DM-Salsa |

Okay, it sounds like we have a plan. Tusilak and Aerodus will leave and come back with reinforcements to save Sev and Raina. If that's the case, go ahead and post you're retreat, and I'll move the game along when I can. We have a site switch at work this weekend so that may not happen until Monday.
Thanks guys, I hope you have enjoyed the game so far.

Raina Thornton |

I'm happy with the game, and I don't mind dangerous games either... but I'd prefer to keep my character for more than one encounter! I quite like her! I'd rather Raina die in a blaze of epic heroism than to some 2nd-rate thugs who rolled well :)

DM-Salsa |

Same here, that's why I'm deviating a little.
Oh and I never miss and opportunity to trot out the rude, crude, but lovable (debatably) Brask.
Hope you guys enjoy the diversion.

"Sev" |

I posted Nora's entry when I should have been making my new character to replace Reginald. Haha. I just got in from doing a bunch of yard work and now I can finally get some crunch going on.
I'm enjoying this game a lot so far, and I think as long as we just go with the flow, it'll always be fun. :)

DM-Salsa |

Info's up. This is information that can be gathered relatively easily, so it's alright if you assume that your character knows it all.

DM-Salsa |

Okay, I don't play many casters, so I may be totally off. Talli has a number of abilities that I think stack with each other.
Bloodline:
-Elemental(Water): Change any elemental damage type to cold.
-Linnorm(Cold): gain a natural armor bonus equal to the spell level for 1d4 rounds.
Traits:
-Gifted Adept(Burning Hands): Cast as 1 caster level higher.
Feats:
-Elemetal Focus (Cold): +1 DC to all spells that deal cold damage.
So, if I cast Burning Hands as a cold spell, it should grant a +1 natural armor bonus, deal 2d4 damage, and have a save DC of 15. I wanted to ask all of you because My rules-fu is not that good when it comes to casters.

Nora Baradin |

Nora won't agree to killing Hookshanks. She might be alright with breaking and entering and self-defense, but she's not down for execution. In her mind, the threat is neutralized and there is no point in killing him.
I know she's just a temporary character, and I'm not saying she's going to make a big stink about it and hold up the party if you guys want to kill Hookshanks, but she'll definitely look down on it. Harshly. When I make characters, I like to give them realistic attitudes and motivations, and that's kind of the caveat of playing with me. Sorry about that.

Tusilak Stalks Twilight |

There appear to be three possibilities.
1. Someone who wanted us to go after Lamm, pretended to be Zellara. Let's say a daughter or twin sister. But, that person would have no motivation to move the card deck from Zellara's to here and would only have had limited opportunity to do so - basically only because we had to go hire Nora and Balth.
2. Lamm or one of his cronies pretended to be Zellara to lure all of his enemies here and kill them. But, Lamm would have lured us into a death trap of some sort and for sure would have gloated over how clever he was once he came face to face with us.
3. The Zellara and card deck we originally saw were spirits of the dead.
Which explanation do you think the Int 8, Wis 16 shaman of the dead is going for? ;-) I'll let our trickster take his crack at one of the first two.

"Sev" |

Orrrr Zellara used a magical phone booth from the future past to go into the future present to recruit five teenagers with attitude and save a dance school from being shut down by the man and help a steel mill worker with dreams of becoming a professional dancer finally achieve her goals before John Lithgow outlaws dancing forever.

"Aerodus" |

Salsa - let me know if you are okay with Aerodus selling the goods for about 75% (instead of 50%) of their value (except jewelry which is 100%). If anyone wants anything speak up now. We don't have to roleplay the selling experience unless you would prefer to.

DM-Salsa |

Let me look up the rules for that. I want to finish this bit so we can get moving onto the next big part.

AdamWarnock |

Okay I have to make an apology. I'm sorry that I didn't get the game updated last night. There have been some things going on in my life that I need to get straight. That said, I'm putting the game on hold for a little bit so I can get my head and priorities straight. Relax and have fun over the weekend. I'll try to get the game going again Monday.
Again, sorry about this, but I need to get some things straight first.

"Aerodus" |

Completely understand. RL always takes precedence. This game should be fun for everyone (players and DM). Definitely don't want it to get to the point where the game seems to be a chore/hassle because you have so much else going on - do your thing.

DM-Salsa |

Okay I think I'm better now. Still didn't get a few things I needed to get done finished, but the game will move forward tomorrow evening (CDT (-5 GMT), it's currently 11PM here.) Expect a wall of text.

TheRedMage |

All,
I very sorry to say this, but I will have to withdraw from the game (and in fact, every game I am involved in). Of course, it is for “real life” issues but I think you all deserve more explanation than that as you’ve given me a chance to game with you.
I have a very young daughter who has a serious medical condition. She had some hospitalizations last year and we thought that things were better. Unfortunately, things are looking worse now. Without going into too much detail, I will be focusing all my time on her and my wife and in the free time I have I don’t think I will even be in the state of mind to enjoy a game. Who knows, I may find that escape from my RL problems it what I end up needing, but in the mean time none of you should suffer from a player who is only half-there.
Sorry again for the disruption this causes and I appreciate your understanding. I hope our paths will cross again.

DM-Salsa |

I hope she gets well soon. I'm sorry to see you go. Good luck and I pray that God will help you and yours through this.

DM-Salsa |

Okay, if TheRedMage comes back I'm confident I can work him in pretty well. If he wants to rejoin he is more than welcome.
That said, are you okay with three PCs and a GMPC? Or do we want to see about grabbing a new person, or two?

DM-Salsa |

That's what I figured. I want this to move forward, but I don't want to leave you guys in the dust.
Well, this is as good of a time as any to find some new blood, But I'll wait until I hear from Riddle and michaelane.

Tusilak Stalks Twilight |

Red Mage, my prayers are with your family. I hope things improve and we see you again.
I'm still in. I'll warn you that you may see a delay from me here and there. Work continues to be crazy good but crazy right now. If I slow at all, play me. I'll be back as soon as I can.

"Sev" |

Well, I guess I'm about to make it a bit easier for you! As I posted in the discussion on Alice's game, school is just going to be a nightmare pretty soon, and I'm also working on finding another job. My time is going to be so limited that I absolutely will not be able to post on a basis that I would consider consistent or fair to everyone else. I'm actually really annoyed because I spent a great deal of time and effort creating Sev and Zahar, and now I basically have to shelf them before I ever get to fully enjoy them.
It sucks.
I want to say that I'll come back in the future, but I don't know where I'll be. I guess time will tell, and I wish you all good luck with the game and your personal lives. :)

Raina Thornton |

Man, I'm so sad. I was totally hoping for Sev and Raina to be able to make up with what happened in the past and have some kind of romantic drama going on... :P
Best wishes once again, Riddle.
I guess that seals the deal for recruiting more!

DM-Salsa |

Well, that settles the recruiting issue at least.
I'm sorry to see both of you guys go. If you ever want to jump back in, drop me a PM and I'll work something out. I feel like I never got to know Sev or Aerodus that well, but I think they would have been some interesting characters in this.
I hope things work out for you guys.
I'm going to get a recruitment thread going. Do we want two or three people? I'm leaning towards three just to have some cushion.

DM-Salsa |

Recruitment thread's up. Please feel free to post there and tell them how great (or horrible, though I certainly hope it's great) I am and feel free to look through the entries. I'd like your input so I can make a good decision and find the best fit for this group.
Thanks for putting up with the delays, you guys are awesome.

DM-Salsa |

I've got plans, and they'll happen pretty soon.
Sorry for the non-answer, but I don't want to give anything away at this point.

DM-Salsa |

No problem. Just deciding how to play Tusilak's next post.
Don't worry about tomorrow just yet. I have something planned, don't worry.
>:)

DM-Salsa |

Okay. Can everyone post in the thread what they're doing for the night, I'm going to be picking up with the next morning on Friday.

DM-Salsa |

Okay, I've got a list of current candidates. Can you guys give them a brief once over and see who you like and give me your top four.

Pasiune Rhade |

Hey guys, smooth talking Flame Oracle checking in! Prepare to listen to the Dawnflower's praises quite often...
Thanks for the invite, DM.

Russwin Ardath |

Posting here as my PC so that the campaign shows up in my campaigns tab.
EDIT: Well that didn't work either. Maybe I have to wait until I've posted in the gameplay thread.
