Valt Skyddade |

Valt values the situation, and then decides to try and daze one of the two gremlies on the front, while comanding Iophiel.
Celestial:
A tunel fight with tiny creatures that made it his home is not the best thing to do, lets be cautious.

Valt Skyddade |

what? technology of pants? must be something I lost in translation

Alexis Ravani |

Alexis starts to sing again, inspiring her comrades.
+1 to hit and damage

GM Demonmoose |

Passing Nyssa. She may act twice in Round 2.
Phase 1
Alexis, Nyssa, Kraig, Iophiel
Phase 2
Gremlins
Phase 3
Gavin, Aurusk, Valt
The gremlins dance about with quick movements as they close the distance to the group. The creatures in front move into Kraig's space and stab at his legs with their tiny short swords.
Kraig Opportunity : 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 1 = 17
Stab Kraig: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 171d3 - 4 ⇒ (2) - 4 = -2
Stab Kraig: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 221d3 - 4 ⇒ (2) - 4 = -2
Kraig swings at the incoming gremlins but they easily dodge out of the way. They poke at his legs but it doesn't seem to hurt other than irritate the brawler.
Iophiel Opportunity: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 = 12
Valt Opportunity: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 201d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Iophiel swings a claw and Valt tries to stab at the gremlin with his swordcane, but the angelic eidolon misses. Valt's sword grazes the gremlin but as it does so, a green shield surrounds the creature and ephemeral leaves appear. His attack seems to be negated.
Stab Valt with Sneak Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d3 - 4 ⇒ (1) - 4 = -31d6 ⇒ 6
Confirm Crit on Valt: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
I think I double just the roll on this critical, so its (2)-4+4 = 2 damage to Valt, otherwise the crit deals less damage.
The gremlin's short sword pierces through Gavin's thigh, like a large needle.
Round 2. Phase 1. Aurusk may act. Along with Alexis, Nyssa, Kraig and Iophiel. Nyssa may act twice. The gremlins are in Kraig and Valt's sqaures and affect ranged attacks as they are in melee. Melee attacks against them are normal, however flanking requires you to be on opposite sides of Kraig and Valt.

Nyssa Veshane |

Nyssa draws the patterned steel blade from the scabbard on her back. In the same motion, she strikes at one of the gremlins bothering Kraig.
Alexis' music seems to guide her aim as she attacks.
Longsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Shifting her feet as she attacks, Nyssa lets her sword sweep around, from the other direction this time; to strike again.
"Hah!"
Longsword(2nd round): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
I assume 2nd attack is a miss.

Valt Skyddade |

Iophiel readied action:
As the Gremlin approaches, the angelic figure moves his hands like if the where blades, swinging the tiny figure as move it through Iophiel.
Attack1: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 1 = 13
Damage1: 1d4 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 = 7
Attack2: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10
Damage2: 1d4 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6
Valt, seeing he is being pushed around by the tiny pest, tries to cast while defends against it, mantaining its concentration.
Concentration check vs DC 15 for casting daze defensively to one of the Kraig gremlins
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Aurusk "Demonscarred" |

Aurusk starts as he sees the creatures beginning to attack his friends. He considers his glaive, but shakes his head, Too close. He reaches out, attempting to touch the gremlin, मैं दर्द दण्ड देना होगा. His hand glows with a dark energy.
Cast Inflict Light Wounds.
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

GM Demonmoose |

My internet sometimes doesn't cooperate. It is pretty annoying right now.
Iophiel swings at the gremlin with radiant claws. As she cuts into the creature, no blood remains on her fingers. A long gash appears on the gremlin's chest, but it remains standing and defiant.
I rolled already but it didn't save... I'll use those results since they were better than what you rolled.
Nyssa cleaves down into the gremlin. It raises a hand to block, glowing green light and leaves appearing for a moment, but her slash is too sharp, too clean. Blood splashes from the gremlin. It twitches before it falls to the ground.
Save against Daze: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
The gremlin looks up at the cavern ceiling for a moment, forgetting what it is doing, then looks back down and remembers.
Aurusk stoops lower and reaches out his glowing hand to the creature, and while it is distracted by Iophiel and Valt, he manages to touch it. Dark energy engulfs the creature and it shrieks in pain as it dies.
There is one gremlin remaining by Kraig. Round 3: Phase 1, Alexis, Nyssa, Kraig and Iophiel may act.

Alexis Ravani |

Alexis summons the magic from within, and strikes at one of the beasties near kraig.
rapier: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
and misses completely

Nyssa Veshane |

Nyssa adds her left hand to the hilt of her sword, giving her swing improved precision. Then she slashes the razor-sharp tip of the blade at the pesky gremlin.
Longsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

GM Demonmoose |

You move further north through another passage until you find a larger cavern.
Several different passageways converge on a narrow ledge overlooking a rubble-filled cavern. The far wall is made of a smooth, dark gray metal. A single circular door, tightly closed, sits on the metal wall just above the upper level of the rubble.
A slightly larger green-skinned gremlin is sharpening a foot long metal spike with a tiny short sword. He is standing behind an area of metal debris, watching as you enter.
"Who are you? What you want?" He speaks in broken Common, the words are foreign on his tongue.
Two regular gremlins are hiding behind the northwestern part of the cave.

Nyssa Veshane |

Nyssa had put her blade away, after wiping the nasty gremlin ichor off it. She eyes the gremlin leader with outright distrust.
"Who are you? And what do you want?"
Nyssa reaches back and unslings her longbow from her back. Wary from previous experience, the suli suspects that the room is riddled with pratfalls.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
I had a Nyssa #2 on Herolab, looking at multi-class options. I didn't notice that that one was the one up. Her attack numbers were never 1d20+6. Should have always been 1d20+5. Or +4 without the bardic inspiration.
I deleted the Nyssa #2, so that won't happen again. I'm a little embarrassed.

Alexis Ravani |

Alexis looks at the gremlim. not a lot. Just your unconditional surrender
She holds her glowing sword up as she does this.

GM Demonmoose |

Nyssa doesn't see any traps or artificial dangers.
"Jazvit is leader of gremlins. We like to break things."
He motions at the broken machinery scattered about the cavern.
"What you mean 'unconditional surrender'?" He scratches his ears and pulls out a white tuft of fur. It doesn't seem like he knows what Alexis' words mean.
The boss gremlin frowns. "You want to fight?"

Valt Skyddade |

After understanding the meaning of the Nyssa and Alexis are having with the little pest, Valt decides that perhaps is best to avoid fighting, so any of his partners is going to be hurt again, like himself.
Hallit: Alexis, I want to ask you to use your best manners and try to get a peace treaty with them.
We showed enough ability taking down three of them already, so play the intimidation card the least for now, or we risk another usseles fray. We are here with another objective in mind, find and rescue Khonnir, not to be used as pest control.
Still need a couple more classes of Taldane to dare myself.

Kraig Forge-Hammer |

I'm busy the next few days, I'll still be around but feel free to npc me if needed.
Hallit: You guys are so aggressive. Maybe the green ones are more friendly.
Common: "We come from the dry lands beyond the great water wall seeking civilizations to trade with! We also killed your friends on accident."
Diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19

Alexis Ravani |

Alexis says
Alexis stays watchful, and keeps her peace, for now.

GM Demonmoose |

The boss gremlin shakes his head.
"Jazvit doesn't like people that talk words Jazvit doesn't know. You trying to trick me?! Time for talk is done. Now it time to see if you break."
He motions to the other gremlins and points his sword at you.
Alexis's Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Nyssa's Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Gavin' Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Aurusk's Initiative: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
Valt's Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
Kraig's Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Iophiel's Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Gremlin’s Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Phase 1
Kraig, Iophiel, Nyssa, Gavin
Phase 2
Gremlins
Phase 3
Valt, Alexis, Aurusk
Kraig rushes through the piles of debris to the boss gremlin and swings his fists downward.
"I'm not gonna trust any of you cave dwellers again. I was trying to be nice, but I guess you just want my fist in your face." He says as he runs towards Jazvit.
Punch Gremlin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
The boss gremlin dodges and grins at the brawler.
Phase 1. Iophiel, Nyssa and Gavin's turn.

GM Demonmoose |

Nyssa's crit confirmation: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 3 - 4 = 17
Gremlin boss if flatfooted.
Nyssa's extra crit dice: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 7) = 15
Wow.
Nyssa's arrow flies into the gremlin's eye. You see a green glow appear around Jazvit, translucent magical emerald leaves form around the wound. However, Nyssa's attack was too precise.
The creature slumps to the ground dead.
Dark magic surrounds the other gremlins in the room, and within a few seconds they vanish.
Battle is over.

Valt Skyddade |

Valt, from the rear, asks about the few noises.
Hallit: Uh? What happened? is it all right?
THAT was quick. :D

Kraig Forge-Hammer |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Kraig spins on his heel and throws a waterskin at Nyssa. "You guys suck! I'm trying to invent the Silk Road here and you guys are murdering potential clients left and right! I was gonna offer them these shiny objects we found, now I look like an idiot for carrying a bunch of shiny objects around for no reason."
Kraig sighs heavily and shakes his head.
Perception to look around: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Nyssa Veshane |

Nyssa shrugs. "Unless you want to own a world of hurt, there's not much point in dealing with Gremlins."
She gives Kraig a look, and leaves his waterskin on the ground.
Totally missed that I rolled a natural 20. Was just happy thinking: Oooh, a 19, that should hit!

Kraig Forge-Hammer |

It was a good shot:)
"Look here guys, there's some stuff to steal from the dead. They're murdered, so they won't mind. I believe this is your area of expertise, detective?" Kraig hands the potions to Gavin. "I guess we'll just put this gold down as 'miscellaneous income.' Hope they don't check our books too closely."

Nyssa Veshane |

"You agreed to destroy these gremlins Kraig. You promised Sef that you would."
Nyssa pauses for effect, the tiniest hint of a smile on her lips. "You swore by your beard as I recall..."

Alexis Ravani |

Alexis looks around be careful. Gremlins are nasty ones, and can come back.
She moves over to the dead gremlin, and casts detect magic, examining it. Then she picks it up.
This will be proof we fought them. Kraig we agreed to a task, to remove these creatures. I wouldn;t be surprised to find them troubling the town above. There is no silk road here.
Demonmoose, I am assuming these things are light. If not I'll drop it.

GM Demonmoose |

You can't find any physical trace left of the gremlins. They seem to be gone.
The corpse of the boss gremlin no longer has any magic within it. There are residual traces of teleportation magic that surrounds the creature, though it is very old and faint.
Alexis picks up the green gremlin corpse. It weighs about 15 lbs.
