As Jeffrey climbs the rickety wooden staircase a rotten post gives way and drops the warrior on to the other waiting to go up. The three are all on the ground in a tangle of legs, arms and ruined staircase.
Jeffrey takes 3 points of damage from the fall. Nebdel and Un'gra each take 2 points of damage from Jeffrey and the staircase falling on them.

{sigh} I guess if we had been thinking we would have checked the stairs.
You guys think these boxes are sturdy enough to stack up to the opening? Otherwise I think we'll have to borrow Keanan's grappel again and go up the outside.
.
I'm assuming the trap door is shut, so we can't throw a grappel up there.

Keanan holds his shield close to his body as he enters the lair. "I hope your wolf companions heal over the next few days. Once I gather these mushrooms, we will leave your lair as soon as possible. My companions are nearby, but I thought it best to come address you alone as I have unique respect for you, your power and your wisdom. I am glad we came to an understanding and helped each other. My name is Keanan Garnet-Gold, should you ever need a druid in the future. Who knows, perhaps we will meet again in the future, Gozreh willing."
Keanan keeps a close eye on the wolf, hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst, never turning his back to the wolf as he gathers the mushrooms. Assuming nothing happens: He will leave the lair in a similar fashion.

Both of the smaller wolves rush into attack the dwarf and his lion. The first lunges at Balazar with its fangs aim at her front shoulder. The wolf's fang sink deep into the lions neck and shoulder leaving a nasty bite. As the wolf pulls away the lion nearly falls to the ground.
The second wolf attacks Keanan snapping at his legs and one of its fangs scrapes along Keanan's calf leaving a big scratch. The wolf tries to pull the dwarf down but does not have the leverage to pull the sturdy dwarf down.

The Worg growls trying to Demoralize Keanan and Balazar.

Jeffrey gets up with an angry shout. "ARGH! Damn you, tower!" He looks up at the ruined staircase, and shakes his head.
"Perhaps only the light guys should go up. I'm quite heavy with all this armor... Will you check out the next floor? I'll go go help the druid with smoking the bats out..."
Jeffrey then walks to the location where the bats were, and notices they're gone.
Where the heck are they?
Perhaps a bit too sudden a change of heart, but... well... not impossible. And to make it a bit more realistic I didn't run toward Keanan and Balazar right away.
| Un'gra |
"Whatever's up there, can stay up there. Let's get these mushrooms and get out of here." Un'gra takes a look around the courtyard. "Anyone see where Keanan went?"

Yep Sorry your last two posts looked the same and where really close together so I looked right over it.
Balazar pounces at the wolf attacking her friend taking advantage of the wolf before it can shake of the stun from hitting the wall. Blood shoots from it's neck as Balazar's claw nearly tears it's head off.

The Worg still paces the room but makes his way toward the doorway."I thank for killing those b!tches, I was growing tried of them anyhow. I will find new mates worthy of Graypelt. The blood on you smells good I might have to take a bite myself." Baring his large fangs and growling.

"Come Balazar, we've spilled enough blood here today, and we got what we came for." Keanan pockets all iron bloom mushrooms I can into my backpack while holding his shield high.
With his back to the wall and shield held high, Keanan and Balazar walk out of the room.

When Jeffrey hears sounds that indicate fighting in the next room, he directly runs off to the room. "Milon, William, notify those at the courtyard! The wolf's room!"
