"This should slow it down a little." Alinya chants strange syllables while her fingers twist in gestures of power. She points at the manticore and a coruscating beam of bilious green light springs from outstretched finger to misbegotten beast.
The manticore seems to age and wither muscles under Alinya's spell; its beard and tawny pelt now greying......

Rholf moves to the other side of Castiel , and casts a spell, touching Larissa's shoulder near the end of his prayer.

The manticore lights to ground in its position, it flicks four tail spikes, two at Castiel and two at Rholfy.
It seems rather weakened; only one hits Rholf, who takes 6 hp in damage from the thing.
It's aground now.
