"Working on it, bruv." Kat's pop as Rowan is absolutely obliterated. She throws everything she has at finishing off "Nightmara."
Kat's first attack will be from invisibility, so Nightmara will be flatfooted and Kat gets an extra +2 to attack her

Beneath his skin Kat she can see something moving, like tiny mouths hungrily gnawing but unable to part their lips. She stabs and he catches the spear with his hand just below spearhead and redirects it towards nothing. She stabs again but it crashes against his mithral breastplate harmlessly. Before "Dervak" can retaliate Kat disappears and reappears a short distance away.

"He's hoping I will get in range of his hexes, I think."
Dervak draws and casts his scroll of Cat's Grace and takes a 5' step to the SW.
He is calm as he does this, in his controlled rage. The battle against their shadow-selves may be beyond them, but if he maintains his focus there might be a chance of victory. That means not charging in blindly. He hopes he has chosen well.

Kat weighs her options as she studies the massive Nightmare Dervak. She finally decides that the best option is to hit and run, as to avoid getting a swarm of attacks like Rowan.
Primary Attack with Merciful Adamantine Longspear (studied combat, heroism, haste, power attack, shaken): 1d20 + 11 + 4 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 4 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 20
Six is Kat's luck number, so she will reroll that
Lucky Number Reroll: 1d20 + 11 + 4 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 11 + 4 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 30
Primary Damage (studied combat, power attack, merciful): 1d8 + 6 + 4 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 4 + 6 + (6) = 30
She then retreats back towards Dervak and the others, discretely drawing a tanglefoot bag along the way.
I'm assuming Nightmare Dervak will take an AoO, which she will snake style
Snake Style vs AoO: 1d20 + 27 + 1d6 ⇒ (12) + 27 + (6) = 45

A stream of glittering stardust surrounded Nightmare Dervak, as he came withing range.
By my calculation, evil Dervak is within 27 ft of Mara — (10^2 + 20^2 + 15^2)^0.5.
But then, as she was admiring her work, she was injured by a bolt of dark energy.
Mara can make Dervak fly on her next turn (which should be just before evil Dervak's turn).
| Dervak |
Lucky Number grants a Luck bonus of +2 (which is +3 with Fate's Favored), but Dervak already has a +3 Luck bonus on saves from his Bloodrage, and luck bonuses don't stack. I guess he'll reroll.
Lucky Number Reroll: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
It looks like if Dervak took a 5' step NW, he and Nightmare Dervak would still be 20' apart (well, 18', but four squares). Too far even with Pugnacious to increase reach to 15'.
Dervak would have to move 10' to attack with Pugnacious, which means only a single attack. That's not going to be enough, and he'd be facing a full attack in response.
So he will instead cast True Strike.
@Mara, I think there is some question about being able to use scrolls while invisible, but one option is to draw, unroll, and drop the scroll, then read it when it is on the ground.

@Mara, I think there is some question about being able to use scrolls while invisible, but one option is to draw, unroll, and drop the scroll, then read it when it is on the ground.
Barring an FAQ or comment from one of the developers I'm going to say you can see yourself and your equipment while invisible. So using a scroll isn't a problem.

Shaking his now more wild hair about, the Witch blinks his blue eyes back open.
How gross! Using Evocation spells as if we were a wizard! Shame on myself!
Theo then whispers
D-door?

"Not yet, Theophilus."
I wish I had thought of that - Theo could have moved Dervak into position for a full attack with D-Door. But having already taken my turn, it wouldn't help this round. Maybe Fortune hex? Or ready a Dispel?
| Theophilus Carter |
Theophilus looks at each of his Friends. He looks to the White Rabbit for confirmation. The White Rabbit shrugs.
Whomever has not been Fortune Hex by me today, raise your hand...

Yes, bite attack was at +16 vs +23 on falchion. The difference is the -5 for using bite as a secondary attack and no +2 from furious falchion.
See Falling Damage if something bad happens!
The slow descent happens only if its dispelled or the spell duration ends and you're still flying. You still need to be conscious to maintain flight.
Edit: Yes you rested since the last fight. But you would have taken backlash damage from the ritual. Not sure if anyone healed the backlash after arriving.
