? | Martial 17 | Mythic 3
2. Though apotheosis is one of the lesser thoughts in Kashe's mind, he recognizes the potential as he rises closer to the stars. He would take the domains of Glory, Artifice, Knowledge, Magic, and Strength for his own, each showing an aspect of himself. His desire to be powerful, in the Glory domain; his Artificing abilities for his creations, Knowledge for his desire to discover more information, the Magic domain and Strength domain embodying his desire for perfection in combat.
3. Kashe’s current titles are unknown, but possible titles are: The Raging Spell; Flash God; Fury of Clarity.
4. An old design has been recrafted. A cold intelligence, an aspect of its wielder splintered from the time he has manipulated the magical energies within. Al’khin is the magical ring that has bound himself to Kashe, with a mind only slightly less cunning than Kashe’s own. A frozen intelligence, it takes on the purest expression of intellect, with no value for most living beings aside from his master. Kashe is unable to fully suppress the being, though he knows that it is utterly loyal to him. He will never release the ring to another,
5. Divinity brings with it knowledge beyond all. His divine realm is a secretive one, which provides information only to worthy beings. (I don’t know how the cosmology you’re using works, but this is an outline of what he’d like.)
6. Will be posted later on, needs to be worked on more.
7. Needs more thought to be put into it.
8. Group background can be worked on.
9. I want to play this character because the blending of magic and martial power to this degree is something I’ve been enamored with since I’ve heard of the Eldritch Knight prestige class. I haven’t been in many campaigns with others (the previous WotW campaign being my only one), but I do want to have the experience of RPing with other interesting characters. I bring a good knowledge of the rules, and a desire to work with the party and learn how to be a better player. (and of course, cohesion is pleasant.)

Red Velvet Tiger |

Darien, there are only 3 types of Metal Angels, but they rock! The Battle Angels are all about that: glorious battle done in the name of righteousness. Fortress Angels are towering figures whose wings that resemble stained glass are able to guard their wards against nearly any attack. Wrath Angels are divine fury personified, wreathed in fire and able to trail cascades of lightning in its wake as it flies.
Petrikov, is your race a crafted one?

Red Velvet Tiger |

NEW OUTSIDER GROUPS FOR SERVITORS
Facada- CE harlequin-like tricksters with loads of curses, mind control effects, and general 'tricky' abilities.
Metal Angels- Listed above. Righteous metallic Outsiders with a cold purity and distinctly inorganic thought processes.
Lightshades- That's what I'm calling them! Variant Nightshades from Rite Publishing who essentially invert the original creatures.
Sklavadok- Outsiders from the plane where all the multiverse's waste and lost items eventually trickle to. Although rather unkempt and smelly, they possess entropic powers.
Magnetars- Elementals birth from the hearts of stars. Powerful plasma (Fire/lightning) and magnetic abilities. Able to construct a 'body' out of metal.
I will likely also allow non-Outsider servitors, but they must be thematic.
Petrikov, we can make you an Uldra from 3.X Frostfell and add another +2 stat bonus and give you Cryomancer to bring you up to Pathfinder standards.
Captain Fremont, I am not really even looking at crunch at the moment, but perhaps I should clarify.
EVERYONE IS LEVEL 17 GESTALT WITH 3 MYTHIC RANKS! REMEMBER, FLUFF IS MORE IMPORTANT AT THIS STAGE ANYWAY! ^_^

Billybrainpan |

Ferun the Savage Storm
Gestalt Druid/Barbarian 17
Race: custom race?
Divine portfolio: Beasts, savagery, madness, natural disasters,
Domains: Chaos, Animal, Destruction, Madness, and weather.
Favored race of servitor Outsiders: Animal lords and elementals.
Three deific titles: The Beast King, Prince of Madness, Caller of Storms. These aren't set in stone.
Deific relic: Either a powerful set of armor forged from the skin of beasts, or a powerful Greataxe said to give the wielder the powers of The Beast King.
Divine realm: The Savage Lands? Some sort of Chaotic Primal jungle type place.
Backround: Needs to be fleshed out more before I can really post it.
Sefira: Yesod i guess. None of those really fit but this is the closest.
I want to play this character because the Idea of ascending to godhood through mortal triumphs. I also just thought this would be a cool concept for a god. I am fairly well versed in the rules, and have several years of experience with pathfinder/3.x.

Cydrius |

Added after posting this: Oh jeez. Sorry to overlap with you so much on the "tinkering", Darien. I hadn't seen your post when I posted this.
Dotting because I’m tired from a day of work and am not ready to go swim in crunch just yet.
Trazzle Glimmerfang : The Shatterproof Wit; The Prince of Shenanigans; The Broad-Sleeved Rascal
It was said that no goblin could cheat his way into becoming chief of a tribe; Trazzle did.
It was said that no man could cheat his way into becoming lord of a region; Trazzle did.
It was said that no being could cheat its way into deityhood; Trazzle did.
Trazzle is really, really, really good at cheating.
Why would he go to such trouble? Because it was there.
The basic concept is : Goblin Artificer/Witch Tier 3 Trickster, domains of Artifice, Magic, Luck and Trickery. Trazzle stands for either Daat, Binah or Chokmah. (I’m not sure under which of them a deity of quick thinking, ruse, and craftiness would fall.)
Trazzle’s alignment is chaotic neutral : He opposes world-shattering evil which would deprive the population of the planes from exploring their reality freely, but cares little for petty crime which hurts no one in the grand scheme of things. Some would consider him amoral, but he prefers to consider himself unfettered.
He embodies curiosity, freedom of thought and action, quick wit, craftiness, and being prepared for just about anything. His sleeves are said to be a bottomless pit of tricks and surprises. He experiments at grand scales with both alchemy and magic, making him an unpredictable force. He achieves victory not through sheer power or strength, but through trickery and surprise.
His divine realm is one enormous workshop, with bizarre yet efficient automatons of crystal, metal, and magic, tinkering and clankering about; it lurks, ever shifting, in the plane of chaos, making it quite difficult to find.
Those same automatons, known as the Tinkerers, are his favored outsider servants; they are known for traveling to deserted, empty regions of planes, and building unusual and unique structures for travelers to admire and marvel at.
His primary concerns are sheer amusement, discovering new experiences, and encouraging his followers to do the same.
His herald is The Contraption, a living, sentient mass of impossibly shifting machinery and alchemical reagents; it crawls across the landscape, leaving a strange path of oddly-colored plants, repainted and carved rocks, and other such bizarre displays, with no apparent rhyme nor reason. Legend claims that Trazzle himself assembled it to leave a fascinating mark upon the world wherever he appeared, for the simple benefit of sightseers.
His divine relic is the Clever Coat; appearing to be an old long-sleeved leather coat, it is rumored to hold some strange powers and complement the Prince of Shenanigan’s wit and wiles perfectly. (Some ideas : Extradimensional storage space in absurd amounts, the ability to quickly draw just about anything stored within, possibly producing limited amounts of cheap alchemical items and the sort every day.)
Questions:
-I assume the starting ability scores before racial modifiers can't be above 18?
-Do you know when you're planning to end recruitment?

gyrfalcon |

Hi RVT, very curious!
Regarding characters with monster levels, would we be playing actual monsters-with-class-levels? Or possibly also magically transformed humanoids whose powers are represented by those monster levels? (e.g. I could picture a God of the Cosmos with the body of a gravity elemental, but whose origin story is as a human.)
More to the mechanics of monster+levels:
1/ how to ability scores work for monster characters?
2/ do they get the full stat array, size, etc, of the monster they're based on?
3/ can the monster levels be taken anywhere in the gestalt, or do they have to be the first levels on one side of the gestalt?

Red Velvet Tiger |

Gyrfalcon, here are my answers.
1. Generate your ability scores and, using a formula my mentor has nearly perfected, will calculate ability score bonuses that are then applied to the player generated (Rather than bestiary generated) array. Sounds complicated but it isn't. Which Gravity Elemental were you looking at? Remember the group will be level 17 gestalt with 3 mythic ranks.
2. Yes, except as noted in #1.
3. One side of the gestalt only, from the beginning. That's how it works with any levels in a gestalt, at least in every game I have ever played.
Billybrainpan, what is your concept for the race? I'll see if I have something that fits, as I'm still hesitant about race builder. If nothing matches, even with an ability added or altered, then we can look at custom races.

Red Velvet Tiger |

Billybrainpan, characters will still be mortal when the campaign begins. Godhood comes 3 levels after that. You can take salient divine abilities to acquire wild powers and can sculpt the character to look as you want, as long as it isn't a change which would require new abilities to explain. You could choose to play as a Skinwalker or substitute levels for the were(Insert beast name here) template for now, if you want the abilities now. I have some other races you could look at too.

gyrfalcon |

Thanks for the quick reply. I had one (flavor, not mechanical) question in my post too:
Regarding characters with monster levels, would we be playing actual monsters-with-class-levels? Or possibly also magically transformed humanoids whose powers are represented by those monster levels? (e.g. I could picture a God of the Cosmos with the body of a gravity elemental, but whose origin story is as a human.)
To your question of which gravity elemental, I hadn't gone far down that path yet. Do you have any issues with us being Huge? At any rate the gravity elemental / star-god option is just one I'm playing with. Too many tantalizing choices! ;-)

Tenro |

Dotting, will follow up later with specifics.
As posted on the last thread, ill go with a lost mind cryptic (dreamscarred press 3pp, subject to your approval)
And while it doesnt apply to my case I vote people dont have to be full casters. Itll diversify our PC base plus Kord was just a strong guy God he didnt cast spells. plus a host of other Gods.

Ythir the Reaping Wind
Ythir awoke in a vast plane of death as an empty skeleton, his consciousness muddled, where other weak outsiders continually died and birthed new energies. Unlike many of the others, he held on to his personality and ventured out to explore the strange new land.
His first great challenge was the climbing of a gigantic mountain the top of which could not be seen from below. Reaching the top, Ythir realized that the gods had guided him there for a purpose, stretching and thickening his bones along the way and granting him unique power.
The second feat of Ythir came much later. Ythir spent years exploring the vast Planes seeking answers to his own existence andeventually meeting the like-minded Jun Athea. The two would journey the planes separately, always returning to the Neutral Plane of their creation to share their knowledge. Ythir's knowledge became so vast that he ascended further, advancing his ability to interpret his reality. Jun Athea was provided a more direct gift, reflecting a much darker nature.
As Ythir's interpretation of the world expanded, he realized his friend sought only control and dominance. Jun Athea's power took away from the balance that others like Ythir strove for. Confronting his long time friend, Ythir realized too late that he had not the power to defeat her. As Jun Athea's final blow sought out the essence of Ythir, he released a primal shout, exuding an energy that blew her apart. The gods looked down upon this feat as one of glory granting Ythir power over such extreme alignment, but Ythir no longer saw the magnificence in such gods. He picked up the spine of his fallen friend, her power and memory still lingering within, and shaped it into a powerful siangham that he would carry forever after.
Obviously, there are a few differences from the original concept.
At this point, Ythir is a Giant Advanced Counterpoised Petitioner(Purgatory) Priest/Monk 13 with stats
|Str 22|Dex 18|Con 20|Int 20|Wis 20|Cha 14|HP 199|
Ythir's Plane of residence is formed of seemingly random occurrence all created from the surrounding chaos for the purpose of advancement of the individuals that come there, often re-enforcing or obliterating their world views. It's purpose is to strengthen those that journey there regardless of their personal alignment.
Ythir's artifact is Jun Athea's Spine, which (maybe) grants him powers such as permanent haste, a shield of wind, additional attacks of opportunity, or the ability to continue move unhindered, even if attacked. His herald is the Traveling Gate, an aeon formed of erratic energy that pulls those brave enough to get too close to Ythir's Plane.
More on his description, servants and domains to come. Yesod, Hod, or Binah might be good choices for him, but I don't know too much about them. I haven't updated his mythic abilities, but I'm looking at both Guardian and Champion as possibilities.

Monkeygod |

Going to repost my suggestion here:
I think each PC should be required to take 2 levels of one of the Rogue Genius Games Godling classes, which will grant them Lineage Domains.
This will give them access to spells they can then grant, and also allow them to take any other classes, even pure martially ones.

Red Velvet Tiger |

Gyrfalcon, players do not begin as gods, so he cannot start out as a having 'ascended' as a gravity elemental. Still, here are some ideas: sentient piece of the cosmos given form, uniquely intelligent gravity elemental, regular person who has been altered either by design or accident into something fundamentally inhuman in form, ect. I love the idea of a gravity elemental character though! And I have no problems with huge just so long as you know all of the associated cons of being Huge (Easy to hit, less DEX, easy to spot, can't fit into some places without magical aid, ect.).
Tenro, all psionics from DSP are approved! I have already made the decision to strike the requirement as well, listed above somewhere.
Kios, so have you decided on a portfolio? Based on your background and plane, it seems you are shooting for power over death as one of those.

Jazzai Moonbreaker |

Considering my original character idea was actually sans most natural magic I could go either way. If we were taking casting classes I was going to take something that represented the twin she lost. What do we have on the table so far for characters. I think I have seen a lot of arcane.

Red Velvet Tiger |

Ok, this is my final flip-flop decision on this lol.
UPON BECOMING A DEITY, YOU AUTOMATICALLY GAIN THE ABILITY TO CAST YOUR DOMAIN SPELLS, AS A CLERIC OF YOUR CR!
There are also divine powers that can be taken to gain access to all spell of a certain type, at will.
I will list some of the divine powers you can gain sometime soon. Let me say they are glorious! ^_^

Nidoran Duran |

My vote is against Monkeygod's suggestion, just because I feel like making people have to take levels in one specific class would restrict builds people might already have in mind. Gestalt is a lot of bookkeeping, and putting two levels into one thing to uneven it all up would keep people from just leveling two classes neatly if that's what they're going for

Tenro |

Here goes:
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE
1. The above character creation used in making the character.
Will provide crunch later, i do my character creations on the weekend.
2. Details about your character's divine portfolio, domains, favored race of servitor Outsiders, ect.
I imagine my divine portfolio to include, basically, Knowledge, Madness, and Dreams. Potentially Transformation or Transmutation. Servitors I imagine to be something along the line of Daelkyr from Eberron or the Voidmind in 3.5, also likely illithids and aberrations.
3. Three deific titles. You will be playing deities, the least you can do is come up with some epic titles!
- The Pattern that Binds
- The Fractured Mind
- The Lucid Lunatic
4. Come up with ideas for a deific relic. For a real world mythical analogue, think Zeus' Aegis, the Mymir Stone, the Staff of Anubis, ect. Provide an idea on what sort of abilities you may want, but do not include rules! The rules are will be decided by me.
Likely a Circlet for the item, or perhaps a staff. As far as abilities go, spells involving my portfolios. Not really sure. Would this be more of an item that a mortal would have, that i would control the acquisition of, something i would give to my true faithful? or just something i would have?
5. What sort of divine realm would you have? Which plane would it be on (Be generic, like 'the plane of law', because we will be using the Dark Roads and Golden Hells cosmology by Kobold Press, along some worlds from Lords of Gossamer and Shadow by Rite Publishing!)?
Mine would most likely be on the plane of dreams. it would be an ever-changing landscape of anything that an insane mind could conjure. not necessarily a hellscape, but in some areas that is entirely possible. all traits would be highly morphic, most likely.
6. BACKGROUND! I would rather have a party of people with sucktastic crunch and awesome fluff, than a party with the inverse.
Basically, a powerful psion who made contact with great otherworldly entities and came back with a shattered mind. Someone whose mind was once a perfect lens and is now shattered. Things can still be seen through the shattered lens, but its like a kaleidoscope and some things may not translate well. Insight coupled with madness.
7. Post which one of the 10 Sefira your character embodies: Malkuth (Rulership of One's self and surroundings, and respect for another's authority), Yesod (Physicality and the transcendence thereof), Hod (Glory and serenity), Netzach (Eternity, represented by an un changing will), Tiferet (Beauty and inner grace), Gevuruh (Discipline and intent of the law), Chesed (Kindness and compassion), Daat (Knowledge), Binah (Understanding and wisdom), Chokhmah (Epiphany), and Keter (Creation and light). These will be important storywise, give bonuses and penalties, and offer a selection of 'bonus divine powers' once characters achieve apotheosis.
Not sure which of the three would most apply:
Daat - he would be highly knowledgeable
Binah - he would understand a lot and be wise, he would say wiser than most if not all (but people wouldnt believe that, they would think him mad)
Chokmah - he definitely had a profound epiphany that sent him on this course (this may be the most applicable, i think)
8. Try to ask around other players and build the group's background.
will do
9.A post about why you want to play this character, what you bring to the table, and whether or not you intend to facilitate group cohesion (Read: YOU MUST! Even though your character will be a god, this is still a group-based roleplaying game. There will be plenty of time for independent stuff during downtime!).
I have wanted to play a character like this (although i hadnt yet considered doing so at so high a level). I made such a character at low level already for another game but that game died so i was considering bringing the idea forward and extrapolating what it might be to play such a mad character with deific power. Roleplaying the madness and the insight would be the most fun for me, as well as RP interactions of trying to convince others that he is right, as well as his mad followers trying to convince others that they are right and how they are reacted to by other mortals.
Will facilitate group cohesion as a knowledge-based support as well as spell support, and might be full dual caster for a host of abilities.
=================================================
I might choose to play as an aberration of some sort, perhaps an illithid or something. I would like to look for something thematically fitting, like a sithilar or something.

Ice King Petrikov |

Icecrown This is what I am thinking basing my relic/artifact on, especially if its one I personally use, or even lend to my followers.
Speaking of which, have you given thought to our followers, of more or less mortal status?

Red Velvet Tiger |

Billybrainpan, I will begin looking at options for you. Should have a list soon.
Tenro, I thought of something!!! Your character, your theme. Ever read 3.X MM5? MIND FLAYERS OF THOON AND THEIR CREATIONS! Perfect servitors! As for your race, maybe an Thoon Elder Brain (Or in this case, Thoon's Elder Brain?!)?

Tenro |

I was thinking along those lines, although i hadn't read those references. most of my illithid knowledge stems from Lords of Madness
but yeah, sounds awesome!
EDIT: also did you see my question regarding the relic? An idea i had for it, if it's not something i carry, is the ability for me to speak through a mass of people in a really weird way. Like each person makes strange sounds but all together it makes comprehensible (mostly) common speech

Red Velvet Tiger |

Cydrius, that was a derp! Don't know why I thought there were story traits. You may take story feats, however!
Petrikov, I know about that crown. I just didn't know if you wanted a replica. Actually looks a tad bit weak for a deific relic. I can work on something for you. And I have carefully considered how mortals will work. It's quite interesting and allows unscrupulous gods to garner some interesting benefits, at a pretty high cost.
Tenro, forgot to answer! I'm thinking of some kind of physical relic, like maybe a gem that floats near you or tendrils that trail seemingly into nothingness near your giant brain form! Oh and the Thoon Elder Brain creature is CR15 and large size. Do Cryptics get form concealing capabilities lol? Still, not the most screwed up creature to walk (Or float!) through the planes. There are also Contemplatives of Ashok, if that concept squicks you out!

Cydrius |

Ah! Okay, so 2 traits and one more if we take a drawback, then?
When you say "you may take a story feat", do you mean in place of another feat, or do you mean free alongside the traits as the first post seems to imply?
How many domains should our characters have?
Is it okay if the crunch is partial, to be completed if the character is picked? (Trazzle's equipment will be very long to pick, so I'd rather wait until after I know if he's picked. Same for his skills.)
Also, for the record, if anyone has a character who is a force of law in some way, or a guardian of a city, anything of the sort, please let me know. I've got a background hook for someone else to link up with Trazzle, which would make for an interesting connection.

Red Velvet Tiger |

Cydrius, here are you answers.
1. FREE STORY FEAT!
2. UPON ASCENSCION, CHARACTERS GAIN 5 DOMAINS!
3. FLUFF AND THE CRUNCH CONCEPT ARE WHAT I SELECT PLAYERS FROM, CRUNCH CAN BE CONPLETED AFTERWARDS!
Sorry about so many capitalized sentences, players normally just pay attention to those more, or at least I did! ^_^
