Half-orc. execute them brutally, then have a light supper, consider maybe having a trial later to justify the brutal execution. Depending on how tasty the victim is will likely determine the guilt or innocence. Heartburn is a sign you executed the wrong person. No harm, pick someone tasty looking and try again.

Ok, you give them to your knoll allies who do not even consuser an alternative and follow their leader narg, who bits down on the jugular slaying them all.
Upon returning to the harpy in the hut she looks astonished at the speed at which the task was executed. My, that was quick. Truly I have made the right decision.
Tolus the Serpent Servant |
Tolus, in true courtly fashion, masks the storm of emotions he has been through today and appears as if he has just taken a light stroll. He strides gracefully into the building and places the head at her feet.
Truly, you have. He waits expectantly for his reward, but is not rude in suggesting that the reward is now due.
Malak Al'Qaum |

I love my "knoll" allies. Are they grassy? Do they have a second gunman on them? ;-P
Fionnbharanel |
I hope someone is carrying Fionn... or did you just leave her there?
DaWay |
The harpy takes the head and puts it in the sou[ with a loud 'plop'. She stirs it and takes a sip. Perfect. Now in order for me to betray my lover, there is on more condition. After you have retaken Kelmarane. I wish to remain here in my workshop. That is the deal my betrayal in order for a secured home? What say you, yes?
Khatijah |
Not with the Harpy group.
Several minutes after leaving the others, Khat looks at Taldor and asks, "I was dead, wasn't I?"
Her voice is small and weak, something that brings to mind the Khat from after the fight with the mold.
Tolus the Serpent Servant |

Tolus pauses for a moment. He has never been in a negotiating capacity. He's a trophy. He quickly thinks through what Almah would say.
I am bound under a person of power. I must abide by her wishes in this matter. All I can offer is that I will vouch for you. For your betrayal, I think this powerful person will accept my recommendation to allow you your Lab. Personally, I am fascinated by your setup and would cherish any opportunity to learn from a fellow alchemist.Taldor |
Taldor keeps his gaze down for a moment before answering Khat "Far beyond any normal man's hands to bring back. It would have taken quite a healer to even make the body presentable at a funeral, much less bring you back" he looks torn, and finally he bangs his fist on his shield "Brakzuel! That weapon of yers is cursed, and I fear what its' purpose is"
Tolus the Serpent Servant |
To Tolus If you promise me I can keep my workshop. Not only will I betray my lover, I will get rid of some of his allies for you. What do you say?
Tolus conciders the offer carefully for a very long moment (though maybe not as long as it seemed to him). He finally meets her eyes and says evenly. Though I may suffer reprisal for assuming authority over my Lady's business, I promise you your workshop.
DaWay |
She saysVery well, these two keys will allow you access. One to the north door of the battle market the other is a key that unlocks the hallway leading to a group of cells. Fear not the smugglers visiting Kardswann they will not fight you. Now if you will take your leave I must have some soup before I go talk to the smugglers.
Fionnbharanel |
Fionn wakes, from healing and rises slowly, moving as if stiff, but she soon recovers and is her sprightly self again. "Thank you, Kara. I feel much better, but I still hurt.. a lot and I have no healing of my own left except channeling... If I'm going to use that, I need to make sure that if anyone else is hurt, they are near me when I do it, so I get everyone I can. Is anyone else in need of healing?" She looks around to the others questioningly... When she is sure she will get everyone who is hurt, she will channel.
Fionnbharanel |
Oops, forgot the roll... not sure if I should roll 1 die or 2 now, so I will roll 2 because Kara got +3 to her spell, so I'm assuming that would be in effect... If I'm wrong, daway please let me know and I will decrease the healing by the amount of the 2nd die. Thanks!
2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
Fionnbharanel |
"I think we should rest, recover healing and spells. I feel Sarenrae's gifts would make me stronger if I rest. Maybe our new 'friend' will allow us to rest in her workshop. It might be safe, and wouldn't require we return to the monastery."
Fionnbharanel |
"We could press on then, but we are short on healing. I have am close to my limits. Not sure what Kara has left. Kara?" She turns to Kara for her assessment of her own healing abilities.
Fionnbharanel |
Fionn will sit a watch and have her gnoll ally sit watch as well, assuring him that we will engage again tomorrow and he will have a chance to slay his foes then.
Tolus the Serpent Servant |
Tolus takes last (early morning) watch with his Gnoll. In his free hour while the casters are preparing and praying, Tolus will tinker with his alchemy.
casters may want to cast all the spells they can and expend all channels as we get them all back in the morning.
Fionnbharanel |
good thinking... i was planning on that anyway, but then i forgot
channel: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8
Khatijah |
Khat looks much healthier after the warming energy floods over everyone.
"We'll need to move quickly tomorrow. I do not trust this woman, or our luck if I am right."
Remember, everyone levels tonight, and we get three points back.

Arizhel |
Early in the morning, Arizhel summons Zerika, and apologizes profusely for dismissing her in order to summon the eagles necessary for the combat against the giant snake. Once she and Zerika are dressed and presentable, the duo meets up with Tolus. Zerika will aid in scouting while Arizhel does her best to help her comrades prepare for the battles doubtless ahead.
Stealth (Zerika): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Perception (Zerika): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
Khatijah |
Khatijah forgoes her normal routine and has all of the various knives on display. Tempest takes its normal place at her side and the cestus on her off hand. Before Tolus, Arizhel, and Zerika leave, she gives the three a word of caution.
"Careful you three, there are probably worse things than gnolls afoot."
Arizhel |
"Oh, you misunderstand. Scouting is not my forte. That is why I have Zerika. She is the sneaky one. I plan on staying in the rear with you." As the scouting party gathers, Arizhel takes a moment to cast Message on Talus, Khatijah, and herself. This spell won't work over long distance, but it makes it easier to talk quietly should you find anything. If you do go out of range, keep in mind I can talk to Zerika for much greater distances.
