"A beacon of knowledge shining from the tallest towers of the city, illuminating the forgotten secrets of the past" is how the Morgrave University likes to present itself to Sharn and to the world. The truth, though, is a bit different. The place is as cutthroat and opportunistic as most pirate ships and the university staff is a kin to a nest of politically savvy vipers. University is mostly interested in exploring the continent of Xen'drik and finances a lot of expeditions to that place, but various professors vie with each other for influence over those expeditions and usually the one with best finances wins. Although very competitive, the professors kept their struggles mostly in the realm of back-room dealings and malicious gossip, but things recently got more heated. A new professor was accepted by the University - s man called Vurdalak Mogrun. The rumor goes that he started to finance the expeditions with unsavory goals, such as discovering more information of forges used to make the warforged race, aberrant dragonmarks and even worse things, and some of his opponents turned out dead or missing.
