The Crypt where Ekat Kassen was laid to rest has become an important part of the town's history. This year a group of hand selected individuals have been chosen to venture to the crypt and retrieve the Everflame in time for the autumn celebration.

Hey Doug, any problems with me taking Varisian Tattoo (evocation) as my third level feat? Fluff wise, I'm thinking that Kerret got the tattoo, which stretches around his chest and back going over his shoulders, kind of like a very low collar, when he was studying at the Acadamae in Korvosa, and that all of the spell casting he's been doing has activated the magical matrix of the script. What do you think?

For new spells I'm thinking acid splash using my favored class alternate racial, mage armor as my bloodline, and vanish as the new spell known per regular class progression. Are these ok?


I have no problems with this. It looks like it all meets the criteria for the character creation guidelines.

Clearing out the top level depends on how we feel about time limit. Demiria is still out there. That said, we did just rest for 8 hours, so maybe our sense of time pressure isn't that big.

She could be on the top level, and we're not sure how to get that gate open yet. So I don't think it will hurt us to check, but I'm ok with skipping it if the rest don't want to.

Just so everybody knows, I'm going to be gone Feb. 15 - 18 and will not have any internets to make posts. I want to leave you guys in a situation where you can RP for a couple days rather than say, the middle of combat but I'm finding it hard to come up with something in the middle of a dungeon. Does anybody have any suggestions? Is there anything any one of you might have wanted to accomplish outside the storyline with a little extra time?

Glad to see the pace pick up again here everybody.

Did you realize that we will have been playing together for 1 year as of this time in April? That's only 2 months away. We're also really close to completing the module. there are just a few rooms left before we can move on to Masks of the Living God. I submit to you that we should make a team effort to complete Crypt of the Everflame before the end of April. I have some ideas I'd like to pitch for the next module but want to wait until this one is finished in its entirety before focusing on the next.

We rested in that fountain room, then we took out the zombies on the second level, then we went back up to the first level and took out the wooden statue of Kassen and got the individual rewards. Now we're back on the second level. I don't remember Vastar casting any spells, so I think he has a full complement. I remember one channel.

I've been hoping to finish this module before I had to leave, but unfortunately my deployment has been moved up and I fly out tomorrow. I'll most likely be unable to post until towards the end of July. My situation has not changed much as of yet. Just want to let you guys know that I am not going anywhere. Thanks for dealing with this so far but things might be slow for a while longer. I will not be dropping this game and have plans to take you guys up to at least level 8. Things just might progress at a terribly slow pace until I can get up to speed.

Thanks for checking in Doug. I'll wait to see what happens with Vastar's channel attempt before I revise my action. If I can keep that attack roll, I may just change my movement, depending on what happens.
