Tera Flinders |
As a player, I say bring it on!
Tera, on the other hand... Well, she can't have her way all the time, now can she? >:)
Tera Flinders |
Daaaaang, that's some disguise check. :)
Hana Miyahara |
I do!
I never imagined I walked that close. I actually imagined I was standing beside Bromen-- that Tera in front of me turned around to grab us both (described!) and then left us.
So if I'm near there, I'm on the other side of the door as Tera, or even behind Bannon.
Duboris |
The map is actually not going to be used for the combat, in particular. It's more for showing the layout of the room. I was never a large fan of setting everything up with "Knight to B7" so that's out of the picture entirely.
But now here we are, with everyone where they need to be, especially Hana, who is to the left of Bannon in the cell beside him.
Anyways, next post is going to be an initiative post, and a dwarf with teeth in his back, if the rolls say so.
Good luck guys.
Duboris |
*proceeds to write out contents of horde*
*Attempts to fathom how that went so well*
*Fails*
*#Dammit Roman*
Shoo... what was your guys's experience totals at in the last experience post? Because it just went up significantly, as did the amount of gold in your belt.
Current exp total is 1350/2000 :D The dragon was worth 3000 exp, divided among 5 people. So 600 per person.
I'll post the contents of the horde when you're all certain your done with the dragon. Combat initiative is as it is, until roman declares he can't hit it/doesn't want to.
Also, Roman, you can Retcon this because it was my bad, but the person in question who messaged you sounded nothing like Arcus or Marco, and was someone different entirely you haven't met yet.

I didn't post it on accident, but I swear to you on this campaign's honesty that he rolled a 24. Looking for it, I can't find that I posted it, but I did the prev- Oh wait! I know what happened to it. I had the roll set and ready along that giant mesh of dice, but then I accidentally did that one odd thing where your keyboard suddenly stops typing, followed by you clicking backspace without realizing it and losing everything you just spent 15 minutes typing.
I actually had to do those posts twice, each, because this laptop is the devil.
I'm sorry I didn't post the will save, but I swear he saved against it.
Hana Miyahara |
I believe you!
If you use Firefox, check out the Lazarus tool add on. It helps immensely by saving the forms you type out, so when that happens you can just click the lazarus icon and recall it.
Tera Flinders |
Chrome has it too!
Anyway, off to write Tera's response.
Duboris |
Tera got taken out by like 6. Splitting you guys up may happen in the future, depending on everyone's schedule. This seems like a rather solid AP, at the moment! And I'm happy about that.
That said, what'll it be? Teleporting out to save Bannon's hide from 2 will saves, or trucking it back to the Cavern?
Tera Flinders |
Teleporting out. No sense in risking it any more than we have to.
Bannon the Adjurer |
Im in for TPing back the Nexus, but if someone's able to snap some sort of a backbone in the spellcaster, I migh entertain the notion of proceeding.
Im hoping at somepoint to unlock Bannons confidence later in the adventure...heck maybe its good for what it is..
Aside from that, i aggree with Duboris about the PbP. The interaction is splendid and quite enjoyable!
Duboris |
Arcus, Marco, Bagrin, Cecille, Oswald, Damien, Esmeralda, etc, etc, plenty of NPCs!
Okay, so there's well over 10 NPC's to count now, and There's like 26 in the nexus. I'm DEFINITELY going to painstakingly explain all the ones you've met so far, AS WELL AS upload a picture done in Sketchbook pro of the Nexus's layout. Including the parts you haven't been too.
Now would be a good time to unwind, by the way. Bannon can get his spells, etc, etc. No one's leveled yet, but such are the Ire's of level 3 (And the fact you guys avoided like 3 encounters altogether)
... Speaking of which...
Considering you guys diplomacized the Ogre, AND Esmeralda, I'm just gonna have at this:
Current exp: 1750/2000
Feel free to go off on tangents now :D
Tera Flinders |
Sorry, busy day, and I'm trying to stay on top of the two games I'm running. Post later this evening. (I'm cooking supper tonight.)
Tera Flinders |
Oh, don't worry, it'll be delicious. :)
Now I have a desire to train a character in profession cook...

So Roman and Bromen have the right ideas with the whole "I'm going to post my priorities" thing, because I'd be able to DMPC everyone's actions for the most part. I'm not quite sure how the dialogue wants to go, but it'll take ages to get through all the idle chatter I know everyone wants to have with their significant others.
Tera, you're working off a guilt trip, so you don't really have to, but Oswald's about 6 seconds from greeting you back as you've inevitably separated yourself from the crowd with your practicing. (The only place to really practice is in the common's area, which you'll likely warp to, as it's got vacant rooms.)
Hana and Bannon are all that need to post their priorities and I'll DMPC accordingly. If anyone has problems with how things go, simply ask for the Retcon, but I don't think I'm going to be like "He dangles a 200,000 gold artifact infront of your nose and asks for it, in exchange for the cursed ring." and then be like "Haha no, can't have it hue hue hue" that'd just be rude.
Bromen no doubt wants to converse with Arcus, even asking about the Rabadon's thing. This, to me, means idle time, which means it's a moment for me to give you plenty of information on the locale as "Downtime."
On another note, seeing as how this is going to be such wonderful roleplay, and you guys are inevitably going to level in the next 15 minutes of game time anyway, Just go ahead and level to 3
Hana will likely go to the pianist to learn of things, right? The end-all question is who wants to do what with the loot? We can discuss that here at a decent pace, I would guess, with the weekend's end looming over.
So give me your top 6 priorities, and level your s$&%. Because the fights just got harder and the plot just thickened.
Tera Flinders |
Oh boy, this is going to be interesting. I'll have Tera's updated stats posted in a moment.
Right now, Tera really only has one priority and that's figuring out if there's anyway that could have gone differently. As for the interaction with Oswald, well. I can post after I get home from work tomorrow. I hope that waiting until then doesn't monkey-wrench your plans.
Duboris |
As a man that gets off work at 4:30, no, no it doesn't. I'm frankly certain everyone here works, as far as I know. Me, you, bannon, bromen practically oozes it. Not sure about Hana and Roman though, but if roman does it doesn't effect his posting on account of his completely alternate hours of "Being Conscious."
Tera Flinders |
Well, I was in college not so long ago and I know how impatient I could get. Like I said, I hope you don't mind waiting on me.
Hana Miyahara |
I work much less than when we started, but Mondays are my "work all day" day. It's kind of work. I run tabletop games for twelve hours for cash.
I'll level up, think over my actions and take them.
Bromen Spellbane |
I am blessed/cursed to be able to work from home......so while I should be working on a few projects this morning I just finished leveling up. haven't added the longhammer to the character sheet yet, want to see how things go with Arcus first...........
Duboris |
I just realized a rather major error in my math! Which is ironic, because I just passed college Contemporary Math 142 with an 87% and officially became the owner of an Associates of Fine Arts. Hot diggity.
Anyways, the saying of "Aetherizing a piece of equipment gives you half of it's buying price" is wrong.
Doing that would mean that for every item you crafted, you could break that one, and then make 2 more. And no, ladies and gentleman. Just no. So, in light of this, Aetherizing a piece of equipment gives you half of it's Crafting Price. That means that everything is worth a 1/4th of it's buying price in Aether, with the exception of gold, which is half, obviously.
So yeah, this is how it looks on the rim:
A 100,000 gold Horde is 50,000 Aether.
A Masterwork Sword (300 gold) is 75 Aether.
A Rejuvenation Ring (20,000 gold) is 5000 Aether.
Rather simple, of course. I'll explain very soon, after I finish cooking my college noodles of pure victory, White, Colored, and Clear Aether.
Bromen Spellbane |
my visions for Bromen are more of a mobile fighting style so the low DEX bonus of heavy armor doesn't quite work for him......otherwise it would have been arcus-crafted full plate FTW.
Instead, its sarcasm and spite. Which are just as much fun, if not even MORE fun!
