I'm also late 20's. Currently (but not for long) I am an interpreter at the Adirondack Museum and also a writer for a local outdoors magazine. My background is ecology and biology with a focus on botany. I like wine and disco-tech. :-)

Sky: Kids are a lot of work! I bet they love having you around. I'm only an uncle and I'm beat after spending a few hours with my nephew.
Drake: Try mating calls. Seems to work for me out in the ADK's, though the women are a bit hairier than usual. Not to mention the claws are longer and they often have ticks.
If errbody could read the section of Carroc's post that says ALL PLAYERS PLEASE READ, that'd be great. That's info for all of ya'll to digest.

Anyway, I am actually 32. I spent 6 years in the Air Force where I lived for 2 years in Japan, 2 years in England, and a year in Norway. Im once again a civilian and back in the states working for my stepdads business. I love college football with a passion (you probably wont be seeing many posts from me on Saturdays for the next 3-4 months), and while I especially love my particular team (the Georgia Bulldogs), I just enjoy the sport as a whole.
I started RPGs with 2nd Edition AD&D when I was 19, it became another passion of mine (I can still fondly remember a couple 18-24 hour sessions we had back then), and have loved all things D&D ever since (sans 4E). I played EQ back in the day, and then WoW for a few years, but haven't really touched an MMO in the last 4 years (although I do sporadically hop on Project 1999, a free classic EQ emulation server). The Baldurs Gate series is probably my all time favorite computer RPG, and Final Fantasy 3/6 is my favorite in that series (followed closely by 2/4 and 7).
I think that about covers my bio and geek attributes. ;)
Ok, I'm the old fart, though my father plays in my primary game, Shards of the Titanswar. I'm a 53 year-old computer geek who started with white box D&D in '77.
Btw GM, the Path of War stuff is now up on the PFSRD, just in case you want to peruse at your leisure.
Drake: Nice! I envy those who have served. Never could do it myself, but I like to think I take inspiration from those willing to give up their rights in service of other people.
FF and Baldur's Gate are huge influences for me as well. To the woes of some, FF8 is one of my favorites until you get to the fourth disc. Haha.

I started d&d when I was 8 and found a Basic 2nd ed box in my mom's bookshelf.
I wish I played when I was younger. Didn't start until late high school with 3.5. Best campaign ever, though. We actually finished it, too. My character became the emperor of an entire planet and he was a half-elf, pot-headed, bard.
I made a glossary section for you guys to refer to as I molest you all with details about the setting. It will be gradually updated as we encounter new vocabulary particular to the game. Words in gameplay that I place an * on will be updated to the glossary.
Prepare for delays. I need to figure out how to get my internet working at my new place, so I may not get posts in today and definitely not tomorrow because I'll be heading to Myrtle Beach. Hopefully at night during my vacation I can post if my family remembers to bring their laptop. If not, I will post from my kindlefire, as difficult as that is. God damn touch-screens...

Normally 24(26 with Grapple), but with the Str from berserking and penalty, 23/25, and only 17 with the stance he's taken.

Hey guys. Just wanted to update you. I know it's been a while. Been busy job hunting and what little time I have left at my current job has actually given me things to work on. The game is still on for me but I understand if anyone wants to bow out because of infrequent posts. I honestly might not be able to actually post until sometime next week. Maybe I can post Sunday but there are no guarantees because I have to start moving out as well. Apologies all around.

Well i am back form my vacations and slowly catching up to things both here and IRL :)
I don't know on the one hand it's slower so my current life situation isn't interfering as much...on the other hand it's going slow enough that I'm forgetting about it.

If I have not mentioned it before, DC's and AC's are beaten when they are greater than or equal to the die roll. I think I may have mentioned before that DC's can be matched and beaten and AC's would have to beaten with a greater value. I looked up the official rules so I figured I would go that route.
