Awesome, glad you're enjoying the new place!
Work has been a pain the past couple of days and I like being rested when trying to get into the head of a new character so I may not be able to get up a decent post until tomorrow evening or Monday evening.
In case anyone in shared games was wondering 'Y U POST THERE BUT NO POST HERE?' :P

That's quite a good comparison to their clothing styles :)
I am likely to change the whole 'hooded white robe' thing as it was a 'quick grab' whilst I tried to think of something to give Midnight some concealment from everyday eyes, but on second thought I think it's likely more visually striking than intended and would draw more attention not less!
Currently hunting for some inspiration that is 'flattering to the female form' but not 'stripperiffic'!

My first thought was Mystique but she always did wear pretty revealing costumes. Can't see that skimpy white number stopping any bullets!

            Hi all :)
I'm at a conference in Auckland this week so posting may be slower than usual, I will do my best!
Back in business at the weekend though :)

Ah, I got fame confused with resource points. I was wondering how being known in the public eye was going to help us procure better equipment.
Interesting, so there is an element of keeping a good public persona.

            FAME
Fame represents how the general public perceives you, whether positively or negatively. This perception precedes you, speaking on your behalf when you are absent and determining how you can expect to be treated by those who have heard of you.
You gain Fame when word of your deeds spreads. If you are able to establish a strong or noteworthy reputation, you may be extolled for your actions and afforded resources beyond those obtainable by lesser-known individuals. Similarly, you can use your reputation to influence people socially, politically, and financially.
You begin play with a Fame equal to your character level + your Charisma modifier. Your Fame ranges from 0 to 100. Through the course of the campaign, your words and deeds help you build a reputation. Though a hero performs many deeds, not all are significant enough to warrant a change in Fame and this is left to the GM’s discretion.
There are different levels of Fame that you can achieve and at each level different rewards become available and can be purchased with Resource Points.
So you can either use your resource points to buy gear or for the sometimes less tangible benefits that Fame Rewards offer.
For example - at Fame level 1, you can spend 1 Resource Point to gain Heroes' Luck - You gain a +4 luck bonus on a single skill check. You must use this award before you attempt the check in question. This bonus needs to be used before you reach the next Fame level (which would be 10)
Full details can be found here.

I might have missed it in the players guide, but does everyone have techcraft and knowledge meta as class skills?

So I get that supers and aliens are now a certainty for the general population, but would tribes or gangs of aliens still shock people? Are they relatively out in the open?

It's only been about 4 years since they started arriving.
So they are generally part of society but still pretty unusual. Probably accounting for about 10% of society.
You'd still get people pointing etc when they pass by and it would be pretty uncommon - but not completely unheard of - to see an alien working as a barrister in Starbucks or something.
........
As an aside, the Accords that sought to register superheroes failed largely due to the actions of captain america but also because a lot of government resources are dedicated to registering, vetting and monitoring these alien entities.
There are also going to be camps and areas segregated for certain races in some states/other countries - think District 9

Was trying for an alien-sounding holiday, YMMV as to how effective that was ;p

            Everyone may LEVEL UP!
You also gain 1 Resource Point (equivalent to 375gp) and 1 Fame Point
These are an abstract that can represent anything from earnings from a business or job held by the heroes when they are not fighting crime, to personal wealth, connections to the black market underworld, government backing or any number of other things.
Each RP is generally valued to the equivalent of 375gp although heroes may petition the GM to increase that value in certain circumstances. For example, a White E-pick (an item from the PF Technology Guide that grants a +2 competence bonus on Disable Device checks against electronic devices) costs 400gp. If a hero wished to acquire this but only had one RP to spend, it would be at the GM’s discretion to allow it or not and the GM may call for additional checks or roleplay in order to obtain it.
Resource points can also be used to buy other boons that are dependant on Fame.
For example, at Fame 1, as a one-user ability, you could obtain;
Hero's Luck (1 RP): You gain a +4 luck bonus on a single skill check. You must use this award before you attempt the check in question.

            Also, in almost all my games I take the opportunity at this juncture to sound out my players on a number of things;
-How are you enjoying the game so far? (or maybe that should be are you enjoying it at all!)
-What's working well?
-What could be done better? (the actual plot of this game hasn't really started yet although there will be the first clues to it in Dragon's Lair). These first few scenes have been around grounding the game in the world and introducing you to eachother as well as a bit of an extended playtest of your final characters).
-And finally if there is anything you would like to change about your character - class, stats, feats, spell choices, archetypes etc then please feel free to do so as part of your level up process
Thanks!

Traveling tomorrow, so I'll be out of pocket.
I do want to say that I'm enjoying the game. The liberal reskinning is funand I'm eager to see what you have in store for us.

Huzzah for Levels! I'll get C's stuff posted a bit later (got a lot of catching up to do in my games today) but I'll answer the questions now:
(1) Having fun?
Yep! I'm still getting used to playing in a modern, real-world sort of setting (something that doesn't happen often for me) and feeling out C's character but I'm enjoying it :)
(2) What works?
Hmm...so far, it seems like everything is more or less working well. The 'bosss' enemies have been suitably challenging and the thugs too, when they get lucky with those guns.
(3) What needs improvement?
I can't really say at this point. I kinda figured that we were doing some 'basic' little jaunts to ease people into the setting and such, so everything seems to be panning out as intended.
(4) Changes?
We'll see! I think C's setup is one that may take a few levels before really catching fire, but hopefully she'll still be useful to the rest of the team until that happens.
