Dervak feels his mind slipping away but Mara's chanting helps him find his center and fight the mental intrusion.

The Yellow King casts a spell and an obvious illusion of a fiend appears in front of him. He commands it, "Defenestrate me foul creature conjured from the pit." The illusion does not throw him through a nearby window but stands there snarling at anything that comes nearby.

Yes moon-beasts are amorphous and so immune to crits and precision damage.

Dervak slices through the tentacle faced-jailer's tough hide but Kat has a harder time penetrating with her spear. It floats upwards towards the ceiling and over one of the destroyed torture devices. Perhaps trying for easier prey.

Kat is able to fend off fully half of the creature's assaults but unfortunately it grasps her head with the pink tentacles sprouting from its snout. In addition to leaving nasty bruises and fracturing her skull she feels pieces of her mind being sliced off and consumed by the frog-like monster. The creature visible heals.

Mara continued chanting and slowly followed Dervak, ready to use her scroll in case the Moon-Beast took control of his mind. Without any other productive action available, she concentrated, causing her form to waver.

Move Action: Chant, 5 ft step, Standard Action: Time Flicker (Blur). Not reading the scroll right now, because she would provoke an AoO; she can't attack with her weapon because she's holding the scroll in one hand.

I presume that Kat isn't grappled by the Moon-Beast. If she is, or if it is latched on in any way, Mara will cast Liberating Command.

She is not grappled, just some fluff for the wisdom drain off the tentacle rend.

I don't believe you get flanking if its 5ft up. It doesn't change the result in any case.

Dervak slashes the Moon-beast again hoping to deter it from devouring Kat's mind. Theo's spell dispels none of the magic that is flying through the room.

Action is to Kat.

You are able to tweak tiny variables affecting a creature’s immediate future in order to grant the target a bit of luck at the right time. Roll a d20; once during the duration of lucky number, when the target creature rolls that result (regardless of what type of dice the target rolls), the creature has the option to either reroll the result or add a +2 luck bonus to the result. The creature must decide to use this ability before the success or failure of the original roll is known. A creature can have only one lucky number at a time. If lucky number is cast on a creature already affected by that spell, the new number replaces the previous one.

"Nice going, Kat. Is your head okay?
We should get out of here. I suppose we should look for valuables in case we have to do anything else in the Dreamlands.
Theophilus should take the Yellow King out of here and to the Shantak. I can go with them in case there is trouble.
Mara and Kat can wake up, then do the ritual to meet us back at the Caravanserai?"

Dervak is not thrilled at doing the occult ritual any more than he needs to, but will accompany Kat and Mara to the waking world if they request it of him.

Now in the right thread

Heading up the stairs one level:

Metal pipes and horns protrude from the floor in a cluster at the center of this room, bent in multiple directions as though to blast noise throughout the room. The walls of the room are carved with realistic maps of the Dreamlands as seen from the high vantage point of the moon, although all of the carvings have been scratched and smeared with blood. In a few places you can see markers in Aklo for Celephais, Sarnath, and the Oukranos River.

Through the door in the pipe room:

Several unusual musical instruments hang on hooks in this room: oddly shaped harps, irregularly angled woodwinds, and stringed boards.

After rendezvousing back at the forsaken caravanserai the sun is back up and it beats down angrily on the partially destroyed building. Rowan takes a swig from his ever full flask. You get the sense that the journey ahead might be the last time you see the Yellow King for some time.

I want to give Kat some time to ask any questions she has for Lowl's dream splinter before we move ahead. You were able to rest which makes this day 64 of your journey.

Mara might want to cast Restoration here in the Dreamlands to heal Kat's Wisdom drain. I hadn't realized Kat's Wisdom was only an 8, so it is a 5 right now...

Dervak says farewell to the Shantak as it drops them back at the Forsaken Caravanserai. "Thank you for your assistance, Shantak."

He looks at the drinks the Yellow King has made. "Thank you, I will have one." Dervak takes a gourd with its little umbrella and looks for an awning, a tree, or even just a wall providing a little bit of shade. He invite Rowan and any others who want to come sit and have a drink with him while Kat seeks answers.
