Nat maneuvers her tiger to a place of readiness to charge in with her lance if need be when the door opens.

Male Human Expert 3

I moved Marcellino Wintrish up to the group.

The door is stuck as Braggom attempts to open it.

"Mind if i take a look at the lock?"

Cassandra pulls out her tools and starts on the lock.

She sees Braggom suddenly trying to slam down the door.

Male Human Expert 3

Braggom strains against the door and then feels a sudden surge of strength as Marcellino prays for strength and the door surges open. Inside there can be little doubt what purpose this chamber once served. The dank room stores an ancient rack, a fanciful brazen bull, an iron maiden, a cauldron, iron chairs with sharp edges and cruel protuberances, and a wooden table upon which sit various implements of torture. A bronze plaque affixed to the western wall depicts a crowing rooster above crossed spears. Underneath the spear, a short phrase is inscribed.

Confession cleanses the soul-- Pain clarifies the mind

Almost as soon as you enter a tiny black bird perched on the plague suddenly becomes visible as it utters "You look weary. Rest in one of the chairs provided here.” His words seem oddly honeyed.

Anyone can make a knowledge nature check on the creature, Anyone can make a spellcraft check, and Braggom needs to make a will save

The tiny black thing is the bird. I figured I'd make him the size he actually is, so you'll have to zoom in to see him most likely

Ronaef:
You identify the honeyed tones in the bird's words as a suggestion spell.

Nátulcien Ar-Feiniel :
While this is a fairly ordinary looking bird, you think perhaps some sort of transmutation magics have altered whatever it once was into this form.

As the bird flies up it continues shrieking in a shrill voice, “Greetings, fine citizens of our glorious empire! So good to have visitors, though I fear I have no refreshments to offer. I assume you are here for the treasure. Well, I’d be happy to assist, provided that you give me what I require! It has been so long since I was able to ply my trade. I require only that each of you shed your life’s blood in this room—simply take a seat in one of my lovely chairs.”

Braggoms shot misses the creature as it becomes visible in Ronaef's square. Ronaef's ray fails to go off as he cringes from the sting of the creature. Marcellino swings wildly. Cassandra's strikes true but the creature seems to be completely unaffected.
There was a surprise round for the creature as the party was unaware of its presence. I assume Braggom also took a move action up to the creature on his turn, dropping the bow and pulling his weapon.
The creature nimbly flies into Marcellino's square and brings his stinger to bear on the man, but he only feels the faint sting, and manages to shake off any other ill effects. Unfortunately the poison continues to course through Ronaef's veins as he takes feel ill once again.
