Maddie channels again, but the allips have strong wills and continue to resist the full effects. László swings Ayaki's greatsword, but the allip dodges back. It tries to claw at the Varisian, but he ducks away.

Which is essentially just creative use of the actual combat maneuver from the APG of the same name, though normally accompanied by a CMB check (seeing as he's trying to stay next to the fascination effect). And since Ayaki can't fight, he can't take the AoO he'd normally get. Huzzah!

The allip continues to claw at the elemental with insane, single-minded focus. In its maddened state it seems almost blindly flailing at the air, completely missing.
