With Serila’s magical lights floating above the Barbarian lighting his way the group makes their way back through the trap room and turns the corner just after the headless corpse.
An evil hiss rises from the darkness ahead. A floating dwarven form shrouded in full plate rounds the corner. The air about this dwarven specter shimmers eerily, and the walls and floor sizzle and smoke where it passes. The thing’s boots scorn the earth, gliding a full foot above the masonry floor. Through stories you have heard you know that gelatinous cubes are very hard to kill but if you need to kill one slashing weapons work better against them. Oozes like this one have many immunities, one that you know about is poison. It often tries to engulf it's prey, if it can not it lashes out with an arm like appendage to slam. Both attacks will paralyze the target if hit.

As the group turns around to move back south toward the circular trapped room a loud bang can be heard. As they approach the trapped chamber they see that the double doors leading into the room are closed. A low hum can be heard thru the doors.

Roo moved us on the map looking into room 3, but it sounds like that plan might not work from the last post we were blocked from going toward through the trapped room meaning we are east of room 7 looking at a closed door unable to go any further backtracking. Just wanted to confirm.

There are not traps on the door. From being in the room earlier you guess that something has tripped the magnetic trap within. The door is being held closed by the obelisk inside the room.
