So far I am the only person who took the 20pt buy. So far I haven’t been disappointed. The extra HP saved Khaz from dying to a demonic Minotaur critting him!

Purple Pointyear |

I read the build rules and I took 20Point buld with Max HP.
For Campaign trait I wanted the Child of the Crusade with the Save reroll, but PCGen doesn't give the option. Also I'm not sure how to bend the connected background to my story. Storywise I'd like to have Chance Encounter, with some stranger leading me where I meet the others. But that bonus sucks pretty much.
Can I have the one story and the bonus from the other?
Child of the Crusade:
Once per day when you fail a saving throw against an effect
created by a demon that would possess or incapacitate
you mentally, you may immediately reroll that saving
throw as a free action.
Chance Encounter:
Once per day, if you fail an Acrobatics, Bluff, Disguise, Sleight of Hand,
or Stealth check, you may immediately reroll that check
as a free action.

Current Party:
Dwarven Aasimar Warpriest - “Paladin” (Melee)
Human Magus (Melee)
Tiefling Oracle (Divine)
Tiefling Evoker (Arcane)
Half-Drow Fighter/Arcanist/Rogue (Switch Hitter, Ranged Focus - traps)
Quite a colorful band. But it looks like we have all of the roles covered and builds are looking good.

Well, good decision. Going to 14 Con costs 5 points. So I got Con 10 and by eliminating chance I still got 1.5 HP more per level on average.
Or you go HP crazy and get max HP with a good con bonus.
Only when min/maxing with little need for HP the 25 point buy is the better solution.

I'm still looking through the rules if I find something to replace the wall climber rogue feat, and will replace the mythic dark vision for that mythic thing where you don't need to eat, drink and breath. But from my point of view, you can drop purple in the game.

Err. Just noticed from both of your statlines. We're actually level 6, with 1 mythic tier. Seems like both of you built level 7 characters.

Purple Pointyear |

Maybe Raltus forgot to tell you to level up?
Me
Ok, seriosly: I looked at Khaz' statline and interpreted the Warpriest (6) Guardian (1) as a 7th level multiclass character. Even told raltus in PM that I built a 7th level character with tier one. The error went unnoticed until right now.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Both new PCs were built as 7. So should we have leveled up?
Easy enough if so. I would get...
BaB: +1 (5)
HP: +14
Saves: None
Spells: +2 lvl3 spells (Both Prayer)
Class: Sacred Armor
Feat: Furious Focus
Skills: Heal, Diplomacy, Perception

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Because Guardian is Mythic. It is warpriest lvl6 and guardian tier1

A personality for a character with an IQ of 220 and charisma in the dumps is a first for me. Will see how that plays out. I see him being expressionless and hard to read. Of few words and when there are words they are blunt and to the point, rarely offensive, and often you just don't know what he just said. You will like him, however, for what he can do for you. He is a good person who likes to help others and has the skills to do so.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Given where we are, it’s hard to ask for more. It’s the worldwound. Better competent in battle and blunt in speech than the other way around.

I pinged Customer Service before looking on the Boards for intel. Diego in Customer Service pinged back yesterday, letting me know that the tech team doesn't have a timeline for resolution, as the main energy is focusing on the issues they're having with the 'shipping code'. Therein lies their priority.

I feel like this is code for "Pathfinder 2 isn't doing well, so we can't really afford the staff to keep this game company running."
I wouldn't look so negatively at that. You have a number of staff that does the work. And in this IT work you have things like the shop and delivery systems and other stuff that earn you money by supporting selling stuff.
And then you have stuff that is mostly for marketing, that only costs and brings no money, other than leading people to use the former part of your IT to buy stuff. Like the boards.
And if both systems fail in some way then priorities kick in. If some issue arises that hinders people to throw money at your company, or to get the products they threw that money at you for, then that is priority 1. Up to the point where that fancy marketing manager sits with blue collar guys in the storehouse office lablling parcels by hand.
Just to put some less doomy economic perspective here. It's not like I know what's really going on behind the scenes at paizo right now.

Hi all, I really appreciate your patience. We've got a really small team here and I've been trying to balance priorities as best we can. That being said, we have found the root cause for this issue and are looking to deploy a fix soon, probably in the next couple days. I will update this thread once it is live.

I happen to know that Paizo's going through some financial contraction - reduced outlay on certain parts of their budget have been reported. One symptom of this is that support for randos who use bandwidth but don't spend money on it is no longer a priority.

Jocasta Riverwood |

Yep - they have to pay for servers, for drive space (which is fortunately cheap), for maintenance on the server software, for their internet connection... and people who use the servers but aren't buying anything are just a cost sink for them.
I am not interested in Starfinder or PF2, so I don't buy those products. Since they aren't making new PF1 products, this means that I'm not spending any money on their stuff. So my participation on these forums costs them money. Why would they want to use their resources on that?

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

I paid enough for PF1 books to not feel bad...and besides, a vibrant community here is the best commercial they could ask for when it comes to their products.

DM Raltus |

That makes sense, I have bought the Core book for Star Finder but the group i Play with make characters and did a one shot and that is it.
I have paid more than my fair share for PF1 products so as Khaz says I don't feel bad, I want to get all the Hard covers to read the fluff and such inside of them

Oof, sorry for missing a turn. Work has been weird lately.

Yep, "swinging her spear around" is pretty much what Lorena does right now. :) Next level will be more fun.

Lorena. |

Flight's the big one! So I can swing my spear around while flying ;)

Molos Sarazan |

Khaz, I am curious as to why you cast charming presence on me. I was going to test it out. If they fail, I could flank with you with impunity. That is what I was doing last round. Your to hit seems pretty high already. If they make the DC I could be in trouble if they paralyze me before I can withdraw. Just wanted to clarify in case I am missing something obvious before the next round of bad guys shows up.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Because in Khaz’s mind you are Str12/Con12 with no armor and he hasn’t seen you fight. So he was being protective, and wanted to keep you safe. That’s all, no super intelligent plans. Nor did he realize (and I forgot) that it wouldn’t work on undead anyways...

Map is updated, I did it about 20 minutes ago according to the time stamp. The demon is in front of you now blocking your charge lane, it is the one who laid the hurt on Jocasta.
Also for note, most of the fights you will do till you get to the citadel will be the only fights in a day. So burn your stuff, there are 1-2 more fights after this one in here.
