Initiative Reminder:

Cog
Thug 3
Gang Leader (1)
Aegen
Evo
Thug 4
Thug 2
Thug 5

Cog, you would have near-perfect recollection of everything that's happened to you after you were activated. You were most likely made in a factory that mass-produced warforged constructs for the war effort.

Cog's attack misses the enemy suicidally, as Aegen's own aggressor presses the advantage.

Attack Roll 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Attack Roll 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Attack 2 Damage Roll: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Aegen is further sliced open, but the sorcerer recovers his footing and imbibes a healing potion a moment later. The sickening sensation from his wounds, however, intensifies. Aegen because of your failed save you take 1 Dex damage and 1 Wis damage.

The leader of this band of ne'er-do-wells lashes out at Cog once more with his wicked scythe, his masked face cold and expressionless.

Attack Roll 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18 Attack Roll 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

...but only his first swing lands.

Damage Roll: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12

Evo strikes the thugs on either side of her, but ducks to the northwest, getting her back against the wall to limit her enemies' flanking options.

Evo, I'm moving you to G5, to get out of the flank, hope you don't mind.

Thug 4 attacks Evo where she is now, losing the benefit of the flank.

Attack Roll 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 Attack Roll 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Attack 1 Damage Roll: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Evo, you take 7 damage.

The second in command moves to attack Evo (from H5).

Attack Roll 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Attack Roll 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Critical Confirmation Roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Attack 2 Damage Roll: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Evo, you take another 5 points of damage and are knocked unconscious at -3 hp, which causes your body to revert back to its changeling form.

The sound of whistles and shouting voices rings out from the fog to the east. Beams of lantern light erratically approach through the mist as the city watch approaches, drawn no doubt from the sounds of your tumult.

"Retreat," orders the cool voice behind the leader's mask, as he hears the watch approaching.

The third thug runs south and jumps off the skybridge, disappearing into the fog. The second and fourth thugs do the same.

Cog, you have one last chance to attack the gang leader before he too flees.

The fog is thick and Cog and Aegen may have enough time (one round) to flee the scene before the city watch arrives, but the same can't be said for the changeling lying on the ground.

Evo, I'll need you to roll a stabilization check.

Also guys, don't worry, you'll be getting hella XP for this encounter.

Male Human Battle sorcerer 3; 9/30 hp, Init +2, AC 16 [touch 12, FF 14], Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +4

FINALLY!

Aegen begins to retreat as the enemies flee and the signs of the watch draw closer. He takes a few hurried steps but then stops abruptly, his eyes drawn to the changeling lying prone on the wet street. He finds himself torn between self preservation and the old mentality drilled into him: No one left behind.

With a snort of annoyance he slams his blade back into its sheathe and runs over to the young changeling girl, scoops her up, and throws her over his shoulder. He immediately makes for the safest place he can think of, back to work.

The girls'll know what to do.

He calls out to the warforged as he begins to run back into the fog, Hey you! You coming? Or are you just gonna let the Watch slap all this on you?

Female personality warforged fighter 3: 38/38 hp, Init +4, AC 17 [touch 12, FF15], Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +2

Cog, frustrated at how rusty she was, swings again hoping more than ever that this shot is the one to drop this ass permanently.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
2d6 + 12 ⇒ (4, 3) + 12 = 19

After her last attempt, she hears Aegan's call to her. Although still unsure who these two were, she chose to follow them.

Anyone is a better group to be with then these guys, I guess.

CRIT!!!!111!&@

Male human bard 7/pathfinder savant 5: 83/83 hp, Init +2, AC 24 [touch 14, flat-footed 23], Fort +10, Ref +12, Will +11; Perception +5

I'd roll for damage, but it seems kind of silly at this point.

The leader of this gang of "plague doctors" crumples under Cog's blade and moment later, his cronies have all but disappeared. As the lights and sounds of the city watch press ever closer through the mist and rain, the three strangers make a break for it in the opposite direction, spotted in passing by civilians drawn to the scene by the clamor of blades.

The adrenaline has pushed the last of the alcohol from Aegen's bloodstream and though the Cyran is badly wounded, he, the unconscious Evo, and Cog are able to find a dark and secluded alleyway, far from the scene of the crime. The night air remains hot and balmy despite the empty darkness of the night.

Stabilization Check for Evo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

She's stable. :)

...ugh, I'm an amateur. That last post is a DM post. Sorry guys. >_<

Aegen pauses for a moment in the alley, fumbling around in his beltpouch with his free hand and producing a second vial, popping the stopper, and downing the healing potion.

Potion of Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

He exhales with relief as the potion goes to work knitting the worst of his injuries closed. Taking a quick look down each end of the alley, he sets the changeling down as carefully as he can. He reaches into his pouch for a third healing potion, unstoppers it and holds it to her mouth, trying to coax her into unconciously drinking.

Cog stands, watching Aegan. Jealousy flared up inside her, only for a moment. She could never be that gentle with another being. Not with her metal and wood crafted hands. The jealousy subsided in a matter of seconds, and she spoke.

What was that all about? Is she going to be okay? Are you okay?

Aegen drops the empty glass vial to the wet stone street of the alley. He takes his eyes off the changeling only for a moment to regard the warforged, then continues to watch the changeling for signs of improvement.

I've had worse.

When?! He questions himself.

I've coaxed her to drinking. She'll live, but without more help than I can give 'er, she won't be doing cartwheels across skybridges any time soon. As to who those freaks were, your guess is as good as mine.

He does a quick second look at Cog.

You're damaged.

It's both a statement of a fact, and a veiled question regarding the warforged's obvious wounds.

Evo, after the administration of the curative potion, you've recovered consciousness and you're back up to 5 hp.

Female changeling rogue 3: 30/30 hp, Init +6, AC 19 [touch 14, FF 15], Fort +2, Ref +7, Will +2

What be happening? Oy, I got knick knocked on me head and fell! OH no, they seen my real skin! They know what I is! I gots to make meself a mess of words and run.

Evo changes back into her second skin, the redhead with tattoos.

Please meeting you lot here! Nice fight, nice chats! I be going now, thanks for the help gents and...

Evo looks curiously at the female formed war-forged.

you miss! I be leaving now!

Evo looks to exit, but finds her entrance blocked.

Evo Only:
Not only do you find the alley to be a dead-end, but you immediately recognize the Cyran man, Aegen Aeron, as the bouncer of The Reverse Mermaid, the brothel where your friend Alin works (and where you frequently sleep the night).

Beautiful formatting, by the way. You've really gotten the hand of it!

Cog, how do you respond to Aegen's statement/question?
