Monday Daud |

One could be mistaken for thinking Monday had a cat's ears and tail right now, the latter shaking back and in forth in anticipation, even moreso as the femal indicated Monday.
"Thank you Tal, take good care of Mera for me would ya? Going to have to pump these two for information it seems," she says to the almost fleeing bodyguard before turning back to the Tieflings and purring out "Yessss, it would probably be beneficial to everyone if you do exactly as I say..."

Mera Wist-Thrune |

Oh boy. I'm afraid to see what is in the next room.

DM RichD |

"Yessss, it would probably be beneficial to everyone if you do exactly as I say..."
I suppose its better than being executed! the male tiefling says.
At The Tailor's House
As Tal clangs his way up the narrow stairs and slowly raises up the trapdoor, a short sword comes rushing towards his face.

Monday Daud |

"Smart man!" Monday happily says while climbing p the rest of the way into the bed an scrawling towards the two Tieflings.

Tal Bernard Mainz |

If Monday is back in time for the combat then she is doing something either really wrong or really right. Don't know which one it would be though.

DM RichD |

@Monday:
Add +3 bonus to your roll since you now have..uh..intimate knowledge of them.

DM RichD |

Sure we'll come along, but the big guy took our stuff! the male says. By the way, my name is Quayzark.
You seem a lot more fun than that Palaveen guy is ..or..was..'I am a descendent of Mammon' ohhh scary. the female says with a roll of her eyes. My name is Prashana.

Monday Daud |

"My pleasure... again, to meet you both. My name is Monday, and the man over there shaking his head is my brother Tuesday," she gleefully says before adding, "And don't worry, we'll get your stuff back."

Naberius Belthrune |

Round 1
Naberius flicks his wand at the tiefling that struck Tal. He calls out, "Your leader has been defeated! Put down your weapons, or prepare to spend an eternity in the Pit that spawned you!"
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Naberius would be positioned behind Tal in the stairway leading up to the shop, far enough that he can't be hit but where he can still see up.

Mera Wist-Thrune |

Excellent diplomacy Monday, bravo. I'm afraid Mera won't be as enthusiastic to hear about them I'm afraid!
Moving quickly behind Nabe, Mera clumsily takes a pot shot at the enemy. Trying extremely hard not to hit Tal she doesn't as close to her target as she'd like.
"Gah, sorry Tal!"
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 4 - 4 = 11

DM RichD |

Round 1
Naberius calls for the tiefling to surrender while stinging him with a magic missile. Raveen can barely see what's going on less get a shot in. The tiefling snarls and says, You lie! Palaveen can never be defeated! He is a descendant of Mammon! He then attempts to stab Tal again but this time misses.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Tal's Round 1 Action here.
Mera attempts to shoot the Tiefling but misses.

Tal Bernard Mainz |

Not expecting the blade to pierce his defenses Tal is slow to recover from the initial attack. Yet even then his shield and armor were enough to thwart the tiefling's second strike. When the teifling ignores Naberius claim tAl shrugs his shoulder. Believe what you want but he is dead and you will join him soon. Tal then brings the blade around trying to end this threat so they can all go home and he can see Lily.
Power attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 for 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Appreciative of Mera distracting the teifling with her shot and naberius with his magic Tal hopes helands a powerful blow on the tiefling.

DM RichD |

Round 1 Cont'
Tal finishes off the tiefling almost splitting him in two and as he emerges fully from the trap door he hears movement from the floor above.

Tactical Map Updated

Tal Bernard Mainz |

Talk looks to the towers behind him to see if they heard the noise upstairs. Surely those upstairs heard the noise so there was no point in being subtle any longer. More up above. Lets hurry up.
RichD as Tal's action was just a standard action could he use his move action still to move upwards this round? If so please do so accordingly. Thanks.

Naberius Belthrune |

Round 2
Naberius moves after Tal, staying back a few paces in order to not block anyone else from advancing.
Move into the shop, stopping 10 feet behind Tal.

Mera Wist-Thrune |

Crossbow still in hand Mera eases up behind Naberius. She whispers to Naberius, "Maybe Vasco should take a look?"

DM RichD |

Round 1 Cont'
Tal advances into the room.
Round 2
Naberius moves to just a few feet after Tal seeing what trouble might be coming down the stairs. Raveen moves to behind Tal and readies his crossbow if any hostiles present themselves.
Tal Round 2 Action Here
Mera moves behind Naberius and suggests Vasco scout ahead. Vasco gives her a look like he wants to peck her eyes out!
I'll wait for Tal's action before the tieflings.

Tal Bernard Mainz |

Continuing onward Tal moves to go up the stairwell to meet the next guests that more than likely wish to introduce him to their short sword. This time forewarned Tal will not be caught by surprise and as easily hit in a weak area of his armor.
Continue to move towards where ever the sound is coming from unless there is a foe that he can see in a single move. If so then talk will power attack to clear the way for Naberius and Raveen. Is the tie fling on the map there or not? I thought he sound was 1 level up?
If Vasco looks like he is going to attack Mera though then Tal must fulfill his obligation and prevent Vasco from attacking his employer. Keep that bird in check please Naberius. I don't want to have to prevent him from going after Mer. He would not like It I am afraid. Shouldn't be too hard to grab Vasco out of the air and keep him tight in my fist to ensure his cooperation. I trust you to keep him under control though.

Tal Bernard Mainz |

power attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 for 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Another of you lousy tieflings. Good gods this place is crawling with you. You're like cockroaches you know that. Just when you think you are exterminated another shows up.

Naberius Belthrune |

Round 3
Hearing the sickening crunch of Tal's sword cleaving through flesh and bone, Naberius moves up after the bodyguard to make sure that the job is finished...
Move to the square -B0, which should have line of sight. Then magic missile the wounded tiefling.
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
...and Vasco does not make any aggressive motions towards Mera. He might be a bit skittish at the moment, but Naberius is more likely to go after her eyes than the poor little raven! :P

DM RichD |

Round 2
Tal's sword leaves a severe gash on the tiefling, and while it is enough to serious hurt the demon-spawn it is not enough to kill him.
This cockroach fights back! he shouts as he weakly tries to stab Tal taking a step forward.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
As he tries to stab Tal a crossbow bolt from Raveen zings through the air and finishes him off.
The tiefling behind takes a step forward and also tries to stab Tal
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
and he also misses. You may slay us, but Palaveen will avenge us!

Mera 11 (15/15)

Tiefling 3 (10/10)
Naberius smirks at the mention of Palaveen and answers the tiefling with a flick of his wand with the missile damaging the tiefling.
Next Up: Raveen
Tactical Map Updated

Tal Bernard Mainz |

Tal chuckles at the feeble attempts to hit him. Palaveen is dead and so are the rest of your band of misfits. Why don't you join them so this can be over with.
Power attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 for1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Apparently Tal was having more fun mocking than killing at this point as the blade almost slips from his grasp. With the tiefling still standing Tal steps back 5 ft to allow Raveen to get closer if h should so wish.

Mera Wist-Thrune |

Mera tries to find a good angle for our shot but can't seem to take what she wants without risking hitting her allies. She tries to take the outside corner edge but misses wide.
Ranged attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 - 4 = 3

DM RichD |

Round 3 Cont'
As Mera's bolt sails harmlessly pass him, the tiefling smirks. I'm not so easy to kill! He then thrusts out his sword to try to stab Tal but also misses.

Mera 11 (15/15)

Tiefling 3 (7/10) WOUNDED
Next Up: Naberius

Naberius Belthrune |

Round 4
Realising the futility of the tiefling's struggle against Tal's superior defenses, Naberius takes a more conservative approach to the slaughter. He lowers his wand slightly, waiting to see if his companions manage to squash this last cockroach without needing to waste any more precious magical energy on such a menial task...
Ready an action to magic missile the suicidal tiefling, if he still stands after Mera's next turn.
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Tal Bernard Mainz |

As Tal is after Raveen I might as well go to keep things moving...
Tal laughs at the feeble attempt again by the tiefling. Your blade work is so pathetic. clearly the only way you were able to accomplish anything at all was b catching those that were asleep and unprepared. I am glad that we are exterminating you.
Tal gives another viscous swing hoping to end this quickly.
power attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 for 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
crit confirm 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 for 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Tal is proud to see a gush of blood as the tiefling collapses to the ground. There, are we done now or are there more to finish off. If so, Naberius do you have a way of cleaning their filth off of me?

Naberius Belthrune |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Naberius puts down his wand and says, "We still have two passages to investigate. Go look the upstairs, if you would. We will search here, and relieve these hellspawn of their undoubtedly ill-gotten belongings. As for cleaning," he looks the warrior up and down, "I will make sure you look proper once we disembark. No need to worry your wife, of course. Patience, please..."
The wizard glances back towards where they came from, wondering briefly how Monday was faring with the other tieflings. He quickly pushes the thought aside in disgust—and perhaps with a twinge of jealousy—doing his best to focus on searching the building. It was not like she was incapable of taking care of herself, not to mention that damnable ghost...
I assume we'll take 20s all around, loot everything that isn't nailed down, and then move on to the next door. Go go go!

Tal Bernard Mainz |

Tal nods in agreement with Naberius. Very well I will look upstairs for any furthers signs of the group and their ill gotten gains. Thank you as well for being willing to clean up this mess of a tiefling on my gear. It would take me hours to scrub all of this off myself.
Good with taking 20 upstairs as well.

Masked Conspirator |

Same.
The masked man lowered his crossbow and nodded at Tal to take down the tiefling. After the enemy was down, he nodded at the two, moving ahead. He will hold his action and shoot the next enemy.
He will also loot his used bolts (2; 1 left)
percentile: 1d100 ⇒ 74
percentile: 1d100 ⇒ 7
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 1 + (4) = 10
[5/12] bolts remaining.

Naberius Belthrune |

As soon as it becomes apparent that there is nothing more to be found in the shop, Naberius motions for Tal to lead the way towards the next one.
Two down, two to go.

Tal Bernard Mainz |

Gathering hte fallen weapons and armor for resale Tal agrees with NAberius to move on to the next area. On the way past Mera though he stops, Do you have that healing wand that we found or any healing left? I could use some asI was caught unawares by the scum tiefling and he was able to get past my guard.
Once that is accomplished Tal will gladly move on and finish clearing everything out.

Monday Daud |

Monday gives a tired yet happy wave as she sees the others return. "Find anything good? Oh! And by the way," not really giving anyone a chance to respond she then offers her hands towards her two Tiefling companions. "This sturdy and exquisite lad is Quayzark, and this flexible and lovely lady is Prashana AND... they would like to join us."
With those introductions out of the way she turns back to her comrades, beaming.
