Kraig hoists himself out of the water and tries to smooth the polluted water out of his hair and beard. "Bah! They didn't say it was poison water. You two OK? Yall look a little off." He pulls a wineskin of mead from his bag and takes a swig, then offers it to his friends with a shrug. "Always makes me feel better." He looks to the wall, the only apparent way to move forward without going back in the water. "I hope they had a good reason not to leave a damn rope for the rescue teams rescue team. I'll try to get up while you all catch your breath." He approaches the wall, rolling his shoulders and hopping about a bit to warm his muscles from the cold water before attempting to defeat the wall.

Kraig easily pulls himself up onto the ledge. He has to stoop because of the low ceiling. It is not very comfortable.

Aurusk coughs and sputters as he comes out of the pool. He waits for everyone to come through then, he pulls out a candle, he mutters a few words, reaching into a pouch at his side and the candle suddenly sheds light, much brighter than most. Though as you look closer, you can see the light is actually coming from the wax part and not a fire on the wick.
No Alexis. We know this pond is foul. We would never drink from it.
Aurusk makes his way over to the ledge and follows Kraig up.
I'll take a 10 on my climb for 12.

Nyssa Veshane |

"Yeah, no problem." Nyssa reaches down with her gloved hand to give Gavin a pull up.

A collection of stalactites and stalagmites choke this lowceilinged cavern, making it difficult to squeeze between them. Hallit: Hey people, sure you all can continue, our you need a little rest?
But being that close to that foul water is not doing any well for us, we can do it at the other side better.

GM Demonmoose |

When you move further into the cave, through the maw of stalactites and stalagmites, you come into another "room."
A dark cavern opens up here, its twenty-foot-high ceiling thick with stalactites. A rocky shore overlooks a placid pool and stream, fed by a trickle of water leaking from a narrow fissure to the north. A small garden of toadstools and dark mold grows along the banks.
A small frog-like creature with a leather hood over its head is standing by the water watching you with unblinking white eyes. Its croak echoes as you approach.

Nyssa feels dizzy and nauseated. She hopes the frog-creature is not hostile. It will be tough to fight feeling so ill.
"Why don't you ask it?"
Nyssa shrugs. It couldn't hurt, could it?

Aurusk "Demonscarred" |

Cue the slightly oblivious half-orc!
Aurusk nearly runs into Gavin as the man stops, Wha-? Then he finally sees the creature that everyone's been staring at. Oh. Hello there. Do you need help, he asks moving around Gavin to approach a little closer. We saw a half-orc up there who hadn't had much luck. Are you okay?

Aurusk "Demonscarred" |

Aurusk shields his eyes at the bright burst of light. Now what was that for? Aurusk approaches the creature, glaive held out threateningly. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to stay still. If you need help, you should talk to us.

Valt was going to open a portal, ready to bring some backup in case of fight, when suddenly, a flash of light hits his eyes.
Hallit:My eyes, can't see nothing! Any of you can see?

Nyssa crouches down and listens; maybe the thing makes slappy, wet frog steps when it moves. Everyone in her group had shoes on right? Nyssa really hadn't been paying that much attention.

I can't see Alexis rubs her eyes with her free hand.
She then focuses on defense. (full defense)

GM Demonmoose |

Adjustment: The eagle strikes the entangled frog, digging its talons into its flesh. 3 damage.
Gavin moves in, stabs at the creature with his sword cane, and feels a bubble of nausea form in his stomach. Clutching his belly with the room spinning slightly around him, the investigator misses the frog, and nearly falls. He catches himself at the last moment.
