Hello. Thanks for picking me. Now I've got to go everyone's stories to see how much trouble Tera's in. ;)
Also, how painful is this transition going to be?

Tera Flinders |

Well, yeah, death is always messy, but I was talking about the transition back.

Duboris |

Probably should have told the guy from Zeltos that the seekers like to steal brains... Then again you can't spoil everything.
@Tera
It ain't pretty and recombobulation takes all of a 2 minute process
@Bannon
Babau's are preeeetty nasty.
I'd also like to point out that post quality will up as the story progresses. Doing a spoiler for everyone about everyone else was a bit rough, haha.

Tera Flinders |

Let's see...
Roasted Alive,
Head Bashed In,
Freeze Dried to death,
Ripped to shreds,
And...
Mauled by a fiendish horde.
Yep Methinks the pain has already begun.

I'd like to point out that I respond lightning fast to my own threads. On top of that, I'm perfectly okay with independent PC conversations with NPC's, which you guys will likely be doing a lot of.
I'd also like to point out that there's roughly an 16 hour grace period, where if you don't post, I remove you and switch you out.
So far we're waiting on Hana Miyahara, and Roman.
I also prefer one post a day, so if there's a day you won't be posting, give me a heads up.
On top of that, if you consistently go multiple days without posting, I'll consider removing you.
I doubt we'll have that problem, though :D

Tera Flinders |

EDIT: Didn't read the full text. I can manage a post (or a dozen) a day, and I'll give you a heads up if I'm going to be gone. If I'm not posting, it's because I can't think of anything useful to say, or how to phrase something in character, it's not a lack of interest.

Roman Tsarko |

Here I am.
A minor issue with the posting schedule: I live in Italy, GMT +1, so I'm sleeping when a USA poster will be most active, such as the evening.
Other than that, I'm happy to be dead with you guys! I'll reply in the Gameplay thread shortly.
Roman isn't really the panicky type, but dying like that may be considered a reasonable exception.

Duboris |

"Hi, welcome to the nexus recently-deceased paladin."
*casts detect evil*
"Oh you're gonna wish you hadn't done that."
A thing I need to point out about the nexus is that it's physically impossible to physically harm / touch another being in the nexus. Doing so causes your limbs to disintegrate, though, it's not painful at all and they immediately go back together.
"Marco will explain" Though he could, just as easily.

Duboris |

Spoiler it and title it "Dwarven"
Did I also mention that I'm enjoying the crap out of this, and that I can reply back FEVERISHLY after 4:00?
Cuz I can.
Also I like the idea of a Dwarven language conversation, and look forward to it. I have the feeling he's going to be happy to see you.
So let's stop to look at that: 4 people in this room.
Big nose: Tons of trinkets
Finelia: Bows and stuff, along with plenty of jewels and gems sitting on her table.
Arcus: Currently in an uproar over the fact there's a man in the floor in front of him.
Marco: Rather busy with a long-armed/legged dragon-thing on his shoulders with alchemical things bubbling in front of him, spellbook wide-open.
Eat your heart out.

Bromen Spellbane |
hope that's what you meant - that's Latvian via Google Translate, by the way.
I can reply back FEVERISHLY after 4:00
should have asked before.....where are you exactly? Im in New York, EST, so its 8:30pm right now. Kids are off to bed, so even less distractions to keep me from the boards!

Tera Flinders |

CDT, Central Alabama.
I know you didn't ask me, but I thought it'd be cool to find out who's from where.

Tera Flinders |

Oh yes. I'll try to have a post up soon, but I may have to wait until later tonight.

Well, ladies and gentleman, I just got done adjusting all of my pre-scripted events for tomorrow on whichever journey your about to go on, and I must say, it's going to be riveting.
Adjusted most of the checks, making them a little tougher, and some a little easier, as well as made changes to a few other things. This'll be swell.

I like. I'm kind of hoping that we can get 1 or 2 more posts before I do a big section. Anyone who's reading the spoilers that trusts themselves not to abuse the knowledge will know that Hana just ran into my NPC that has the most. annoying. speech. mannerisms. ever.
Doesn't he?!
He also saw through my +17 disguise without a check which is kind of sad. Technically I should've rolled it out before. If anyone else wants to blast Perception at me (you can't until you interact with me and I call attention to myself), the DC is Disguise: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26
In terms of piano music: I'll throw out some favorites in the 'sombre' tone.
Nier Gestalt-Replicant - Dispossession Piano ver
Or Persona 3 - Brand New Day -The Beginning-
and the one I think fits the most: Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata

Other than that, I guess this is just me, but I figured Knowledge: Local was used to identify these sorts of things. Please never roll that many knowledges again ;_;
Here's how I look at it: The Pass of Argosal could be religion or nature since it's primarily undead dominated but in the wilds; Nibreltar could be history or planes since it's a hellmouth in a city; the prison of Zeltos could be dungeoneering. It's up to you. Dungeoneering might be tinted from an adventuring standpoint, religion from a religious, local from a rumorist (like a bartender), nature from a survivalist, history from a historian. If a historian would know more about Nibreltar than a priest, then it's the skill-- in the same token, if a planar traveler might know more about it than a bartender, it might be planes.
And then Geography is the catch-all skill to identify cultural things like a shamisen or a dirigidoo (not sure why they're musical instruments) and where they're from... and then, how to get there.
Being able to recognize Hell for example might be planes; Recognizing the Nexus definitely would be.
But that's not entirely specified in the rules either.
On that note... Remember how you said "You don't know what knowledge it is until you try!" You could've said Local and I would've rolled just local for you.
I have a lot of knowledges! Don't make me hurl a fistful of dice and I won't have to!! *shakefist*
I actually gave you a 10 on the roll and made it secretly. Rodrick is... pretty perceptive.
Darn. That's fair.
I'm wondering if Hana is more evil than good. Maybe that's her struggle.
To clarify: "There's a wyrmling in a smithy in Hazrit, and perhaps gems. Get one for me, pleez?" is his request. Reasonable!

Tera Flinders |

Are we talking oil and an open flame, or matter and antimatter?

Tera Flinders |

Joy, so it's a slow motion explosion that can rival the power output of the sun. This ought to be fun. :D

Duboris |

So let's get this straight. At the moment we're right around 2 posts a day, which is lovely. Roman posts on my early mornings, which means that when combat starts I may have to DMPC him rather fairly based on his character personality.
Speaking of which, I need to ask everyone a favor. For those of you that have read any pathfinder adventure path you're aware of "Tactics"
So, with that, I'd like the lot of you to, based on what you believe your own tactics are, to sort of give me a... "I'm not here right now, please see my pre-laid plans"
So for those of you that feel you aren't on often enough, or won't have the time to consistently be there for the combats that are Bound to happen, here's what I'd like ya to do.
Here's an example;
Dmitri Mavis
----------------------
Pre-Combat
- If Dmitri Mavis has access to his usual potions of false life and haste, he makes sure to drink both on the first round, or prior, if Combat is most definitely about to happen.
- Provided Dmitri has the heads up on this combat, he casts Divine Favor, Bear's Endurance, and Magic Weapon.
-----------------------
During Combat
- Dmitri is the very quintessence of reckless abandon, but he prefers victory to running. Wading into combat, provided he wins initiative, he is in total defense, ready to soak up the first round of damage in ritualistic glee. After this, attacks with reckless blows, cleaving and power attacking at once.
- If there are no easily foreseeable fights that day, he adds channel smite into his blows.
- If a character in combat is notably good aligned, he smites on the spot and direct most of his attacks on them, cleaving anyone that gets near.
-----------------------
Combat End
- Dmitri fights until reduced to 10 hp, at which point he tries to flee if the opportunity presents itself unless a female has fallen in combat, at which point he exhausts his die hard feat to seek revenge, even if it costs him his life.
Something to that effect. Sort of an "Autopilot" thing.
