The Mariner gets in a lucky shot and cuts the Captain deep, but not deep enough to kill.

Pinkie and the last buccaneer continue to fight on the deck, with the kid getting in two good stabs.

The fight nears a bloody end, though who will prevail remains unknown. Cats slashes the wraith, tearing into shadowy pieces. The Mariner clashes with the Captain, and though Fearless batters it psyche with mental power he cannot seem to finish him off.

Pinkie fights on the lower deck, slowly getting the better of his foe.

Cats and The Mariner cut down the enemy Captain. As he falls his body begins to dissolve into ash and smoke, and his tricorn falls off and rolls across the deck.

The last buccaneer falls quickly to the rest of the Watchmen.

As the battle ends the strange red-sailed ship shudders, its decking pulling up in places, chains rattling below. It growls like a living beast and seems to speak.

Fearless:
”Denizens of Leng never die. Captain Vadrack is my master. He will come again. And his master, the great and terrible Weiralai, will follow.”

"What?" Fearless looks around. "You say something Pinkie?" He looks confused. "I heard someone say Denizens of Leng never die. Captain Vadrack is my master. He will come again. And his master, the great and terrible Weiralai, will follow." Fearless grabs the tricorn and plops it onto his head, tipping it sideways a small bit so it stays in place.

Cats moves to retrieve the tricorne, using his rusty blade to pick it up and hand it to Mariner. "Catiner, I believe this is yours. You are my Catptain."

Cats turns to look at Fearless, then his eyes narrow at Pinkie.

"Who are you? Where are you? Because you're not here because we're not here. Where the cat are you?" Cats thinks about leveling his sword at Pinkie, but does not yet. "Cattie? What happened to you?"

"No We here,but your not here. Crap I'm naked!"Pinkie starts digging around the corpses trying to outfit himself as he talks."These boneheads came and shanghaied us and now we are here."Pinkie stands up straight "You are here to help me get back right?"


The Mariner takes the tricorn and and wipes the dreamy sweat off his brow. "Thanks Cats. Now..." he looks over to the young Pinkie and back and forth, and back and forth, at Cats, "What the hell am I looking at?"

Shaking his head he continues
"Then these guys showed up and got all piratey and shanghaied me. Its been easy enough to get out of the belly of that beast"

He then throws any weapon he can find at the other boat

"but with nowhere to go once out id get caught"

Fearless eyes Pinkie suspiciously. Awfully familiar of him to show up with a bunch of pirates and a story that matches! Is he in cahoots with the bald, sex crazed shapeshifter?

"Welcome back Pinkie! We though you got snatched up like The Twin!" Fearless looks around and goes back to grab the rod. "Suppose we wake up for real this time?"

"What are you catting about?" Cats looks at Fearless, looking for some back up that probably won't come. "Dude, it's fine that your dream form is here...but where is your *real* body? The Mariner checks the bodies for any stash they can find for the next jaunt, then, finds a spot and tries to wake up.

Fearless hadn't even thought of Brother Butterfly messing with their bodies. It gives him a shudder. "Probably caressing some door while he is at it." Fearless then tries to wake up once more.

Standing there. Watching the breathing, Jasper has no idea of the trash talking being done about him in the world of dreams. A world he quickly ran from with his tail between his legs when things got tough.

Cats rubs the back of his neck trying to think of the next destination of the boat. "We're on Lake Catcatian, I think?"

Cats looks at Mariner, who may be able to explain where they are in the real world.

You think the ship you are on was within sight of the other ship when the Captain shifted to the Dreamlands.

The red-sailed leng ship shudders and grumbles beneath the feet of the Watchmen. A yardarm swings in and nearly brains Cats.

Pinkie knows that the captain of the ship called it the Bloodwind and treated it sort of like a horseman treats an unruly horse. The wheel seemed to act as it’s reigns.

Pinkie moves in behind the wheel of the ship "Okay Bloodwind i want off here ass much as you want us off so ..... third start to the east and onword till morning"then he clicks his heals together and adds "theres no place like home"


The ship growls. It’s wheel yanks at Pinkie’s hands, trying to pull free of his grip.

The Mariner had been squinting his eyes to wake himself up. After a few minutes pass, he still is hears the trio rattling on about extended family members. He pops one eye open "What the barmy is going on? One of you stop imagining Pinkie so we can get the hell out of here"

Cats tries to wake, eventually succeeding. He looks for Butterfly and tries to explain how they will never see Pinkie again because they don't know where he is in the living world.


Fearless tries and fails to comprehend Pinkie’s jumbled ramblings. Unsure if the nine-fingered kid is even real, the Mariner tries to wake himself. With little idea how to rescue the lost little Watchboy, Cats focuses on waking to find Brother Butterfly.

Meanwhile, Pinkie grab the wheel of the Bloodwind, grits his teeth, and wills the surly ship to take him back to the waking world. The ship groans and shudders, and a stiff gust of wind blows in to fill its sails. It then suddenly lurches upwards, rising from water and lifting into the sky!

Higher and higher it goes, laughing with an evil disembodied chuckle.

Fearless tries to wake himself before the ship flies off with him on board as well. "Find us in the real world Pinkie. Meet us at the port of...." he drowns out as he wakes up able to barely call out the name of the nearest Port.

Brother takes in the events recounted from the dream world with hmms and ohhs.

I think we need to do the ritual again , but this time focus on the ship.

Cats hopes for a bit more explanation from Brother, but realizes the man might not know everything...or even anything.

"Well, that's pretty uncatisfying. I dunno where Cattie is. Or where we might find him. We tried," Cats grouses. "Okay, we can try again tomorrow night, but not sure how it's going to help if Cattie doesn't even know where he is."

The Mariner awakens on the creaking deck, opening his eyes to see Brother already on his feet and pacing about. "Wanna tell us what happened back there Big Beef?"
