Auxavier Atredies |
Just to let everyone know. I have purchased and read a lot of the Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat. If you would like to use any thing out of those books please let me know. I will approve things on a case by case basis.
I would like to stick to the core classes as much as possible. If there is an ability that you would really like you character to have let me know and we can work out how we can adjust your character to make it work. Nothing to crazy thou and please think of a role playing reason for your character to have the ability.
Thanks
I think this trait it a better fit...
City-Raised: Half-orcs with this trait know little of their orc ancestry and were raised among humans and other half-orcs in a large city. City-raised half-orcs are proficient with whips and longswords, and receive a +2 racial bonus on Knowledge (local) checks. This racial trait replaces weapon familiarity.
As far as paladin goes the only archetype I would consider is redeemer.

I like both of those changes if you would like to.

As far as running Darkmoon Vale as a campaign furthest I have considered is using the modules I have and going into a modified version of Kingmaker letting the PCs carve the vale from what it is into an independent kingdom...
....Making their enemies the lumber consortium, some other groups within the vale and what KM has to offer....
DM Giants |
How many arrows and quarrels would the silver chess set yield if they were taken to the fletcher? :)
10 arrow heads
Bhoors Thistledown |
Is that worth more than selling it out right.
DM Giants |
I have added Lost Kids to the NPC's of the Campaign Info Thread. Please read this for more information about the children.
DM Giants |

It's right about the same. It will take some time to make the chest set into arrow heads but unlike Alchemical Silvered arrow you will not have a -1 damage.

Cool just take it off the Treasure Tab from the Player Tracker Spreadsheet.
Auxavier Atredies |
Looks like we need to get the temple to identify a few items for us and change around the distribution of stuff once we know what it is...
...A priority before we set out again...
Bhoors Thistledown |
LOL. Who is the person my cousin is hugging. Sounds like either I should know her too or punch him for holding out on news.
Bhoors Thistledown |
Nice.
So you have never spoke about her?
Serila Gudlinck |
Well likely not, but actually, I only got a heads up on the new PC a little before her appearance....
Hi everyone!
I'm Stephan. I played Serila in a previous Falcon's Hollow game DM Giants ran, but which stop due to circumstances. She died in the dwarven monastery back then, and rejoined the game the same way as she just did in this game. We didn't get much farther than that.
I plan to progress Serila as a sorceress, but she's got a couple of healing tricks up her sleeves. She's also going to improve on Diplomacy, which she's currently got a +12 bonus on.
Below is some info you may or may not know. I've understood Auxavier and Serila know each other, so he probably knows more than others. Others from Falcon's Hollow will at least have heard of the Gudlinck merchant family, even if they don't know their daughter personally.
Ever since Serila's entered adulthood she's joined her parents on business trips on several occasions. Serila herself has acquired some haggling skills during these trips, but she discovered being the daughter of two successful merchants of the Lumber Consortium opens doors as well.
During one of the business trips Serila went on with her parents, they went to a town far in the west. The mayor of the town had fallen ill and Serila offered to heal him. After healing the mayor a few townsfolk offered Serila a place as the town's healer, but she refused. The townsfolk were offended and attacked Serila, who could barely escape the town with her parents. This incident caused Serila to frequently mistrust the intentions of other people. Still, being the kind soul she is, Serila wishes to help people whenever she can.
However, a recent situation left Serila with some mental scars. During one of the business trips Serila went on with her parents, she was attacked by some of the townsfolk. The reason she was attacked was that she declined an offer to become the town's healer. Confused by how her attempts to help other people caused her to be attacked, Serila became somewhat afraid to accept help she may need herself. The incident caused Serila to have a hard time getting to trust others.
Still, being the kind soul she is, Serila continues to help ill people whenever they need help. When people show their gratitude for Serila's help, it makes her feel a little better. This causes Serila to hope that her fears may one day disappear, if only she continues to be herself and help others.
Serila wears a light brown shirt with yellow borders. The shirt itself is sleeveless, but Serila wears separated light brown sleeves with yellow borders on her lower arms. She wears a light brown skirt with yellow borders that reaches halfway her upper legs, with a sturdy light brown belt as an accessory. Serila also wears high leather boots, also light brown in color. To protect herself against the weather and for storing items, Serila wears a khaki cloak.
Serila Gudlinck |
Thank you! I look forward to playing with you!
Ruthviren Etiole |
Welcome to the game! Looking forward to more adventure!
That said, I may be somewhat spotty on the boards for a day or two. Please don't let me hold things back.
DM Giants |
We for the next few days we will be getting the treasure allocated out to everyone and everyone will need to level up to 2nd Level.
@Serila I will start you at the beginning of 2nd level so you stay with the group.
I will be on vacation from Dec. 19th to Jan. 3rd and will only be able to post on the phone. Please role play among yourself's during this time. I will try to have the treasure worked out before I leave and have some guidelines of what is available for purchases in Falcon's Hollow. Then you guys can role play shopping in town if you would like.
Also during the break please read the Campaign Info thread as I have made some big changes and try to think of some ideas about side quests and how you would like your character to affect the town as a whole.
I am very excited to be continuing this campaign. Let's have some fun.
Have a Happy Holiday guys.

DM Giants |
Also if you would like to make changes to your character do it now. I have added the following books as usable resources: Ultimate Combat, Ultimate Magic, Advanced Players Guide.
All changes will be on a case by case basis so please let me know what you want to change and I will look it over before I give the OK.
Thanks

Awesome. I already got my racial trait and archetype approved.
Do we roll, average or some other method for hit points?
Ruthviren Etiole |
Ding! Woot! Gratz!
I don't think Roo is going to branch out much. He'll largely continue to concentrate on hitting things with dangerous objects.
DM Giants |
Hit Points will be Roll and if the Roll is lower then the Average then you take the Average. I do this because I am a very aggressive DM with combat and the PbP format does not allow me to fudge rolls a well when I need to.
DM Giants |
1d10
So 5 it is!
Don't forget your +1 for Con
DM Giants |
OK who would like to be in charge of tracking loot with me?
DM Giants |

50 feet of silk rope
Silver chess set
Hammer

Auxavier Atredies |
I opened the tracking sheet link and got to it and tried to deduct 3 gold, but I couldn't do it.
Scrolls?
Potions Bhoors and/or Farid? Will we be losing our camp follower?
I would love the magic handaxe, but that is not fair.
The prayer book of evil. the temple for proper disposal.
The chess set, I wanted to keep the board and carve (or have carved) wooden replacement pieces....hey that one kid can do the job!
The silver torture implements....either give to sheriff or see about melting down for a new weapon.
I thought I took the hammer, scroll case and small hunting trap.
trap plan is to set/bait it overnights....

Yes the group will lose the camp follower.
Ahh forgot about the Silver torture implements. They are MW Silver Daggers which you can use or you can have them melted down to make any of the weapons below:
Dagger
Light Mace
Spear or Javelin
Arrow Heads (20)
Sling Balls (10)
Crossbow Bolts (20)
Darts (10)
Hand Axe Head
Shield or Armor Spike
Bhoors Thistledown |
Normally I would rp loot distribution.
As for the ax I say it fits your fight style I have not issue with Aux taking it.
Both potions I think work better in Farid's hands.
RP wise Bhoors thinks everyone should have at least one silver weapon. He would love to have the chess pieces made into arrows.
If we want to convert the daggers to something else that is fine.
Somebody used a cross bow now we have a MW one.
Eveything else I say sell and we can go from there.
Auxavier Atredies |
Ok so let's play it out in the game thread.
DM Giants:
do you mind if we post up in the tavern after Roo checks in on the family for me Bhoors, Farid, and Roo to talk about the adventure and divide loot?

Sounds Great. From now on we can role play as much of the loot as you would like even down to the identifying of each item if you guys would like.
DM Giants |
Ok post is up.
Let me know if you like/hate it and I can delete it....
Not Bad ... just one little fix: Ruthviren only has one sister and his sister has a small 2 year old daughter.
I like how you even tried to format it like I do. To make the headings bigger use the [bigger] [/bigger} around them.
DM Giants |
If someone wants to GM for the next 2 weeks while I am gone be my guess. I just ask that you don't do any combat or adding of story lines and please use the info from the Campaign Info Thread for any role playing with the town NPC's.

If I don't like something I adjust things when I get back.
Have Fun!!
This will be the last day I post for a few days while the Family is traveling and getting settled.
Thanks guys
Auxavier Atredies |
Fixed it...well at least the roo part....
Wanted the "ghost" post to be as non-invasive as possible, so I tried to mimic your style. I had the alias left over from an old rotational DM play by post.
I think we can roleplay the evening's events and next morning prep over the time you are gone...
Farid Heydar |
Will update Farid tonight, going Rogue 1.
Will pass of the Assistant DM duties, busy enough running 4 PbP's and playing in 10 but am happy to RP settling into the town in your absence DM Giants :-)
I agree that Farid would want the potions but nothing else. Whatever else anyone wants he will be fine with. If that is ok with everyone I will update my sheet accordingly.
EDIT: HP = 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 So 1/2 = 4 + 3 = 7.
DM Giants |
Here is some guidelines for the type of equipment that can be bought in
Falcon’s Hollow
Base Value 880 gp
Purchase Limit 5,000 gp
Spellcasting 2nd
Base Value and Purchase Limit: This section lists the community's base value for available magic items in gp. There is a 75% chance that any item of this value or lower can be found for sale in the community with little effort. If an item is not available, a new check to determine if the item has become available can be made in 1 week. A settlement's purchase limit is the most money a shop in the settlement can spend to purchase any single item from the PCs. If the PCs wish to sell an item worth more than a settlement's purchase limit, they'll either need to settle for a lower price, travel to a larger city, or (with the GM's permission) search for a specific buyer in the city with deeper pockets. A settlement's type sets its purchase limit.
Minor Items/Medium Items/Major Items: This line lists the number of magic items above a settlement's base value that are available for purchase. In some city stat blocks, the actual items are listed in parentheses after the die range of items available—in this case, you can use these pre-rolled resources when the PCs first visit the city as the magic items available for sale on that visit. If the PCs return to that city at a later date, you can roll up new items as you see fit.
Minor Magical Items: 3d4 ⇒ (3, 4, 1) = 8
Medium Magical Items: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Spellcasting: Unlike magic items, spellcasting for hire is listed separately from the town's base value, since spellcasting is limited by the level of the available spellcasters in town. This line lists the highest-level spell available for purchase from spellcasters in town. A town's base spellcasting level depends on its type.
this should help you guys role play buying the gear you want before the next adventure. If you have any question please let me know.
DM Giants |
I forgot about the wolf/worg pelts I'll come up with a price for them. The one person I know would like them is Brickasnurd Hildrinsocks - Owner of the Goose n' Gander.
DM Giants |
Ok I have a price in mind for the wolf/worg pelts let me know if you would like to role play it or just tell you the money you would get.
DM Giants |
I was reading over what everyone was claiming and you guys still have a Cure Light Wounds potion to give out and Naleksa gave back the wand of Cure Light Wounds to the group it has 10 charges. Other then that I think all the loot is accounted for.
DM Giants |
Farid claimed 1 Cure Light Wounds Potion there is still one more.
Did not know you had brought the heads back too. I think role playing the pelt sell with the gnome would be a fun trip if anyone wants to. Also if you want to get 50 gold he may be the only one in town willing to pay that much for them.
I am not sure I could do any of the Gnome's role playing since I will be without a computer for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. Some one could role play him in my place or we can wait until I get back.
Bhoors Thistledown |
RPing the sale might be fun that gnome looks like a blast but once we know within the group what we want to keep. I think splitting the cash and getting what we can is easiest.
If I played a gnome that awesome he might accidentally kill Bhoors and take over.
DM Giants |
I have s different owner of The Sitting Duck. But the rest is good for role playing.
Bhoors Thistledown |
Merry Christmas!!!
