ROD OF WONDER: 1d100 ⇒ 35 Raen again points the rod at the troll, and a 1d100 ⇒ 22 rhino pops out of the end of it! The big animal begins snuffling around for some grass to eat, and wanders down the hall.

Meanwhile, the fire elemental smashes at the troll with flaming fists.

Disappointed that the rhino wasn't combat ready, Raen focuses her attention on the elemental she's summoned.

Twice the elemental attacks, but only once connects, ensuring the troll will continue to suffer. Already on fire.

Whistle Pig hones in and delivers a practiced barrage!

It's more than the burning mountain troll can handle. It drops to the castle floor as the flames quickly incinerate what's left!

For felling the mountain troll with ease, the party members earn 6,400 XP!

Raen dismisses the elemental after thanking it for its services, then takes to searching the troll and the room.

T10 Perception for 24, plus Detect Magic. Would accept help.

Do the stairs to the southwest go up, down, or both?

Raen and the others check the room, though they find nothing of interest in the room or on the ashes. The stairs here go up.

"These stairs likely allow access to the southwestern towers. Let us rather proceed north to eliminate the threats occupying this level."

Moved the pog on the main map to the next room; I assume WP does his thing on the door.

Whistle Pig declares the door safe, and indeed it leads to a simple storage room. The party takes a look around and finds nothing of concern or value.
