"We need fire, you say?" Jefrrey scratches his nose and looks at the others.

He sheaths his sword and puts his shield on his back. (Current AC 19) Jeffrey then takes flint and steel from his backpack and uses it to light two torches, which he also removes from the pack. "I have eight more torches, take them if you need them. Feel free to borrow the flint and steel."

Dual-wielding the torches, Jeffrey moves into the room and stands next to Nebdel. "What about this: we all carry torches, and chase them out! Sounds brilliant, doesn't it?"

All of the cells contain the bones of long-dead dwarves. These unfortunate dwarves were left here to die. The locks on the cell doors have rusted away, making them easy to open. While searching the last cell a skeletal hand reaches up and grabs Jeffrey, he shakes it off and backs away in fear. Within the skeleton's eye sockets a red flame sparks to life as the skeleton stands.

The skeleton in the last cell scrabbles forward and craps at Jeffrey with two boney claws. Jeffrey quickly shakes off his fear and side steps the clumsy attack of the skeleton.

Quickly recovered from his fear, Jeffrey drops the torches and draws his sword and shield. He swings his sword at the skull of the skeleton in the last cell. "Guys! Moving skeletons here!", Jeffrey yells at the others.

August quickly reacts to Jeffrey's shout. Charging into the prison he skewers one of the skeletons on his spear but the undead creature seems unaffected as it rakes at August face. The skeleton's first claw comes up short but the second rends a long gash over August's left eye almost taking the eye out. August takes 5 damage!!

Another skeleton from the third cell moves into the hallway to rip the flesh from Jeffrey's bones. The skeletal claws hit Jeffrey but can not penetrate his armor.

Nebdel rushes forward to help with the menace. He drops the torch in the front of the cell hallway and readies his morning star for combat.

August falls back against the wall, releasing his spear and clutching at his left eye. Dropping the torch in his hand he grabs for the shield on his back and just gets it in front of him before the skeleton come at him trying to finish him off. The skeleton's first claw rips into August's flank but the second claw is defected by the shield. August take 6 more damage!! He is getting low.

Jeffrey stands his ground versus two of the undead creatures. One of the skeletons beats on him mercilessly but still can not pierce the armor of the warrior. The other skeleton's blows are parried by Jeffrey with sword and shield.

Reeling from the attacks, and trying to stand his ground. He hears Nebdel, it sounds like he is calling his name, but all August can see is the enemy before him. The anger of Serila's death, this horrible place, these damn mushrooms!

Nebdel moves to give himself cover from the brutal attacks of the skeleton and prays to Desna to heal his comrade in arms. The spell heals some of August's wounds but the wound on his face is still bleeding badly.

August shield bash has no force behind it and thuds harmlessly against the creatures leather apron. Then August quickly grabs for his spear pulls it out then thrust again at the skeleton. The blow hits but slides off it's pelvic bone causing no damage.

Not hindered at all the skeleton presses the attack, raking out at August again but the clumsy claws flail wildly missing August.

The second skeleton comes at Jeffrey again but hits only air.

I believe a withdraw action will allow you to move without generating an AoO but it is a full round action so uses your entire actions for the round.

Edit: more complete explanation. Withdraw allows up to a double move without drawing an AoO from leaving the square you started in. In this case, leaving the next square does not draw an AoO because it has partial cover due to the wall.

Nebdel is right withdraw is the best bet and does not generate an AoO. So you can move out into the room with a chance of getting attacked. I'll move you.

The remaining skeleton reaches out with it’s cold bone claws to attack Jeffrey. With Jeffrey's shield being used for offence it's out position to block the skeleton's first claws which tears a gash in Jeffrey's armpit. The second claw bounces off Jeffrey's metal helm. Jeffrey takes 3 damage!!

Half of the skeleton's torso is crushed by Jeffrey's shield but it still comes at him with evil in it's red burning eyes. The skeleton misses badly as it tries to adjust for not have 6 ribs.
